Prije točno 70 godina na Mosoru je postavljeno danas poznato planinarsko sklonište - Vickov stup, na 1325 metara nadmorske visine. Iako je najviši vrh Mosora Veliki Kabal na 1339 metara, Vickov stup postao je prepoznatljivi simbol Mosora.

O njemu brine Planinarski klub Split, na čijoj skupštini je davne 1951. godine odlučeno o gradnji skloništa inspiriranim Aljaževim stupom na Triglavu.

Posao oko izdrade Vickovog stupa povjeren je vrijednim splitskim škveranima koji su od čelika izradili desetorokutnu konstrukciju visine 3 metra, koja je na koncu, velikim trudom i radom dovučena i postavljena na 1325 metara visok mosorski vrh te učvršćena metalnim sajlama. Za podizanje ovog simbola Mosora, zaslužni su članovi tadašnje planinarske sekcije Arsenal koja je djelovala u okviru Radničkog sportskog društva Brodosplita.

Sklonište je nazvano po Vicku Krstuloviću, političaru i borcu protiv fašizma u Drugom svjetskom ratu.

Iako nije na najvišem vrhu, s njega puca nezaboravan pogled na sve strane, a u njemu se i predahnuti na klupicama, te upisati u upisnu knjigu i udariti pečat u planinarski dnevnik.

Prije točno 70 godina na Mosoru je postavljeno danas poznato planinarsko sklonište - Vickov stup, na 1325 metara nadmorske visine. Iako je najviši vrh Mosora Veliki Kabal na 1339 metara, Vickov stup postao je prepoznatljivi simbol Mosora.

O njemu brine Planinarski klub Split, na čijoj skupštini je davne 1951. godine odlučeno o gradnji skloništa inspiriranim Aljaževim stupom na Triglavu.

Posao oko izdrade Vickovog stupa povjeren je vrijednim splitskim škveranima koji su od čelika izradili desetorokutnu konstrukciju visine 3 metra, koja je na koncu, velikim trudom i radom dovučena i postavljena na 1325 metara visok mosorski vrh te učvršćena metalnim sajlama. Za podizanje ovog simbola Mosora, zaslužni su članovi tadašnje planinarske sekcije Arsenal koja je djelovala u okviru Radničkog sportskog društva Brodosplita.

Sklonište je nazvano po Vicku Krstuloviću, političaru i borcu protiv fašizma u Drugom svjetskom ratu.

Iako nije na najvišem vrhu, s njega puca nezaboravan pogled na sve strane, a u njemu se i predahnuti na klupicama, te upisati u upisnu knjigu i udariti pečat u planinarski dnevnik.

Prije točno 70 godina na Mosoru je postavljeno danas poznato planinarsko sklonište - Vickov stup, na 1325 metara nadmorske visine. Iako je najviši vrh Mosora Veliki Kabal na 1339 metara, Vickov stup postao je prepoznatljivi simbol Mosora.

O njemu brine Planinarski klub Split, na čijoj skupštini je davne 1951. godine odlučeno o gradnji skloništa inspiriranim Aljaževim stupom na Triglavu.

Posao oko izdrade Vickovog stupa povjeren je vrijednim splitskim škveranima koji su od čelika izradili desetorokutnu konstrukciju visine 3 metra, koja je na koncu, velikim trudom i radom dovučena i postavljena na 1325 metara visok mosorski vrh te učvršćena metalnim sajlama.
