Australka Mina Guli u utorak je završila posljednju etapu supermaratona preko sedam pustinja na sedam kontinenata, na koji je krenula u nadi da će i druge ljude potaknuti da čuvaju zalihe svježe vode na planetu.

Guli (45) je u sedam tjedana trčala preko sedam pustinja i sedam kontinenata. Maraton je završila blizu Las Vegasa na UN-ov Svjetski dan voda 22. ožujka.

Trčala je pustinjama Španjolske (Tabernas), Jordana (Arapska pustinja), Australije (Simpson), Antarktike (koja je po mizernoj količini padalina zapravo najveća pustinja svijeta), Južne Afrike (Richtersveld), Čilea (Atacama) i SAD-a (Mojave), što je ukupno iznosilo 1.688 kilometara.

Pritom joj se raspalo osam pari tenisica. Kaže da joj je najteže bilo u Australiji gdje je trčala na temperaturama do 47 stupnjeva Celzija, kamo je stigla s Antarktike gdje su je pratile temperature do minus 20.

Guli je na čelu zaklade Thirst (Žeđ) koja nastoji educirati ljude da smanje potrošnju vode. "U velikoj smo krizi sa zalihama svježe vode", rekla je po završetku maratona, upozorivši da će klimatske promjene u budućnosti uzrokovati sve veće suše.

Australka Mina Guli u utorak je završila posljednju etapu supermaratona preko sedam pustinja na sedam kontinenata, na koji je krenula u nadi da će i druge ljude potaknuti da čuvaju zalihe svježe vode na planetu.

Guli (45) je u sedam tjedana trčala preko sedam pustinja i sedam kontinenata. Maraton je završila blizu Las Vegasa na UN-ov Svjetski dan voda 22. ožujka.

Trčala je pustinjama Španjolske (Tabernas), Jordana (Arapska pustinja), Australije (Simpson), Antarktike (koja je po mizernoj količini padalina zapravo najveća pustinja svijeta), Južne Afrike (Richtersveld), Čilea (Atacama) i SAD-a (Mojave), što je ukupno iznosilo 1.688 kilometara.

Pritom joj se raspalo osam pari tenisica. Kaže da joj je najteže bilo u Australiji gdje je trčala na temperaturama do 47 stupnjeva Celzija, kamo je stigla s Antarktike gdje su je pratile temperature do minus 20.

Guli je na čelu zaklade Thirst (Žeđ) koja nastoji educirati ljude da smanje potrošnju vode. "U velikoj smo krizi sa zalihama svježe vode", rekla je po završetku maratona, upozorivši da će klimatske promjene u budućnosti uzrokovati sve veće suše.
