Hrvatska bilježi veliki porast broja oboljelih od zloćudnih tumora kože zbog čega je potrebno donijeti nacionalni preventivni program borbe protiv te teške bolesti, istaknuto je u utorak na predstavljanju ovogodišnje kampanje borbe protiv melanoma.
"Prema smrtnosti od melanoma u samom smo europskom vrhu, na visokom četvrtom mjestu iza istočnoeuropskih zemalja", upozorila je akademkinja Mirna Šitum na predstavljanju kampanje "Euromelanoma 2022.“
S obzirom na poražavajuće podatke o incidenciji i mortalitetu od melanoma, poručila je da treba donijeti nacionalni preventivni program borbe protiv melanoma.
Naglasila je i tri ključne stvari u borbi protiv zloćudnih tumora kože – poticanje svijesti o rizicima, smanjenje izlaganja UV zrakama i samopreglede.
"U trenutku otkrivanja melanoma, samo 53 posto oboljelih u Hrvatskoj ima prvi stadij bolesti, dok ostali bolesnici imaju metastaze", rekla je Šitum.
Gotovo dva desetljeća u Hrvatskoj se provodi javnozdravstvena kampanja s upozoravanjem na rizične čimbenike, potrebu fotoprotekcije, te se organiziraju pregledi građana diljem zemlje.

"Unatoč svemu tome, problem pravodobne dijagnostike melanoma nije riješen", istaknula je Šitum.
Od 1992. Međunarodna agencija za istraživanje raka  ultraljubičasto zračenje klasificirala u prvu skupinu kancerogena, a od 2007.  i umjetne izvore ultraljubičastog zračenja kao što su solariji. Čak devet posto svih slučajeva melanoma u žena povezano je s cjelogodišnjim korištenjem solarija.
Prema međunarodnim istraživanjima, 92 posto ljudi prepoznaje izlaganje suncu kao rizični čimbenik, no samo ih 18 posto redovito koristi zaštitu od UV zračenja.
Predsjednica Hrvatskog dermatovenerološkog društva  Branka Marinović istaknula je važnost kampanje koja se ove godine održava pod geslom "Nije važno koliko godina imaš, nego koliko si se godina sunčao".
"Ovogodišnja poruka je ključna, UV kilometraža je ta koju trebamo brojati, godine provedene na suncu su bitne, a ne koliko mi imamo godina", rekla je Marinović.
Osim stručnjaka, javnosti se obratila i novinarka Irina Čulinović, koja je govorila o vlastitom iskustvu borbe s melanomom.
"Većinu života sam kao i svi željela po dolasku s godišnjeg biti preplanula, da se vidi da sam bila na moru. Svi smo tako funkcionirali. Danas mislim i djelujem drugačije. Sasvim slučajno otkriven mi je melanom, na sreću u ranoj fazi. Baš zato želim naglasiti važnost samopregleda i razvijanja navike redovitih odlazaka dermatologu", poručila je Čulinović.

Hrvatska bilježi veliki porast broja oboljelih od zloćudnih tumora kože zbog čega je potrebno donijeti nacionalni preventivni program borbe protiv te teške bolesti, istaknuto je u utorak na predstavljanju ovogodišnje kampanje borbe protiv melanoma.
"Prema smrtnosti od melanoma u samom smo europskom vrhu, na visokom četvrtom mjestu iza istočnoeuropskih zemalja", upozorila je akademkinja Mirna Šitum na predstavljanju kampanje "Euromelanoma 2022.“
S obzirom na poražavajuće podatke o incidenciji i mortalitetu od melanoma, poručila je da treba donijeti nacionalni preventivni program borbe protiv melanoma.
Naglasila je i tri ključne stvari u borbi protiv zloćudnih tumora kože – poticanje svijesti o rizicima, smanjenje izlaganja UV zrakama i samopreglede.
"U trenutku otkrivanja melanoma, samo 53 posto oboljelih u Hrvatskoj ima prvi stadij bolesti, dok ostali bolesnici imaju metastaze", rekla je Šitum.
Gotovo dva desetljeća u Hrvatskoj se provodi javnozdravstvena kampanja s upozoravanjem na rizične čimbenike, potrebu fotoprotekcije, te se organiziraju pregledi građana diljem zemlje.

"Unatoč svemu tome, problem pravodobne dijagnostike melanoma nije riješen", istaknula je Šitum.
Od 1992. Međunarodna agencija za istraživanje raka  ultraljubičasto zračenje klasificirala u prvu skupinu kancerogena, a od 2007.  i umjetne izvore ultraljubičastog zračenja kao što su solariji. Čak devet posto svih slučajeva melanoma u žena povezano je s cjelogodišnjim korištenjem solarija.
Prema međunarodnim istraživanjima, 92 posto ljudi prepoznaje izlaganje suncu kao rizični čimbenik, no samo ih 18 posto redovito koristi zaštitu od UV zračenja.
Predsjednica Hrvatskog dermatovenerološkog društva  Branka Marinović istaknula je važnost kampanje koja se ove godine održava pod geslom "Nije važno koliko godina imaš, nego koliko si se godina sunčao".
"Ovogodišnja poruka je ključna, UV kilometraža je ta koju trebamo brojati, godine provedene na suncu su bitne, a ne koliko mi imamo godina", rekla je Marinović.
Osim stručnjaka, javnosti se obratila i novinarka Irina Čulinović, koja je govorila o vlastitom iskustvu borbe s melanomom.
"Većinu života sam kao i svi željela po dolasku s godišnjeg biti preplanula, da se vidi da sam bila na moru. Svi smo tako funkcionirali. Danas mislim i djelujem drugačije. Sasvim slučajno otkriven mi je melanom, na sreću u ranoj fazi. Baš zato želim naglasiti važnost samopregleda i razvijanja navike redovitih odlazaka dermatologu", poručila je Čulinović.

U trenutku otkrivanja melanoma, samo 53 posto oboljelih u Hrvatskoj ima prvi stadij bolesti, dok ostali bolesnici imaju metastaze

Hrvatska bilježi veliki porast broja oboljelih od zloćudnih tumora kože zbog čega je potrebno donijeti nacionalni preventivni program borbe protiv te teške bolesti, istaknuto je u utorak na predstavljanju ovogodišnje kampanje borbe protiv melanoma.
"Prema smrtnosti od melanoma u samom smo europskom vrhu, na visokom četvrtom mjestu iza istočnoeuropskih zemalja", upozorila je akademkinja Mirna Šitum na predstavljanju kampanje "Euromelanoma 2022.“
S obzirom na poražavajuće podatke o incidenciji i mortalitetu od melanoma, poručila je da treba donijeti nacionalni preventivni program borbe protiv melanoma.
Naglasila je i tri ključne stvari u borbi protiv zloćudnih tumora kože – poticanje svijesti o rizicima, smanjenje izlaganja UV zrakama i samopreglede.
