Bilo je to prije dvije godine, na povratku s Grand slama u Kini. I tada je kazao, za neke i hrabro, no on dobro zna zbog čega:

- Osvojit ću medalju! Ali neću reći koju da ne čuje i da joj ne stvorim presing.

Toni Kanaet, tom mladiću se sav pošteni trud i rad na tatamiju isplatio, vratio mu je sve ono što je posljednje desetljeće ulagao u sebe. Olimpijske igre je izborio je kineskom Wuxiju. Tada je prvi put imao sreće koja mu je vratila za sve sate proveden na treninzima.

Na svjetskoj listi bio je šesti, prvi „ispod crte“. Međutim, direktan plasman na OI ostvario je i borac koji je tri godine u nizu osvojio Grand Slam, a to je po treći put napravio Rus Maksim Hramcov. Upravo je on „povukao“ Toni na Igre u Tokio.

Bila je to 2019. godina, možda i najteža u Tonijevoj karijeri, godina u kojoj je prebolio mononukleozu i oporavio se od ozljede oka i prsta. "Mi" tada nije zaboravio kazati.

- Puno su mi pomogli moji treneri Toni Tomas, Veljko Laura i Marko Novak koji su cijeli život bili uz mene i kad je bilo uspona i padova. Osim njih, od ozljeda su spašavali doktor Ante Bandalović i fizioterapeut Ivo Babić jer sam prije mjesec i po dana na europskom prvenstvu slomio prst na ruci i takvog prsta morao na nekoliko natjecanja. Ne želim stati na ovome i želim se fokusirati i raditi kao nikad kako bih postao prvi muški sportaš koji je osvojio medalju na olimpijskim igrama. Naravno, bez cijele ekipe na treningu s kojima spariram ne bih došao do ovog

I postao je prvi Hrvat koji je u muškoj konkurenciji osvojio medalju, brončanu, veliku. Svoj je san dosanjao, sav trud koji je uložio u sport mu se vratio s ovom broncom. Još jednom velikom medaljom u nizu.

Sportski put mu je započeo sa sedmom godinom, u dvorani na splitskim Plokitama, gdje je tada doselio, krenuo je zajedno sa sestrom. Tri godine kasnije treneri su ga izdvojili u novu dvoranu na Blatinama, u grupu boljih boraca gdje je upoznao godinu dana mlađeg Lovru Brečića koji mu je postao najbolji prijatelj.

- Uzor su mi bile Ana i Lucija Zaninović koje u klubu bile od osnutka 2000. godine i uvijek su osvajale medalje. Došao sam dvije godine nakon njih. Sjećam se kad sam ih kao mali dočekivao na aerodromu kad bi se vračale s velikih natjecanja. To mi je uvijek bilo baš lijepo.

Posljednjih godina baš je Toni zajedno s Lovrom Brečićom iskočio u prvi plan nekako je sve navikao na osvajanje medalje, bilo na europskim i svjetskim prvenstvima, bilo na Grand Slam kupovima i turnirima najviše klase. Izrastao je u - velikog sportaša. Nekada je gledao svoje uzore, danas je on – taj. Uzor mladima.

- Kad osvojim medalju obuzme me neopisiv osjećaj koji me gura naprijed. Kao ovisnost je. Ne znam kako ću izdržati kada dođe vrijeme da se moram prestati baviti taekwondoom.

Jedno je sigurno, jednog dana kada okonča svoju sportsku karijeru, moći će kao kineziolog nastaviti u sportu. No svoje je mjesto u povijesti hrvatskog i splitskog sporta ispisao, zauzeo na Partenonu slave. Zasluženo rekosmo. Radom.

Bilo je to prije dvije godine, na povratku s Grand slama u Kini. I tada je kazao, za neke i hrabro, no on dobro zna zbog čega:

- Osvojit ću medalju! Ali neću reći koju da ne čuje i da joj ne stvorim presing.

Toni Kanaet, tom mladiću se sav pošteni trud i rad na tatamiju isplatio, vratio mu je sve ono što je posljednje desetljeće ulagao u sebe. Olimpijske igre je izborio je kineskom Wuxiju. Tada je prvi put imao sreće koja mu je vratila za sve sate proveden na treninzima.

