Svjesni kako Karepovac nije Marjan (premda bi jednog dana i mogao biti) stanari koji žive u okolici odlagališta su naviknuli na miris koji baš i nije ugodan. Sanacijom starog dijela odlagališta taj se smrad smanjio. No, zadnjih par tjedana opet "vonja".
- Opet smrdi do te mjere da su ljudi sa područja Kile i Vrborana ozbiljno zabrinuti i zovu stalno - kazao nam je Toni Piplica, predsjednik Gradskog kotara Mejaši.
- Zanima nas jesu li vrijednosti koncentracije plinova u skladu s uredbom o razinama onečišćujućih tvari u zraku, kao i jesu li štetne po zdravlje stanovnika? Pretpostavljam da je riječ o trećoj fazi sanacije Karepovca. Koliko nas sve skupa to veseli, toliko smo zabrinuti za zdravlje i potencijalne dugoročne posljedice stanovnika u neposrednoj blizini - veli Piplica.
Mirisi dodijavaju
A najviše o problemima vezanih uz kvalitetu zraka zna mr.sc. Nenad Periš, voditelj Odjela za ispitivanje zraka, tla i buke splitskog Nastavnog zavoda za javno zdravstvo, pa smo i njega pitali što se na Karepovcu zbiva.
- Na mjernoj stanici na Karepovcu nisu zabilježena odstupanja od zadanih parametara. Ljudi moraju znati kako su amonijak, merkaptani i H2S plinovi koji nisu toksični, ali dodijavaju mirisom - kazao nam je Periš.

U sklopu mjerenja kvalitete zraka na spomenutoj postaji Karepovac u proteklom tjednu nisu zabilježena prekoračenja dnevnih graničnih vrijednosti izmjerenih plinova (SO2, NOx, H2S i NH3). Satne izmjerene vrijednosti u usporedbi sa zadanim propisanim parametrima (brojčanih nivoa i broja prekoračenja) kreću se također u dopuštenim područjima.
- Stanje kvalitete zraka prema izmjerenih parametrima možemo ocjeniti kao uobičajeno za ovaj dio godine, za ljeto - veli nam Periš.
Stanje je redovito
Karepovac je saniran u dijelu gdje se nalazi "stari otpad", a sada na sanitarnoj plohi, koja je po svim pravilima struke - pripremljena za prihvat novih količina otpada - sve što se odlaže biva trenutno zatrpano zemljom. I to upravo zbog ljeta - većom količinom.

Razgovarali smo i sa direktorom "Čistoće" Lukšom Regjom, kojeg smo zatekli upravo tijekom obilaska odlagališta.
- Stanje je redovito - veli nam direktor.
Napominje kako sva mjerenja u trenutku ljudi mogu kontinuirano i izravno pratiti na web stranici www.cistoca-split.hr.
- Ukoliko dođe do prekoračenja graničnih vrijednosti, a sukladno pravnoj regulativi, postupat će se odmah i obavijestiti nadležne, naime Zavod za javno zdravstvo je dužan kontinuirano prikazivati podatke u realnom vremenu - rekao nam je Regjo.
Činjenica jest kako "spasa" od smrada neće ni biti sve dok se ne dovrši Centar za zbrinjavanje otpada u Lećevici kojeg već godinama, pardon, desetljećima sanjamo, ali nikako i da dosanjamo...

Svjesni kako Karepovac nije Marjan (premda bi jednog dana i mogao biti) stanari koji žive u okolici odlagališta su naviknuli na miris koji baš i nije ugodan. Sanacijom starog dijela odlagališta taj se smrad smanjio. No, zadnjih par tjedana opet "vonja".
- Opet smrdi do te mjere da su ljudi sa područja Kile i Vrborana ozbiljno zabrinuti i zovu stalno - kazao nam je Toni Piplica, predsjednik Gradskog kotara Mejaši.
- Zanima nas jesu li vrijednosti koncentracije plinova u skladu s uredbom o razinama onečišćujućih tvari u zraku, kao i jesu li štetne po zdravlje stanovnika? Pretpostavljam da je riječ o trećoj fazi sanacije Karepovca. Koliko nas sve skupa to veseli, toliko smo zabrinuti za zdravlje i potencijalne dugoročne posljedice stanovnika u neposrednoj blizini - veli Piplica.
Mirisi dodijavaju
A najviše o problemima vezanih uz kvalitetu zraka zna mr.sc. Nenad Periš, voditelj Odjela za ispitivanje zraka, tla i buke splitskog Nastavnog zavoda za javno zdravstvo, pa smo i njega pitali što se na Karepovcu zbiva.
- Na mjernoj stanici na Karepovcu nisu zabilježena odstupanja od zadanih parametara. Ljudi moraju znati kako su amonijak, merkaptani i H2S plinovi koji nisu toksični, ali dodijavaju mirisom - kazao nam je Periš.

U sklopu mjerenja kvalitete zraka na spomenutoj postaji Karepovac u proteklom tjednu nisu zabilježena prekoračenja dnevnih graničnih vrijednosti izmjerenih plinova (SO2, NOx, H2S i NH3). Satne izmjerene vrijednosti u usporedbi sa zadanim propisanim parametrima (brojčanih nivoa i broja prekoračenja) kreću se također u dopuštenim područjima.
- Stanje kvalitete zraka prema izmjerenih parametrima možemo ocjeniti kao uobičajeno za ovaj dio godine, za ljeto - veli nam Periš.

Karepovac je saniran u dijelu gdje se nalazi "stari otpad", a sada na sanitarnoj plohi, koja je po svim pravilima struke - pripremljena za prihvat novih količina otpada - sve što se odlaže biva trenutno zatrpano zemljom. I to upravo zbog ljeta - većom količinom.

Razgovarali smo i sa direktorom "Čistoće" Lukšom Regjom, kojeg smo zatekli upravo tijekom obilaska odlagališta.
- Stanje je redovito - veli nam direktor.
Napominje kako sva mjerenja u trenutku ljudi mogu kontinuirano i izravno pratiti na web stranici www.cistoca-split.hr.
- Ukoliko dođe do prekoračenja graničnih vrijednosti, a sukladno pravnoj regulativi, postupat će se odmah i obavijestiti nadležne, naime Zavod za javno zdravstvo je dužan kontinuirano prikazivati podatke u realnom vremenu - rekao nam je Regjo.
Činjenica jest kako "spasa" od smrada neće ni biti sve dok se ne dovrši Centar za zbrinjavanje otpada u Lećevici kojeg već godinama, pardon, desetljećima sanjamo, ali nikako i da dosanjamo...
