Kad parovi ulaze u brak, obično smatraju da će on trajati do kraja života. Nažalost, razvoda je sve više, točnije svaki treći brak u Hrvatskoj završi razvodom, a najviše brakova razvrgne se oko 15. godine zajedničkog života, prema podacima Državnog zavoda za statistiku, piše Živim.
Ako je vjerovati znanstvenicima, postoje četiri vrste ponašanja po kojima se može previdjeti hoće li par prekinuti, i to s više od 90 posto točnosti, prema istraživanju dr. Johna Gottmana, suosnivača Instituta Gottman za savjetovanje parova. No, imamo i dobre vijesti: ovi problemi se mogu riješiti.
Toksično kritiziranje
Ovo je prvi pokazatelj problema koje treba riješiti, navodi Kim Polinder, voditeljica podcasta "Engineering Love" i stručnjakinja za veze. Ona upozorava da prečesto ili nepravedno kritiziranje može izazvati probleme. Generalizacije poput "Nikad ne bacaš smeće" ne vode prema konstruktivnoj komunikaciji.
- Kada koristite riječ "nikad" i "uvijek" komentirate nečiji karakter umjesto da se fokusirate na problem o kojem želite razgovarati - objašnjava ona.
Defenzivnost
Polinder ističe da obrambeni stav bez pokazivanja bilo kakve odgovornosti za vlastite postupke, može izazvati brojne probleme u komunikaciji, a onda i u odnosu. Ona savjetuje da naučite preuzeti dio odgovornosti za ono na što se žali vaš partner.
- Volim spominjati "Test od jedan posto". Je li jedan posto od onoga na što se vaš partner žali istina? Ako je tako, preuzmite odgovornost za to. Parovi su toliko zaokupljeni branjenjem sebe da se empatija gubi u razgovoru - navodi.
Ignoriranje
Kažnjavanje šutnjom je metoda kojom se nekome doslovno može nanijeti bol, ali bez vidljivih masnica ili ozljeda. Možda vam se taj opis čini pretjeranim, ali istraživanja su pokazala da čin ignoriranja ili isključivanja nekoga kod te osobe aktivira isto područje mozga koje se aktivira kod fizičke boli. Mnogi parovi ovo čine.
- Kad je riječ o ignoriranju, oba partnera moraju shvatiti važnost smirivanja svađa i naučiti prepoznati kad je jednom partneru "previše". A ako napravite pauzu u komunikaciji, ona nikada ne bi trebala trajati dulje od jednog dana, a i tijekom tog razdoblja trebate provjeriti kako se druga strana osjeća - objasnila je.
Prezir
To je krajnje omalovažavanje koje se osjeća ili pokazuje. Znakovi prezira uključuju uzdisanje, kolutanje očima, ruganje partneru, upuštanje u grubi sarkazam ili pokazivanje sveukupne nesklonosti partneru ili stvarima koje on cijeni, kaže Polinder.
- Od svih znakova upozorenja, prezir je najopasniji pokazatelj i naziva se ubojicom veze. Ako se ne riješi, ovo će se ponašanje s vremenom razviti u ogorčenost - ističe ona.
Ona savjetuje da umjesto toga govorite o svojim osjećajima, a ne da ih komunicirate na pasivno-agresivne načine.
Donald Cole, trenutani klinički ravnatelja Instituta Gottman, kaže da se tri od četiri znaka upozorenja pojavljuju s vremena na vrijeme u većini veza, ali prezir je onaj koji najviše zabrinjava.
- Nije neobično da čak i zadovoljni parovi povremeno skliznu u kritiziranje i defenzivu. Uočeno je čak i povremeno ignoriranje. Prijezir se, međutim, primjećuje samo kod parova čije su veze bile na putu za propast - objašnjava.
Kako riješiti te probleme u komunikaciji?
Polinder kaže da je najbolji način za rješavanje bilo kojeg od ovih problema učiniti to direktno.