Na svjetskoj listi bio je šesti, prvi „ispod crte“. Međutim, direktan plasman na OI ostvario je i borac koji je tri godine u nizu osvojio Grand Slam, a to je po treći put napravio Rus Maksim Hramcov. Upravo je on „povukao“ Toni na Igre u Tokio.

Bila je to 2019. godina, možda i najteža u Tonijevoj karijeri, godina u kojoj je prebolio mononukleozu i oporavio se od ozljede oka i prsta. "Mi" tada nije zaboravio kazati.

- Puno su mi pomogli moji treneri Toni Tomas, Veljko Laura i Marko Novak koji su cijeli život bili uz mene i kad je bilo uspona i padova. Osim njih, od ozljeda su spašavali doktor Ante Bandalović i fizioterapeut Ivo Babić jer sam prije mjesec i po dana na europskom prvenstvu slomio prst na ruci i takvog prsta morao na nekoliko natjecanja. Ne želim stati na ovome i želim se fokusirati i raditi kao nikad kako bih postao prvi muški sportaš koji je osvojio medalju na olimpijskim igrama. Naravno, bez cijele ekipe na treningu s kojima spariram ne bih došao do ovog

I postao je prvi Hrvat koji je u muškoj konkurenciji osvojio medalju, brončanu, veliku. Svoj je san dosanjao, sav trud koji je uložio u sport mu se vratio s ovom broncom. Još jednom velikom medaljom u nizu.

Sportski put mu je započeo sa sedmom godinom, u dvorani na splitskim Plokitama, gdje je tada doselio, krenuo je zajedno sa sestrom. Tri godine kasnije treneri su ga izdvojili u novu dvoranu na Blatinama, u grupu boljih boraca gdje je upoznao godinu dana mlađeg Lovru Brečića koji mu je postao najbolji prijatelj.

- Uzor su mi bile Ana i Lucija Zaninović koje u klubu bile od osnutka 2000. godine i uvijek su osvajale medalje. Došao sam dvije godine nakon njih. Sjećam se kad sam ih kao mali dočekivao na aerodromu kad bi se vračale s velikih natjecanja. To mi je uvijek bilo baš lijepo.

Posljednjih godina baš je Toni zajedno s Lovrom Brečićom iskočio u prvi plan nekako je sve navikao na osvajanje medalje, bilo na europskim i svjetskim prvenstvima, bilo na Grand Slam kupovima i turnirima najviše klase. Izrastao je u - velikog sportaša. Nekada je gledao svoje uzore, danas je on – taj. Uzor mladima.

- Kad osvojim medalju obuzme me neopisiv osjećaj koji me gura naprijed. Kao ovisnost je. Ne znam kako ću izdržati kada dođe vrijeme da se moram prestati baviti taekwondoom.

Jedno je sigurno, jednog dana kada okonča svoju sportsku karijeru, moći će kao kineziolog nastaviti u sportu. No svoje je mjesto u povijesti hrvatskog i splitskog sporta ispisao, zauzeo na Partenonu slave. Zasluženo rekosmo. Radom.

Toni Kanaet ostvario svoj životni san i ispunio obećanje: Osvojit ću medalju! Ali neću reći koju da ne čuje i da joj ne stvorim presing

Bilo je to prije dvije godine, na povratku s Grand slama u Kini. I tada je kazao, za neke i hrabro, no on dobro zna zbog čega:

- Osvojit ću medalju! Ali neću reći koju da ne čuje i da joj ne stvorim presing.

Toni Kanaet, tom mladiću se sav pošteni trud i rad na tatamiju isplatio, vratio mu je sve ono što je posljednje desetljeće ulagao u sebe. Olimpijske igre je izborio je kineskom Wuxiju. Tada je prvi put imao sreće koja mu je vratila za sve sate proveden na treninzima.

Na svjetskoj listi bio je šesti, prvi „ispod crte“. Međutim, direktan plasman na OI ostvario je i borac koji je tri godine u nizu osvojio Grand Slam, a to je po treći put napravio Rus Maksim Hramcov. Upravo je on „povukao“ Toni na Igre u Tokio.

Bila je to 2019. godina, možda i najteža u Tonijevoj...
