Splitu definitivno treba još studentskih domova, jer iz godine u godinu ima znatno više prijavljenih studenata nego raspoloživih kreveta. Na ovogodišnji natječaj za smještaj u studentske domove u okviru splitskog Studentskog centra prijavilo se 1 830 studenata, a 1169 ostvarilo pravo na smještaj. Neki nisu ni aplicirali, znajući da nemaju šanse, nego su odmah tražili sreću u podstanarskom smještaju.
Odlična je stvar što su splitski domovi sada daleko komforniji, naročito netom rekonstruirani i dograđeni Bruno Bušić, koji je sada nalik visokokategoriziranom hotelu. Kako je rekonstrukcija Bruna Bušića financirana sredstvima Europske unije s više od polovicom ukupnih troškova, Studentski centar Split ima obvezu 70 posto kapaciteta tog doma dodijeliti studentima po socijalnom kriteriju.
No, nije bitno dobiti samo mjesto u domu, jako je važno i kakvo će to mjesto biti, odnosno hoće li to biti soba s klimatizacijskim uređajem i balkonom koji gleda na more ili soba bez klime i bez balkona.
Izbor soba i cimera se do sada obavljao klasičnim načinom, no sada studenti više ne moraju iz udaljenih mjesta osobno doći u dom radi rezervacije sobe. Odsad će to obaviti klikom zahvaljujući novoj web-aplikaciji scst.extensionengine.com.

- Prije izrade ove aplikacije sustav odabira nije postojao, već se vodilo onom narodnom “tko prvi, njegova djevojka”,što nije bilo pošteno. Sad prvi biraju oni studenti koji su svoje bodove ostvarili na temelju izvrsnosti. Izvrsnost se mjeri brojem bodova ostvarenih s obzirom na prosjek ocjena, broj položenih ECTS bodova, godinu studija, osvojene dekanove ili rektorove nagrade...
Najbolji biraju prvi, čime jasno dajemo do znanja da se izvrsnost cijeni i da je u akademskim krugovima treba poticati, a studenti ovim načinom odabira imaju dodatnu motivaciju da ostvare tu izvrsnost - ističe Ivan Žižić, ravnatelj Studentskog centra Split.
Jednostavno korištenje
Pandemija koronavirusa i smanjivanje nepotrebnih socijalnih kontakata još su dodatno naglasili potrebu za ovakvim digitalnim rješenjem. Korištenje aplikacije je jednostavno. Studenti pristupaju sustavu za rezervaciju soba unosom svoje e-mail adrese na koju se šalje pristupni link. Nakon pristupa studentu je prikazan dodijeljeni dom, tip sobe te vremenski period unutar kojeg može izvršiti rezervaciju.
Ono što je dodatni bonus u ovoj pozitivnoj priči jest da je ova web aplikacija poklon stručnjaka splitske IT tvrtke Extension Engine. U vrijeme globalne ekonomske krize za izradu same aplikacije potrošeno je 600 sati rada, što bi na lokalnom progamerskom tržištu vrijedilo oko 150.000 kuna.

Navodi kako su prije tri tjedna slučajno saznali za problem odabira soba u studentskim domovima zbog koronavirusa, a kako su sličan sustav napravili za Harvard Business School još 2014. godine, željeli su iskoristiti svoje znanje i pomoći studentima Splitskog sveučilišta.
- Rok je bio kratak, ali bitno da je aplikacija krenula s primjenom na vrijeme. I sami smo bili studenti i dobro poznajemo koliko je ušteda vremena bitna svakom studentu - kaže Roglić.

Splitu definitivno treba još studentskih domova, jer iz godine u godinu ima znatno više prijavljenih studenata nego raspoloživih kreveta. Na ovogodišnji natječaj za smještaj u studentske domove u okviru splitskog Studentskog centra prijavilo se 1 830 studenata, a 1169 ostvarilo pravo na smještaj. Neki nisu ni aplicirali, znajući da nemaju šanse, nego su odmah tražili sreću u podstanarskom smještaju.
Odlična je stvar što su splitski domovi sada daleko komforniji, naročito netom rekonstruirani i dograđeni Bruno Bušić, koji je sada nalik visokokategoriziranom hotelu. Kako je rekonstrukcija Bruna Bušića financirana sredstvima Europske unije s više od polovicom ukupnih troškova, Studentski centar Split ima obvezu 70 posto kapaciteta tog doma dodijeliti studentima po socijalnom kriteriju.
No, nije bitno dobiti samo mjesto u domu, jako je važno i kakvo će to mjesto biti, odnosno hoće li to biti soba s klimatizacijskim uređajem i balkonom koji gleda na more ili soba bez klime i bez balkona.
Izbor soba i cimera se do sada obavljao klasičnim načinom, no sada studenti više ne moraju iz udaljenih mjesta osobno doći u dom radi rezervacije sobe. Odsad će to obaviti klikom zahvaljujući novoj web-aplikaciji scst.extensionengine.com.

- Prije izrade ove aplikacije sustav odabira nije postojao, već se vodilo onom narodnom “tko prvi, njegova djevojka”,što nije bilo pošteno. Sad prvi biraju oni studenti koji su svoje bodove ostvarili na temelju izvrsnosti. Izvrsnost se mjeri brojem bodova ostvarenih s obzirom na prosjek ocjena, broj položenih ECTS bodova, godinu studija, osvojene dekanove ili rektorove nagrade...
Najbolji biraju prvi, čime jasno dajemo do znanja da se izvrsnost cijeni i da je u akademskim krugovima treba poticati, a studenti ovim načinom odabira imaju dodatnu motivaciju da ostvare tu izvrsnost - ističe Ivan Žižić, ravnatelj Studentskog centra Split.
Jednostavno korištenje
Pandemija koronavirusa i smanjivanje nepotrebnih socijalnih kontakata još su dodatno naglasili potrebu za ovakvim digitalnim rješenjem. Korištenje aplikacije je jednostavno. Studenti pristupaju sustavu za rezervaciju soba unosom svoje e-mail adrese na koju se šalje pristupni link. Nakon pristupa studentu je prikazan dodijeljeni dom, tip sobe te vremenski period unutar kojeg može izvršiti rezervaciju.
Ono što je dodatni bonus u ovoj pozitivnoj priči jest da je ova web aplikacija poklon stručnjaka splitske IT tvrtke Extension Engine. U vrijeme globalne ekonomske krize za izradu same aplikacije potrošeno je 600 sati rada, što bi na lokalnom progamerskom tržištu vrijedilo oko 150.000 kuna.

Navodi kako su prije tri tjedna slučajno saznali za problem odabira soba u studentskim domovima zbog koronavirusa, a kako su sličan sustav napravili za Harvard Business School još 2014. godine, željeli su iskoristiti svoje znanje i pomoći studentima Splitskog sveučilišta.
- Rok je bio kratak, ali bitno da je aplikacija krenula s primjenom na vrijeme. I sami smo bili studenti i dobro poznajemo koliko je ušteda vremena bitna svakom studentu - kaže Roglić.
