Više od polovice danas postojećih vinograda u svijetu moglo bi nestati ako se Zemlja zagrije za 2 stupnja Celzijeva, a što je cilj zacrtan Pariškim sporazumom, no ako se zagrije za 4 stupnja, nestat će 85 posto, stoji u  znanstvenoj studiji.

Američki i francuski znanstvenici s Nacionalnog instituta za istraživanje u poljoprivredi, proizvodnji  hrane i okolišu svoju su studiju objavili u utorak u američkom časopisu PNAS.

Razvili su model za 11 najpoznatijih sorta u svijetu i te su podatke kombinirali s projekcijama globalnog zatopljenja.

Njihova je studija pokazala da 56 posto današnjih vinorodnih područja ne bi bilo podobno za uzgoj vinove loze u slučaju globalnog zatopljenja za 2 stupnja Celzijeva, odnosno nestalo bi 85 posto vinograda ako se Zemlja zagrije za 4 stupnja.

Ovaj drugi scenarij znanstvenici sve više smatraju izglednijim.

Zauzvrat, druga bi područja postala povoljna za proizvodnju vina.

Najveći gubitnici bile bi pokrajine koje već imaju toplu klimu, mediteranske zemlje poput Italije ili Španjolske koje bi izgubile 65 posto svojih vinograda.

S druge strane, vinorodna područja na višim nadmorskim visinama, primjerice na Novom Zelandu ili na sjeveru Sjedinjenih Država, dobila bi nova područja za uzgoj vinove loze, od 15 do 100 posto, ovisno o sortama.

Države s umjerenom klimom, kao što su Francuska ili Njemačka, izgubile bi i dobile u jednakom omjeru, oko 20 posto. 
Znanstvenici ističu da bi se gubici mogli nadoknaditi promjenama u uzgoju sorti grožđa i u tom slučaju gubici bi se mogli smanjiti s 56 na 24 posto u slučaju podizanja temperature za 2 posto.

U slučaju da se Zemlja zagrije za 4 stupnja, gubici bi se prelaskom na uzgoj drugih sorta mogli ublažiti s 85 na 58 posto.
Kasne sorte i one koje bolje podnose vrućinu kao što su shiraz, grenaš (grenache) i  mourvedre (mataro) mogle bi se više razvijati u sadašnjim vinorodnim područjima, a današnje rane sorte kao što su crni pinot ili chardonnay mogle bi se proširiti u novim regijama.

Takve bi promjene donijele složene izazove, ali oni nisu nepremostivi, navode autori studije.

Više od polovice danas postojećih vinograda u svijetu moglo bi nestati ako se Zemlja zagrije za 2 stupnja Celzijeva, a što je cilj zacrtan Pariškim sporazumom, no ako se zagrije za 4 stupnja, nestat će 85 posto, stoji u  znanstvenoj studiji.

Američki i francuski znanstvenici s Nacionalnog instituta za istraživanje u poljoprivredi, proizvodnji  hrane i okolišu svoju su studiju objavili u utorak u američkom časopisu PNAS.

Razvili su model za 11 najpoznatijih sorta u svijetu i te su podatke kombinirali s projekcijama globalnog zatopljenja.

Njihova je studija pokazala da 56 posto današnjih vinorodnih područja ne bi bilo podobno za uzgoj vinove loze u slučaju globalnog zatopljenja za 2 stupnja Celzijeva, odnosno nestalo bi 85 posto vinograda ako se Zemlja zagrije za 4 stupnja.

Ovaj drugi scenarij znanstvenici sve više smatraju izglednijim.

Zauzvrat, druga bi područja postala povoljna za proizvodnju vina.

Najveći gubitnici bile bi pokrajine koje već imaju toplu klimu, mediteranske zemlje poput Italije ili Španjolske koje bi izgubile 65 posto svojih vinograda.

S druge strane, vinorodna područja na višim nadmorskim visinama, primjerice na Novom Zelandu ili na sjeveru Sjedinjenih Država, dobila bi nova područja za uzgoj vinove loze, od 15 do 100 posto, ovisno o sortama.

Države s umjerenom klimom, kao što su Francuska ili Njemačka, izgubile bi i dobile u jednakom omjeru, oko 20 posto. 
Znanstvenici ističu da bi se gubici mogli nadoknaditi promjenama u uzgoju sorti grožđa i u tom slučaju gubici bi se mogli smanjiti s 56 na 24 posto u slučaju podizanja temperature za 2 posto.

U slučaju da se Zemlja zagrije za 4 stupnja, gubici bi se prelaskom na uzgoj drugih sorta mogli ublažiti s 85 na 58 posto.
Kasne sorte i one koje bolje podnose vrućinu kao što su shiraz, grenaš (grenache) i  mourvedre (mataro) mogle bi se više razvijati u sadašnjim vinorodnim područjima, a današnje rane sorte kao što su crni pinot ili chardonnay mogle bi se proširiti u novim regijama.

Takve bi promjene donijele složene izazove, ali oni nisu nepremostivi, navode autori studije.

Američki i francuski znanstvenici s Nacionalnog instituta za istraživanje u poljoprivredi, proizvodnji  hrane i okolišu svoju su studiju objavili u utorak u američkom časopisu PNAS.

Razvili su model za 11 najpoznatijih sorta u svijetu i te su podatke kombinirali s projekcijama globalnog zatopljenja.

Njihova je studija pokazala da 56 posto današnjih vinorodnih područja ne bi bilo podobno za uzgoj vinove loze u slučaju globalnog zatopljenja za 2 stupnja Celzijeva, odnosno nestalo bi 85 posto vinograda ako se Zemlja zagrije za 4...
