Neki znanstvenici tvrde da napokon imaju odgovor na pitanje koliko dugo antitijela ostaju u organizmu nakon infekcije Covidom-19, prenosi Nova.rs.

Studija objavljena u Nature Microbiology bazirana je na ispitivanju antitijela 38 pacijenata i zdravstvenih radnika u bolnici St. Thomas koji su bili zaraženi tijekom prvog vala pandemije, prije nego što su cijepljeni.

Usprkos početnom padu razine antitijela neposredno nakon infekcije, rezultati su pokazali da su kod većine ljudi (18/19 pacijenata) antitijela prisutna i 10 mjeseci nakon zaraze.

Istraživački tim koji je predvodila doktorica Katie Doores iz Škole za imunologiju i mikrobiološke znanosti, također je testirao kako će antitijela stvorena za borbu protiv specifične varijante SARS-CoV-2 reagirati na druge varijante. Ispostavilo se da antitijela generiraju snažan odgovor na ponovnu infekciju istim sojem, ali su bila manje djelotvorna u borbi protiv drugih sojeva.

Antitijela se vezuju za šiljasti protein na virusu SARS-CoV-2, a cjepiva oponašaju ovaj protein kako bi stvorile imunološki odgovor. Međutim, mutacije u novim sojevima virusa (alfa, beta, delta) stvorile su zabrinutost oko toga hoće li cjepiva, koja su razvijena za ciljanje originalne wuhanske varijante, biti efikasne protiv novih, i bi li trebalo predizajnirati nova cjepiva.

Ovi rezultati sugeriraju da bi cjepiva specijalizirana za jedan soj bile manje učinkovite protiv drugih sojeva, te da cjepiva dizajnirana za originalnu varijantu, koja se trenutno daju, pružaju najbolju zaštitu od svih sojeva te ih treba koristiti za programe cijepljenja.

Neki znanstvenici tvrde da napokon imaju odgovor na pitanje koliko dugo antitijela ostaju u organizmu nakon infekcije Covidom-19, prenosi Nova.rs.

Studija objavljena u Nature Microbiology bazirana je na ispitivanju antitijela 38 pacijenata i zdravstvenih radnika u bolnici St. Thomas koji su bili zaraženi tijekom prvog vala pandemije, prije nego što su cijepljeni.

Usprkos početnom padu razine antitijela neposredno nakon infekcije, rezultati su pokazali da su kod većine ljudi (18/19 pacijenata) antitijela prisutna i 10 mjeseci nakon zaraze.

Istraživački tim koji je predvodila doktorica Katie Doores iz Škole za imunologiju i mikrobiološke znanosti, također je testirao kako će antitijela stvorena za borbu protiv specifične varijante SARS-CoV-2 reagirati na druge varijante. Ispostavilo se da antitijela generiraju snažan odgovor na ponovnu infekciju istim sojem, ali su bila manje djelotvorna u borbi protiv drugih sojeva.

Antitijela se vezuju za šiljasti protein na virusu SARS-CoV-2, a cjepiva oponašaju ovaj protein kako bi stvorile imunološki odgovor. Međutim, mutacije u novim sojevima virusa (alfa, beta, delta) stvorile su zabrinutost oko toga hoće li cjepiva, koja su razvijena za ciljanje originalne wuhanske varijante, biti efikasne protiv novih, i bi li trebalo predizajnirati nova cjepiva.

Ovi rezultati sugeriraju da bi cjepiva specijalizirana za jedan soj bile manje učinkovite protiv drugih sojeva, te da cjepiva dizajnirana za originalnu varijantu, koja se trenutno daju, pružaju najbolju zaštitu od svih sojeva te ih treba koristiti za programe cijepljenja.

Neki znanstvenici tvrde da napokon imaju odgovor na pitanje koliko dugo antitijela ostaju u organizmu nakon infekcije Covidom-19, prenosi Nova.rs.

Studija objavljena u Nature Microbiology bazirana je na ispitivanju antitijela 38 pacijenata i zdravstvenih radnika u bolnici St. Thomas koji su bili zaraženi tijekom prvog vala pandemije, prije nego što su cijepljeni.

Usprkos početnom padu razine antitijela neposredno nakon infekcije, rezultati su pokazali da su kod većine ljudi (18/19 pacijenata) antitijela prisutna i 10 mjeseci nakon zaraze.

Istraživački tim koji je predvodila doktorica Katie Doores iz Škole za imunologiju i mikrobiološke znanosti, također je testirao kako će antitijela stvorena za borbu protiv specifične varijante SARS-CoV-2 reagirati na druge varijante....
