Slučaj Le Pain Maudit ili “Ukleti kruh” nerazjašnjen još od 1951. godine, kada je stanovništvo sela Pont-Saint-Esprit u južnoj Francuskoj doživjelo teške halucinacije, masovno ludilo, zbog kojeg je petero ljudi umrlo, izgleda da je razjašnjen.
Tajnu je otkrio američki pisac H.P. Albarelli koji u svojoj novoj knjizi tvrdi da je za incident kriva CIA, koja je lokalni kruh “začinila” LSD-om. Dosad se smatralo da je za masovno ludilo kriva halucinogena plijesan kojom se zarazilo žito, ili da je kruh koji su konzumirali stanovnici tog sela bio otrovan organskom živom.
Albarelli sada tvrdi da je uzrok problema bio LSD, koji je u hranu i zrak ubacila Jedinica za posebne operacije (SOD) CIA-e, dok su znanstvenici koji su davali drukčija objašnjenja zapravo radili za švicarsku farmaceutsku kompaniju Sandoz, koja je CIA-i dostavljala LSD.
Do toga otkrića Albarelli je došao istražujući sumnjivo samoubojstvo Franka Olsona, koji je radio za SOD i koji je poginuo u padu sa 13. kata dvije godine nakon slučaja “Ukletog kruha”. U jednom dokumentu koji je došao u ruke Albarelliju spominje se razgovor agenta CIA-e i djelatnika “Sandoza” koji u vezi s ovim slučajem kažu kako “incident uopće nije izazvan halucinogenom plijesni”.
Isto su mu potvrdila još dva izvora prema kojima je slučaj “Ukleti kruh” bio dio programa kontrole misli koji su provodili CIA i američka vojska, a francuske seljake otrovalo se prskanjem LSD-a po zraku i kontaminiranjem lokalne hrane.
No, ključni dokaz prema Albarellijevim tvrdnjama je dokument Bijele kuće koji je upućen Rockefellerovom povjerenstvu, koji je od 1975. istraživalo propuste CIA-e i zloporabu moći, u kojem se također spominje incident u Pont-Saint-Espritu. Inače, Albarelli tvrdi da je CIA u okviru programa kontrole misli LSD-om, drogirala i oko 6.000 američkih vojnika.

Slučaj Le Pain Maudit ili “Ukleti kruh” nerazjašnjen još od 1951. godine, kada je stanovništvo sela Pont-Saint-Esprit u južnoj Francuskoj doživjelo teške halucinacije, masovno ludilo, zbog kojeg je petero ljudi umrlo, izgleda da je razjašnjen.
Tajnu je otkrio američki pisac H.P. Albarelli koji u svojoj novoj knjizi tvrdi da je za incident kriva CIA, koja je lokalni kruh “začinila” LSD-om. Dosad se smatralo da je za masovno ludilo kriva halucinogena plijesan kojom se zarazilo žito, ili da je kruh koji su konzumirali stanovnici tog sela bio otrovan organskom živom.
Albarelli sada tvrdi da je uzrok problema bio LSD, koji je u hranu i zrak ubacila Jedinica za posebne operacije (SOD) CIA-e, dok su znanstvenici koji su davali drukčija objašnjenja zapravo radili za švicarsku farmaceutsku kompaniju Sandoz, koja je CIA-i dostavljala LSD.
Do toga otkrića Albarelli je došao istražujući sumnjivo samoubojstvo Franka Olsona, koji je radio za SOD i koji je poginuo u padu sa 13. kata dvije godine nakon slučaja “Ukletog kruha”. U jednom dokumentu koji je došao u ruke Albarelliju spominje se razgovor agenta CIA-e i djelatnika “Sandoza” koji u vezi s ovim slučajem kažu kako “incident uopće nije izazvan halucinogenom plijesni”.
Isto su mu potvrdila još dva izvora prema kojima je slučaj “Ukleti kruh” bio dio programa kontrole misli koji su provodili CIA i američka vojska, a francuske seljake otrovalo se prskanjem LSD-a po zraku i kontaminiranjem lokalne hrane.
No, ključni dokaz prema Albarellijevim tvrdnjama je dokument Bijele kuće koji je upućen Rockefellerovom povjerenstvu, koji je od 1975. istraživalo propuste CIA-e i zloporabu moći, u kojem se također spominje incident u Pont-Saint-Espritu. Inače, Albarelli tvrdi da je CIA u okviru programa kontrole misli LSD-om, drogirala i oko 6.000 američkih vojnika.
