Korištenje marihuane tijekom trudnoće povećava rizik da će dijete razviti autizam, pokazala je kanadska studija, inače dosad najveće takvo istraživanje.
– Žene koje su tijekom trudnoće koristile kanabis imale su 1,5 puta veću vjerojatnost da će imati dijete s autizmom. Ovo su uvjerljivi nalazi koji upozoravaju na izuzetno štetno djelovanje kanabisa ako se koristi tijekom trudnoće i dojenja – izjavila je autorica studije dr. Darine El-Chaâr, specijalistica za fetalnu medicinu i klinička istražiteljica iz Istraživačkog instituta bolnice Ottawa u Kanadi.
Dosadašnje studije pokazale su da je uporaba marihuane tijekom trudnoće povezana s niskom porođajnom težinom, impulzivnošću, hiperaktivnošću, problemima pažnje i drugim kognitivnim poremećajima u ponašanju djece, navode američki centri za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti.
Trudnice koje koriste marihuanu, pokazalo je jedno istraživanje, imaju 2,3 puta veći rizik da rode mrtvorođenče.
– Na temelju toga, nisam previše iznenađena ovim nalazima, budući da se mozak fetusa razvija u svim gestacijskim dobima – rekla je dr. El-Chaâr.
U studiji, koja je ovih dana objavljena u časopisu Nature, obrađeni su podaci o svakom porođaju u Ontariju u Kanadi između 2007. i 2012., znatno prije nego što je rekreativna marihuana legalizirana u Kanadi 2017.
Zabrinutost zbog legalizacije
Od pola milijuna žena iz te baze podataka, istraživači su tada suzili studiju na 2200 žena koje su potvrdile da su tijekom trudnoće koristile samo marihuanu, ne i duhan, alkohol ili opioide.
Studija nije analizirala količinu i vrstu marihuane koju su žene koristile niti kada su tijekom trudnoće ili koliko često konzumirale ovu drogu.
I dok je studija mogla pokazati samo povezanost, a ne uzrok i posljedicu, istraživači su rekli da su dali sve od sebe kako bi uklonili sve zbunjujuće faktore.
Kako se marihuana sve češće legalizira i postaje društveno prihvatljivija, istraživači zdravstvene skrbi zabrinuti su zbog toga, jer će buduće majke smatrati da je u redu koristiti je za ublažavanje jutarnje mučnine ili će je koristiti rekreativno, usprkos nedostatku istraživanja o dugoročnim utjecajima na fetus.
Žene su koristile marihuanu da bi izbjegle lijekove za koje smatraju da su štetniji za njihovo dijete, poput tableta protiv mučnine, antipsihotičnih lijekova i opioida, pokazalo je jedno malo istraživanje na trudničkoj populaciji koje su objavili istraživači Sveučilišta Washington State. El-Chaâr je otkrila i što buduće majke navode kao razloge za upotrebu marihuane.
– Pomaže im kod različitih stanja koja mogu imati ili zbog mučnine i povraćanja u trudnoći. Neke kažu da je koriste kao pomoć kod nesanice, za spavanje ili za smanjenje stresa.
Druge je koriste rekreativno i to je samo dio njihove dnevne rutine – kaže dr. El-Chaâr.
Korištenje marihuane među trudnicama raste posljednjih desetljeća i u Sjedinjenim Državama. Analiza koju je prošle godine proveo Nacionalni institut za zlouporabu droga pokazala je da više od 450.000 trudnica u dobi od 12 do 44 godina koristilo kanabis, a to znači da se upotreba ove droge više nego udvostručila između 2002. i 2017. godine.
Prvo tromjesečje
Marihuanu su najčešće koristile tijekom prva tri mjeseca trudnoće, pokazalo je istraživanje, i uglavnom je to bilo rekreativno, a ne u medicinske svrhe.
Ipak, prvo je tromjesečje možda jedno od najosjetljivijih razdoblja za razvoj mozga fetusa, kada je najosjetljiviji na oštećenja, ističe dr. El-Chaâr. Istraživanja su pronašla receptore za kanabis u mozgu životinja već u pet i šest tjedana gestacijske dobi, rekla je i dodala:
– Možete pretpostaviti da ako postoje kanabinoidni receptori i ako je dječji mozak izložen, da to može imati negativan utjecaj na razvoj mozga.
Stručnjaci kažu da bi svaka žena koja koristi marihuanu i otkrila da je trudna trebala odmah razgovarati o njezinoj upotrebi sa svojim liječnicima.
Ipak, mnoge mlade žene nisu iskrene, pokazale su studije. Jedno istraživanje žena starijih od 24 godine, ali i mlađih, otkrilo je da je otprilike dva puta vjerojatnije da će na marihuanu biti pozitivne, iako to nisu priznale.