- Ako primijetite bilo koji ili sve od ovih stilova svađe u svojoj vezi, najbolji način da tome pristupite je da razgovarate o njima s partnerom. Ova ponašanja ukazuju na skrivene osjećaj koji ostaju neizraženi - savjetuje ona.
Cole se slaže da je izuzetno važno znati rješavati probleme čim se pojave.
- Nježan pristup je ključan kad netko iznosi problem svom partneru - navodi Cole.
Kako biste to učinili, on preporučuje model od tri koraka:
Izrazite svoje osjećaje - "Zabrinut sam"
Opišite situaciju - "Zbog načina na koji smo se svađali"
Izrazite svoju potrebu - "Moram pronaći način da naši razgovori budu bolji"
Osim suočavanja s izazovima, Polinder preporučuje proaktivno poticanje jače povezanosti s partnerom.
- Prva vještina koju možete njegovati kako biste poboljšali svoju vezu je naučiti suosjećati sa svojim partnerom. Istraživanja pokazuju da pojedinci neće napredovati u razgovoru dok ne osjete da druga strana razumije njihov stav - kaže Polinder.
I dok se osoba ne osjeća shvaćenom, dodaje, bit će manje sklona kompromisu ili prihvaćanju drugog stajališta.
- Ne morate se složiti s njihovim zaključcima, ali se morate složiti s emocionalnom boli koju proživljavaju. Empatija je postala izgubljena umjetnost među parovima, a ključna je za emocionalnu intimnost - navodi Polinder.
Ona preporučuju da svaki dan provedete 10 minuta, bez distrakcija, razgovarajući o tome kako se osjećate.
Cole smatra da je važno da parovi nauče tehnike upravljanja stresom da prestanu svaljivati pojedinačne frustracije jedno na drugo i da povećaju količinu vremena koje provode zajedno. Također ističe da javno iskazivanje ljubavi i nježnosti ima vrlo pozitivan učinak na emocionalnu povezanost parova.
- Uspješni parovi imaju tendenciju spontano govoriti i činiti stvari osmišljene kako bi se njihov partner osjećao voljeno i cijenjeno - zaključila Cole.

Kad parovi ulaze u brak, obično smatraju da će on trajati do kraja života. Nažalost, razvoda je sve više, točnije svaki treći brak u Hrvatskoj završi razvodom, a najviše brakova razvrgne se oko 15. godine zajedničkog života, prema podacima Državnog zavoda za statistiku, piše Živim.
Ako je vjerovati znanstvenicima, postoje četiri vrste ponašanja po kojima se može previdjeti hoće li par prekinuti, i to s više od 90 posto točnosti, prema istraživanju dr. Johna Gottmana, suosnivača Instituta Gottman za savjetovanje parova. No, imamo i dobre vijesti: ovi problemi se mogu riješiti.
Toksično kritiziranje
Ovo je prvi pokazatelj problema koje treba riješiti, navodi Kim Polinder, voditeljica podcasta "Engineering Love" i stručnjakinja za veze. Ona upozorava da prečesto ili nepravedno kritiziranje može izazvati probleme. Generalizacije poput "Nikad ne bacaš smeće" ne vode prema konstruktivnoj komunikaciji.
- Kada koristite riječ "nikad" i "uvijek" komentirate nečiji karakter umjesto da se fokusirate na problem o kojem želite razgovarati - objašnjava ona.
Defenzivnost
Polinder ističe da obrambeni stav bez pokazivanja bilo kakve odgovornosti za vlastite postupke, može izazvati brojne probleme u komunikaciji, a onda i u odnosu. Ona savjetuje da naučite preuzeti dio odgovornosti za ono na što se žali vaš partner.
- Volim spominjati "Test od jedan posto". Je li jedan posto od onoga na što se vaš partner žali istina? Ako je tako, preuzmite odgovornost za to. Parovi su toliko zaokupljeni branjenjem sebe da se empatija gubi u razgovoru - navodi.
Ignoriranje
Kažnjavanje šutnjom je metoda kojom se nekome doslovno može nanijeti bol, ali bez vidljivih masnica ili ozljeda. Možda vam se taj opis čini pretjeranim, ali istraživanja su pokazala da čin ignoriranja ili isključivanja nekoga kod te osobe aktivira isto područje mozga koje se aktivira kod fizičke boli. Mnogi parovi ovo čine.
