Život piše čudne priče. Tako je jedna bivša Jugoslavenka, a danas Amerikanka, već tri desetljeća čuvala jednu omotnicu, nadajući se da će joj ona pomoći u potrazi za nepoznatom ženom koja joj je pomogla kada joj je to bilo najpotrebnije. Naime, kada je imala 12 godina, Ayda je sa svojom starijom sestrom Vanjom napustila državu u kojoj je buktio krvavi građanski rat, piše CNN.

Kada su Ayda i Vanja letjele iz Amsterdama za Twin Cities, sjedile su do dvije, pretpostavljaju, stanovnice Minnesote i s njima podijelile svoju životnu priču. Tada 17-godišnja Vanja im je prepričala da su najprije pobjegle u Mađarsku, gdje su ostale neko vrijeme, samo da bi se nakon toga zaputile u SAD. Mlađa sestra Ayda u to vrijeme nije znala engleski, ali je jednoj od suputnica pomogla oko pletenja, nakon čega ih je ova odlučila nagraditi. 

Starija Amerikanka je Jugoslavenkama dala kuvertu u kojoj se nalazila poruka: "Za djevojke iz Jugoslavije, žao mi je što je bombardiranje vaše zemlje uzrokovalo vašoj obitelji toliko problema. Nadam se da će vaš boravak u Americi biti siguran i sretan za vas. Dobro došle u Ameriku. Molim vas, neka vam ovo pomogne. Vaša prijateljica s aviona, Tracy."

Kada su sišle s aviona, otvorile su omotnicu i šokirale se onim što su vidjele. Naime, unutra se nalazilo više od 100 dolara i par zlatnih naušnica. Ayda kaže kako bi mnogi ovo mogli okarakterizirati kao 'ne veliku stvar', ali je njoj i njezinoj sestri to tada značilo sve na svijetu. Taj im je novac, kaže, pomogao da si mogu priuštiti hranu tokom cijelog ljeta.

Sestre su od prvog dana pokušale saznati tko je žena koja im je pomogla. Tijekom godina su zvale hotele, turističke tvrtke, pričale s novinarima i objavile fotografiju omotnice na Redditu. No, zasad njihova potraga nije dala rezultata.

"Sestra i ja smo se tada pogledale i zagrlile. Ta omotnica bila je sve što smo imale. Bilo je jednostavno nevjerojatno da je netko bio spreman potrošiti toliki novac na nas." Kaže kako joj je ta gesta puno značila jer kasnije u Americi nije naišla na ništa slično. Priznaje i da joj je često bilo teško zbog raznih predrasuda te je često nastojala sakriti da je izbjeglica. 

"Željela sam izbrisati svoj identitet kako bij se osjećala prihvaćeno, ali shvatila sam da se to nikada neće dogoditi. Ta omotnica bila mi je poput dijamanta u mraku. To je razlog zbog kojeg sam je zadržala i još uvijek tražim ženu koja mi ju je dala", priča.

I dalje je Aydina velika želja pronaći tu ženu, naročito jer je danas jako puno izbjeglica u svijetu, a njeno svjedočenje je dokaz kako bilo kakva lijepa gesta može pomoći i olakšati život tih unesrećenih ljudi. Iako, kaže, nakon toliko godina već pomalo gubi nadu da će nepoznatu ženu ikada naći. Tome unatoč, ne planira odustati i nada se kako će njezina priča kroz medije stvoriti efekt koji će je dovesti do nepoznate humanitarke. Osim, jasno, ako žena ne želi da je se pronađe.

Zbog toga su djevojke ovih dana ponovno objavile video uz nadu da će im netko pomoći.

Tako je jedna bivša Jugoslavenka, a danas Amerikanka, već tri desetljeća čuvala jednu omotnicu, nadajući se da će joj ona pomoći u potrazi za nepoznatom ženom koja joj je pomogla kada joj je to bilo najpotrebnije. Naime, kada je imala 12 godina, Ayda je sa svojom starijom sestrom Vanjom napustila državu u kojoj je buktio krvavi građanski rat, piše CNN.

Kada su Ayda i Vanja letjele iz Amsterdama za Twin Cities, sjedile su do dvije, pretpostavljaju, stanovnice Minnesote i s njima podijelile svoju životnu priču. Tada 17-godišnja Vanja im je prepričala da su najprije pobjegle u Mađarsku, gdje su ostale neko vrijeme, samo da bi se nakon toga zaputile u SAD. Mlađa sestra Ayda u to vrijeme nije znala engleski, ali je jednoj od suputnica pomogla oko pletenja, nakon čega ih je ova odlučila nagraditi. 

Starija Amerikanka je Jugoslavenkama dala kuvertu u kojoj se nalazila poruka: "Za djevojke iz Jugoslavije, žao mi je što je bombardiranje vaše zemlje uzrokovalo vašoj obitelji toliko problema. Nadam se da će vaš boravak u Americi biti siguran i sretan za vas. Dobro došle u Ameriku. Molim vas, neka vam ovo pomogne. Vaša prijateljica s aviona, Tracy."

Kada su sišle s aviona, otvorile su omotnicu i šokirale se onim što su vidjele. Naime, unutra se nalazilo više od 100 dolara i par zlatnih naušnica. Ayda kaže kako bi mnogi ovo mogli okarakterizirati kao 'ne veliku stvar', ali je njoj i njezinoj sestri to tada značilo sve na svijetu. Taj im je novac, kaže, pomogao da si mogu priuštiti hranu tokom cijelog ljeta.

Sestre su od prvog dana pokušale saznati tko je žena koja im je pomogla. Tijekom godina su zvale hotele, turističke tvrtke, pričale s novinarima i objavile fotografiju omotnice na Redditu. No, zasad njihova potraga nije dala rezultata.

"Sestra i ja smo se tada pogledale i zagrlile. Ta omotnica bila je sve što smo imale. Bilo je jednostavno nevjerojatno da je netko bio spreman potrošiti toliki novac na nas." Kaže kako joj je ta gesta puno značila jer kasnije u Americi nije naišla na ništa slično. Priznaje i da joj je često bilo teško zbog raznih predrasuda te je često nastojala sakriti da je izbjeglica. 

"Željela sam izbrisati svoj identitet kako bij se osjećala prihvaćeno, ali shvatila sam da se to nikada neće dogoditi. Ta omotnica bila mi je poput dijamanta u mraku. To je razlog zbog kojeg sam je zadržala i još uvijek tražim ženu koja mi ju je dala", priča.

I dalje je Aydina velika želja pronaći tu ženu, naročito jer je danas jako puno izbjeglica u svijetu, a njeno svjedočenje je dokaz kako bilo kakva lijepa gesta može pomoći i olakšati život tih unesrećenih ljudi. Iako, kaže, nakon toliko godina već pomalo gubi nadu da će nepoznatu ženu ikada naći. Tome unatoč, ne planira odustati i nada se kako će njezina priča kroz medije stvoriti efekt koji će je dovesti do nepoznate humanitarke. Osim, jasno, ako žena ne želi da je se pronađe.

Zbog toga su djevojke ovih dana ponovno objavile video uz nadu da će im netko pomoći.