Korištenje marihuane tijekom trudnoće povećava rizik da će dijete razviti autizam, pokazala je kanadska studija, inače dosad najveće takvo istraživanje.
– Žene koje su tijekom trudnoće koristile kanabis imale su 1,5 puta veću vjerojatnost da će imati dijete s autizmom. Ovo su uvjerljivi nalazi koji upozoravaju na izuzetno štetno djelovanje kanabisa ako se koristi tijekom trudnoće i dojenja – izjavila je autorica studije dr. Darine El-Chaâr, specijalistica za fetalnu medicinu i klinička istražiteljica iz Istraživačkog instituta bolnice Ottawa u Kanadi.
Dosadašnje studije pokazale su da je uporaba marihuane tijekom trudnoće povezana s niskom porođajnom težinom, impulzivnošću, hiperaktivnošću, problemima pažnje i drugim kognitivnim poremećajima u ponašanju djece, navode američki centri za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti.
Trudnice koje koriste marihuanu, pokazalo je jedno istraživanje, imaju 2,3 puta veći rizik da rode mrtvorođenče.
– Na temelju toga, nisam previše iznenađena ovim nalazima, budući da se mozak fetusa razvija u svim gestacijskim dobima – rekla je dr. El-Chaâr.
U studiji, koja je ovih dana objavljena u časopisu Nature, obrađeni su podaci o svakom porođaju u Ontariju u Kanadi između 2007. i 2012., znatno prije nego što je rekreativna marihuana legalizirana u Kanadi 2017.
Zabrinutost zbog legalizacije
Od pola milijuna žena iz te baze podataka, istraživači su tada suzili studiju na 2200 žena koje su potvrdile da su tijekom trudnoće koristile samo marihuanu, ne i duhan, alkohol ili opioide.
Studija nije analizirala količinu i vrstu marihuane koju su žene koristile niti kada su tijekom trudnoće ili koliko često konzumirale ovu drogu.
I dok je studija mogla pokazati samo povezanost, a ne uzrok i posljedicu, istraživači su rekli da su dali sve od sebe kako bi uklonili sve zbunjujuće faktore.
Kako se marihuana sve češće legalizira i postaje društveno prihvatljivija, istraživači zdravstvene skrbi zabrinuti su zbog toga, jer će buduće majke smatrati da je u redu koristiti je za ublažavanje jutarnje mučnine ili će je koristiti rekreativno, usprkos nedostatku istraživanja o dugoročnim utjecajima na fetus.
Žene su koristile marihuanu da bi izbjegle lijekove za koje smatraju da su štetniji za njihovo dijete, poput tableta protiv mučnine, antipsihotičnih lijekova i opioida, pokazalo je jedno malo istraživanje na trudničkoj populaciji koje su objavili istraživači Sveučilišta Washington State. El-Chaâr je otkrila i što buduće majke navode kao razloge za upotrebu marihuane.
– Pomaže im kod različitih stanja koja mogu imati ili zbog mučnine i povraćanja u trudnoći. Neke kažu da je koriste kao pomoć kod nesanice, za spavanje ili za smanjenje stresa.
Druge je koriste rekreativno i to je samo dio njihove dnevne rutine – kaže dr. El-Chaâr.
Korištenje marihuane među trudnicama raste posljednjih desetljeća i u Sjedinjenim Državama. Analiza koju je prošle godine proveo Nacionalni institut za zlouporabu droga pokazala je da više od 450.000 trudnica u dobi od 12 do 44 godina koristilo kanabis, a to znači da se upotreba ove droge više nego udvostručila između 2002. i 2017. godine.
Prvo tromjesečje
Marihuanu su najčešće koristile tijekom prva tri mjeseca trudnoće, pokazalo je istraživanje, i uglavnom je to bilo rekreativno, a ne u medicinske svrhe.
Ipak, prvo je tromjesečje možda jedno od najosjetljivijih razdoblja za razvoj mozga fetusa, kada je najosjetljiviji na oštećenja, ističe dr. El-Chaâr. Istraživanja su pronašla receptore za kanabis u mozgu životinja već u pet i šest tjedana gestacijske dobi, rekla je i dodala:
– Možete pretpostaviti da ako postoje kanabinoidni receptori i ako je dječji mozak izložen, da to može imati negativan utjecaj na razvoj mozga.
Stručnjaci kažu da bi svaka žena koja koristi marihuanu i otkrila da je trudna trebala odmah razgovarati o njezinoj upotrebi sa svojim liječnicima.
Ipak, mnoge mlade žene nisu iskrene, pokazale su studije. Jedno istraživanje žena starijih od 24 godine, ali i mlađih, otkrilo je da je otprilike dva puta vjerojatnije da će na marihuanu biti pozitivne, iako to nisu priznale.
