Splitska se vlast suočila s kojekakvim kosturima iz ormara. Pokušavaju raspetljati klupko koje su njihovi prethodnici zapetljali s korisnicima gradskih stanova i poslovnih prostora. I rade to - dobro! Češlja se ugovor po ugovor, stavka po stavka. Protiv uzurpatora gradske imovine trebalo bi ustati i kaznenim prijavama i tražiti naknadu štete. Konačno netko brine o gradskim nekretninama na pravi način, poštujući zakone i propise, i ne osvrćući se na cmizdrenje onih koji su do krova nad glavom došli stranputicom, da ne napišem - korupcijom.

Zgrtanje milijuna

I dok javnost opravdano aplaudira hrabroj Maji Đerek na dosljednosti u istjerivanju pravde, paralelno se otvara još jedna za Split i Splićane bitna tema: tko bi i za koje namjene trebao koristiti gradske prostore u povijesnoj jezgri? Desetljećima pišem da to svakako ne bi smjele biti političke stranke. Za njih ima mjesta i izvan prvog i drugog "ringa", negdje iznad Dubrovačke ulice; tim više jer ne možete taj dio Splita pretvoriti samo u spavaonicu, a to zbog nedostatka društvenih sadržaja i jest: goli beton i asfalt, garniran tu i tamo kojim parkićem, igralištem i kvartovskim kafićima.

Treba li iz centra Splita zbog udruge koja je pod krinkom hrvatsko-izraelskog prijateljstva iznajmljivala prostorije turistima i zgrnula milijune, izgnati sve slične nevladine organizacije? Nisam siguran. Tko bi onda ostao u gradu? Samo furešti koji se dive starinama.

Činjenica je da javni sadržaji Splićane vuku u centar. I to je dobro; jer onda Get, Riva ili Zapadna obala žive i izvan sezone, makar su dobrano ispražnjene od ljudi koji su prodali stanove i odselili se na periferiju. Ako se već ide na Zapadnu ili Trg Franje Tuđmana zbog posla, lijepo bi bilo da se može negdje i sjesti, popiti ili pojesti, proćakulati. Je li tako?

Isto vrijedi i za carsku palaču iz koje se rodio grad: ne možete je posve "očistiti" od caffe barova i restorana jer ćete euatanizirati Split. Ukrasti mu dušu. Split bez šušura, grad spomenik ili grad duhova kojim neće odzvanjati smijeh, pjesma ili taj toliki diskreditirani topot kotačića kufera koji vuku gosti, ama baš nikoga neće zanimati.

Korak naprijed, dva natrag

Shvatili ste o čemu "drvim"; mjera je u pitanju. Mje-ra! Grad u kojem će se divljati do sitnih sati ili Split bez šušura, bez zvukova ljeta, dođe vam na isto.

Zato valja promisliti dobro o svakoj javnoj površini, njezinoj namjeni i načinu održavanja. Niti se treba sve komercijalizirati, niti bi bilo dobro iz srca Splita tjerati ugostitelje, iznajmljivače, trgovce... Tako ćemo otići u drugu krajnost.

Znači; krasno je vidjeti Hrvojevu bez čardaka i konačno osjetiti grandioznost Dioklecijanovih zidina, a tužno prošetati od Zente do Duilova i gledati stotine kupača, naših i stranaca, da se nemaju gdje ni od sunca zakloniti. Prvo smo imali vašar na Žnjanu, što je baš svima išlo na živce, pa se umjesto toga instaliralo module koji su bili kudikamo bolje rješenje, da bi ovog ljeta, umjesto korak naprijed, napravili dva natrag. Sada svjedočimo pustopoljini uz more nad kojom automobili vitlaju prašinu sa zapuštenog platoa.

Mediteran živi na trgovima i ulicama

Gradski oci, plješće vam se zbog uvođenja komunalnog reda, što i zaslužujete (!), no zapamtite: Split ne smije opustjeti. Mediteran živi na trgovima i ulicama, raduje se suncu i nebu; nemojte ljudima uskratiti gušte štekata, šentade, posjeći ponudu, a time i potražnju, jer bi to u konačnici moglo gradsku blagajnu ostaviti bez prihoda.

Udari, brate, po džepu sve koji krše komunalni red, preispitaj pravni status korisnika gradske imovine, bacaj ih van ako treba, ali ponovno traži poštenijeg najmoprimca. Stari Split bez ljudi i sadržaja nikoga ne zanima, a upravo je Palača rodila grad.

