Radovi na istraživanju sjeverozapadnog ruba prostora tvrđave Gripe, najbolje sačuvanog dijela velikog sustava mletačke obrane Splita, pokazali su rezultate.

Ekipa iz tvrtke “Kaukal”, koja na toj lokaciji uz Ulicu glagoljaša provodi arheološka istraživanja, naišla je na očekivano - ostatke nedovršenog bastiona tvrđave koji su u solidnom stanju.

- Krenuli smo u istraživanje s pretpostavkom da se tu nalaze ostaci bastiona. Predstoje nam daljnja istraživanja, ali trenutno čekamo upute Ministarstva kulture oko budućih koraka. Svakako, ostaci izgledaju impozantno iako su na nekim dijelovima prekinuti tijekom starih intervencija.

Čak su i neke cijevi tu provučene, a vrijeme će pokazati kako sve to izgleda. U konačnici, resorno ministarstvo će odlučiti što će s tim ostacima, no, mišljenja smo da bi ih bilo lijepo prezentirati javnosti - kazuje nam Vedran Katavić, arheolog iz “Kaukala”.

Barokna utvrda Gripe građena je od 1656. do 1660. godine kako bi pred turskom opasnošću obranila Split, koji tada još nije bio utvrđen suvremenim zidinama od kojih su do danas u većoj ili manjoj mjeri sačuvani dijelovi bastiona Priuli, Cornaro i Contarini, triju od nekadašnjih pet obrambenih točaka koje su dobile imena po mletačkim inženjerima koji su ih projektirali.

Tvrđava je podignuta na brežuljku istočno od tadašnjega grada s kojega se mogao nadzirati gotovo cijeli Split i njegova okolica. Prema riječima stručnjaka, to je primjer izdvojene utvrde zvjezdolikoga tlocrta s četiri višekutna bastiona od kojih je ovaj sjeverozapadni ostao nedovršen, što je vidljivo i iz povijesnih karata.

Prema aktualnim podacima iz zemljišnika, vlasnica polovice zemljišta na kojem se provode istraživanja je tvrtka “Cacao” iza koje stoji Katarina Kraljević, suinvestitorica i suvlasnica velike vile na Lučcu, na razmeđu ulica Kneza Mislava i Rokove, čija je izgradnja prije četiri godine izazvala otvoreno nezadovoljstvo dijela susjeda, ali i struke koja je kritizirala “ubacivanje” toliko velike suvremene forme u još uvijek pretežito okruženje kamenih kuća nekadašnjeg težačkog kvarta.

Druga polovina parcele, ukupne površine 1050 kvadrata, još uvijek se vodi u “pretpotopnom” statusu općenarodne imovine, i to s pravom upravljanja koje glasi na Gradski narodni odbor, pravnog prethodnika kasnije općine, a današnjega Grada Splita.

Teren se prema odredbama važećega Generalnog urbanističkog plana nalazi u zoni isključive stambene namjene, pri čemu u vlasničkom listu do sada nema nikakve zabilježbe ni da je riječ o kulturnom dobru, pa bi desetljećima “mirna” i neiskorištena parcela pod borovima Gripa mogla dobiti vrlo atraktivnu (investicijsku) dimenziju.

Radovi na istraživanju sjeverozapadnog ruba prostora tvrđave Gripe, najbolje sačuvanog dijela velikog sustava mletačke obrane Splita, pokazali su rezultate.

Ekipa iz tvrtke “Kaukal”, koja na toj lokaciji uz Ulicu glagoljaša provodi arheološka istraživanja, naišla je na očekivano - ostatke nedovršenog bastiona tvrđave koji su u solidnom stanju.

- Krenuli smo u istraživanje s pretpostavkom da se tu nalaze ostaci bastiona. Predstoje nam daljnja istraživanja, ali trenutno čekamo upute Ministarstva kulture oko budućih koraka. Svakako, ostaci izgledaju impozantno iako su na nekim dijelovima prekinuti tijekom starih intervencija.

Čak su i neke cijevi tu provučene, a vrijeme će pokazati kako sve to izgleda. U konačnici, resorno ministarstvo će odlučiti što će s tim ostacima, no, mišljenja smo da bi ih bilo lijepo prezentirati javnosti - kazuje nam Vedran Katavić, arheolog iz “Kaukala”.

Barokna utvrda Gripe građena je od 1656. do 1660. godine kako bi pred turskom opasnošću obranila Split, koji tada još nije bio utvrđen suvremenim zidinama od kojih su do danas u većoj ili manjoj mjeri sačuvani dijelovi bastiona Priuli, Cornaro i Contarini, triju od nekadašnjih pet obrambenih točaka koje su dobile imena po mletačkim inženjerima koji su ih projektirali.

Tvrđava je podignuta na brežuljku istočno od tadašnjega grada s kojega se mogao nadzirati gotovo cijeli Split i njegova okolica. Prema riječima stručnjaka, to je primjer izdvojene utvrde zvjezdolikoga tlocrta s četiri višekutna bastiona od kojih je ovaj sjeverozapadni ostao nedovršen, što je vidljivo i iz povijesnih karata.

Prema aktualnim podacima iz zemljišnika, vlasnica polovice zemljišta na kojem se provode istraživanja je tvrtka “Cacao” iza koje stoji Katarina Kraljević, suinvestitorica i suvlasnica velike vile na Lučcu, na razmeđu ulica Kneza Mislava i Rokove, čija je izgradnja prije četiri godine izazvala otvoreno nezadovoljstvo dijela susjeda, ali i struke koja je kritizirala “ubacivanje” toliko velike suvremene forme u još uvijek pretežito okruženje kamenih kuća nekadašnjeg težačkog kvarta.

Druga polovina parcele, ukupne površine 1050 kvadrata, još uvijek se vodi u “pretpotopnom” statusu općenarodne imovine, i to s pravom upravljanja koje glasi na Gradski narodni odbor, pravnog prethodnika kasnije općine, a današnjega Grada Splita.

Teren se prema odredbama važećega Generalnog urbanističkog plana nalazi u zoni isključive stambene namjene, pri čemu u vlasničkom listu do sada nema nikakve zabilježbe ni da je riječ o kulturnom dobru, pa bi desetljećima “mirna” i neiskorištena parcela pod borovima Gripa mogla dobiti vrlo atraktivnu (investicijsku) dimenziju.

Radovi na istraživanju sjeverozapadnog ruba prostora tvrđave Gripe, najbolje sačuvanog dijela velikog sustava mletačke obrane Splita, pokazali su rezultate.

Ekipa iz tvrtke “Kaukal”, koja na toj lokaciji uz Ulicu glagoljaša provodi arheološka istraživanja, naišla je na očekivano - ostatke nedovršenog bastiona tvrđave koji su u solidnom stanju.

- Krenuli smo u istraživanje s pretpostavkom da se tu nalaze ostaci bastiona. Predstoje nam daljnja istraživanja, ali trenutno čekamo upute Ministarstva kulture oko budućih koraka. Svakako, ostaci izgledaju impozantno iako su na nekim dijelovima prekinuti tijekom starih intervencija.

Čak su i neke cijevi tu provučene, a vrijeme će pokazati kako sve to izgleda. U konačnici, resorno ministarstvo će odlučiti što će s tim ostacima, no,...
