Glumac Matthew McConaughey, najpoznatiji po romantičnim komedijama, izjavio je da je jednu od njegovih najboljih uloga predvidio - prorok.
McConaughey je za Vanity Fair rekao da 2003. nije bio siguran treba li glumiti u filmu "Kako se riješiti frajera u 10 dana" - sve dok nije dobio "znak". "Sjećam se jedne noći, dok sam šetao Sunset Boulevardom, pitao sam se hoću li to učiniti ili ne", prisjeća se glumac.

U početku je mislio da je "studio možda unajmio tajanstvenog čovjeka" da utječe na njegovu odluku, ali je prihvatio savjet.
Premda su se mnogi gledatelji s njim susreli u kontekstu opuštajućih romantičnih komedija, McConaughey se u svojoj dugogodišnjoj karijeri istaknuo i kao ozbiljan glumac.