- Kad je riječ o ignoriranju, oba partnera moraju shvatiti važnost smirivanja svađa i naučiti prepoznati kad je jednom partneru "previše". A ako napravite pauzu u komunikaciji, ona nikada ne bi trebala trajati dulje od jednog dana, a i tijekom tog razdoblja trebate provjeriti kako se druga strana osjeća - objasnila je.
Prezir
To je krajnje omalovažavanje koje se osjeća ili pokazuje. Znakovi prezira uključuju uzdisanje, kolutanje očima, ruganje partneru, upuštanje u grubi sarkazam ili pokazivanje sveukupne nesklonosti partneru ili stvarima koje on cijeni, kaže Polinder.
- Od svih znakova upozorenja, prezir je najopasniji pokazatelj i naziva se ubojicom veze. Ako se ne riješi, ovo će se ponašanje s vremenom razviti u ogorčenost - ističe ona.
Ona savjetuje da umjesto toga govorite o svojim osjećajima, a ne da ih komunicirate na pasivno-agresivne načine.
Donald Cole, trenutani klinički ravnatelja Instituta Gottman, kaže da se tri od četiri znaka upozorenja pojavljuju s vremena na vrijeme u većini veza, ali prezir je onaj koji najviše zabrinjava.
- Nije neobično da čak i zadovoljni parovi povremeno skliznu u kritiziranje i defenzivu. Uočeno je čak i povremeno ignoriranje. Prijezir se, međutim, primjećuje samo kod parova čije su veze bile na putu za propast - objašnjava.
Kako riješiti te probleme u komunikaciji?
Polinder kaže da je najbolji način za rješavanje bilo kojeg od ovih problema učiniti to direktno.
- Ako primijetite bilo koji ili sve od ovih stilova svađe u svojoj vezi, najbolji način da tome pristupite je da razgovarate o njima s partnerom. Ova ponašanja ukazuju na skrivene osjećaj koji ostaju neizraženi - savjetuje ona.
Cole se slaže da je izuzetno važno znati rješavati probleme čim se pojave.
- Nježan pristup je ključan kad netko iznosi problem svom partneru - navodi Cole.
Kako biste to učinili, on preporučuje model od tri koraka:
Izrazite svoje osjećaje - "Zabrinut sam"
Opišite situaciju - "Zbog načina na koji smo se svađali"
Izrazite svoju potrebu - "Moram pronaći način da naši razgovori budu bolji"
Osim suočavanja s izazovima, Polinder preporučuje proaktivno poticanje jače povezanosti s partnerom.
- Prva vještina koju možete njegovati kako biste poboljšali svoju vezu je naučiti suosjećati sa svojim partnerom. Istraživanja pokazuju da pojedinci neće napredovati u razgovoru dok ne osjete da druga strana razumije njihov stav - kaže Polinder.
I dok se osoba ne osjeća shvaćenom, dodaje, bit će manje sklona kompromisu ili prihvaćanju drugog stajališta.
- Ne morate se složiti s njihovim zaključcima, ali se morate složiti s emocionalnom boli koju proživljavaju. Empatija je postala izgubljena umjetnost među parovima, a ključna je za emocionalnu intimnost - navodi Polinder.
Ona preporučuju da svaki dan provedete 10 minuta, bez distrakcija, razgovarajući o tome kako se osjećate.
Cole smatra da je važno da parovi nauče tehnike upravljanja stresom da prestanu svaljivati pojedinačne frustracije jedno na drugo i da povećaju količinu vremena koje provode zajedno. Također ističe da javno iskazivanje ljubavi i nježnosti ima vrlo pozitivan učinak na emocionalnu povezanost parova.
- Uspješni parovi imaju tendenciju spontano govoriti i činiti stvari osmišljene kako bi se njihov partner osjećao voljeno i cijenjeno - zaključila Cole.