Ulice grada prepune gradjana i turista koji uzivaju u lijepom vremenu i veseloj atmosferi uoci Sudamje, blagdana svetog Duje.

Splitska se vlast suočila s kojekakvim kosturima iz ormara. Pokušavaju raspetljati klupko koje su njihovi prethodnici zapetljali s korisnicima gradskih stanova i poslovnih prostora. I rade to - dobro! Češlja se ugovor po ugovor, stavka po stavka. Protiv uzurpatora gradske imovine trebalo bi ustati i kaznenim prijavama i tražiti naknadu štete. Konačno netko brine o gradskim nekretninama na pravi način, poštujući zakone i propise, i ne osvrćući se na cmizdrenje onih koji su do krova nad glavom došli stranputicom, da ne napišem - korupcijom.

Zgrtanje milijuna

I dok javnost opravdano aplaudira hrabroj Maji Đerek na dosljednosti u istjerivanju pravde, paralelno se otvara još jedna za Split i Splićane bitna tema: tko bi i za koje namjene trebao koristiti gradske prostore u povijesnoj jezgri? Desetljećima pišem da to svakako ne bi smjele biti političke stranke. Za njih ima mjesta i izvan prvog i drugog "ringa", negdje iznad Dubrovačke ulice; tim više jer ne možete taj dio Splita pretvoriti samo u spavaonicu, a to zbog nedostatka društvenih sadržaja i jest: goli beton i asfalt, garniran tu i tamo kojim parkićem, igralištem i kvartovskim kafićima.

Treba li iz centra Splita zbog udruge koja je pod krinkom hrvatsko-izraelskog prijateljstva iznajmljivala prostorije turistima i zgrnula milijune, izgnati sve slične nevladine organizacije? Nisam siguran. Tko bi onda ostao u gradu? Samo furešti koji se dive starinama.

Činjenica je da javni sadržaji Splićane vuku u centar. I to je dobro; jer onda Get, Riva ili Zapadna obala žive i izvan sezone, makar su dobrano ispražnjene od ljudi koji su prodali stanove i odselili se na periferiju. Ako se već ide na Zapadnu ili Trg Franje Tuđmana zbog posla, lijepo bi bilo da se može negdje i sjesti, popiti ili pojesti, proćakulati. Je li tako?

Isto vrijedi i za carsku palaču iz koje se rodio grad: ne možete je posve "očistiti" od caffe barova i restorana jer ćete euatanizirati Split. Ukrasti mu dušu. Split bez šušura, grad spomenik ili grad duhova kojim neće odzvanjati smijeh, pjesma ili taj toliki diskreditirani topot kotačića kufera koji vuku gosti, ama baš nikoga neće zanimati.

Korak naprijed, dva natrag

Shvatili ste o čemu "drvim"; mjera je u pitanju. Mje-ra! Grad u kojem će se divljati do sitnih sati ili Split bez šušura, bez zvukova ljeta, dođe vam na isto.

Zato valja promisliti dobro o svakoj javnoj površini, njezinoj namjeni i načinu održavanja. Niti se treba sve komercijalizirati, niti bi bilo dobro iz srca Splita tjerati ugostitelje, iznajmljivače, trgovce... Tako ćemo otići u drugu krajnost.

Znači; krasno je vidjeti Hrvojevu bez čardaka i konačno osjetiti grandioznost Dioklecijanovih zidina, a tužno prošetati od Zente do Duilova i gledati stotine kupača, naših i stranaca, da se nemaju gdje ni od sunca zakloniti. Prvo smo imali vašar na Žnjanu, što je baš svima išlo na živce, pa se umjesto toga instaliralo module koji su bili kudikamo bolje rješenje, da bi ovog ljeta, umjesto korak naprijed, napravili dva natrag. Sada svjedočimo pustopoljini uz more nad kojom automobili vitlaju prašinu sa zapuštenog platoa.

Mediteran živi na trgovima i ulicama

Gradski oci, plješće vam se zbog uvođenja komunalnog reda, što i zaslužujete (!), no zapamtite: Split ne smije opustjeti. Mediteran živi na trgovima i ulicama, raduje se suncu i nebu; nemojte ljudima uskratiti gušte štekata, šentade, posjeći ponudu, a time i potražnju, jer bi to u konačnici moglo gradsku blagajnu ostaviti bez prihoda.

Udari, brate, po džepu sve koji krše komunalni red, preispitaj pravni status korisnika gradske imovine, bacaj ih van ako treba, ali ponovno traži poštenijeg najmoprimca. Stari Split bez ljudi i sadržaja nikoga ne zanima, a upravo je Palača rodila grad.
