Slavni holivudski znak iznad Los Angelesa proći će "facelifting" uoči svoga 100. rođendana kada će golema slova dobiti novi sloj boje.
Znak od devet slova na brežuljku Mount Lee posljednji je put obojen prije deset godina, rok u kojem se uobičajeno obnavlja.
Trenutni postav slova zapravo je treći koji je tijekom godina podignut na Mount Lee. Prvi znak, na kojem je pisalo "Hollywoodland" postavljen je 1923., prema Trgovinskoj komori Hollywooda koja zajedno s gradom Los Angelesom i fondacijom Hollywood Sign Trust upravlja atrakcijom.
-Ljudi ne shvaćaju da, kad stojite na znaku, svako slovo je visoko 13.7 metara. No, slova se također nalaze oko 3 do 4.5 metara iznad zemlje, rekao je Jeff Zarrinnam, predsjednik Hollywood Sign Trusta.

-Neki od ovih momaka su 15 do 18 metara u zraku. Za posao će se biti potrebno 1510 litara boje i poseban premaz za zaštitu od hrđe, izjavio je.

Slavni holivudski znak iznad Los Angelesa proći će "facelifting" uoči svoga 100. rođendana kada će golema slova dobiti novi sloj boje.
Znak od devet slova na brežuljku Mount Lee posljednji je put obojen prije deset godina, rok u kojem se uobičajeno obnavlja.
Trenutni postav slova zapravo je treći koji je tijekom godina podignut na Mount Lee. Prvi znak, na kojem je pisalo "Hollywoodland" postavljen je 1923., prema Trgovinskoj komori Hollywooda koja zajedno s gradom Los Angelesom i fondacijom Hollywood Sign Trust upravlja atrakcijom.
-Ljudi ne shvaćaju da, kad stojite na znaku, svako slovo je visoko 13.7 metara. No, slova se također nalaze oko 3 do 4.5 metara iznad zemlje, rekao je Jeff Zarrinnam, predsjednik Hollywood Sign Trusta.

-Neki od ovih momaka su 15 do 18 metara u zraku. Za posao će se biti potrebno 1510 litara boje i poseban premaz za zaštitu od hrđe, izjavio je.

Slavni holivudski znak iznad Los Angelesa proći će "facelifting" uoči svoga 100. rođendana kada će golema slova dobiti novi sloj boje.
Znak od devet slova na brežuljku Mount Lee posljednji je put obojen prije deset godina, rok u kojem se uobičajeno obnavlja.
Trenutni postav slova zapravo je treći koji je tijekom godina podignut na Mount Lee. Prvi znak, na kojem je pisalo "Hollywoodland" postavljen je 1923., prema Trgovinskoj komori Hollywooda koja zajedno s gradom Los Angelesom i fondacijom Hollywood Sign Trust upravlja atrakcijom.
-Ljudi ne shvaćaju da, kad stojite na znaku, svako slovo je visoko 13.7 metara. No, slova se također nalaze oko 3 do 4.5 metara iznad zemlje, rekao je Jeff Zarrinnam, predsjednik Hollywood Sign Trusta.
