Prvi taktovi Beethovenove simfonije izazivaju brže kucanje srca, ali ne samo figurativno. Nema sumnje da nas glazba može dirnuti u emocionalnom smislu, no ona i fizički stimulira srce te može smanjiti krvni tlak. Prema statistikama, više od jedne na svakih pet osoba u dobi od 15 i više godina u EU ima povišen krvni tlak, što može dovesti do zatajenja srca, bubrega ili mozga. Snižavanjem krvnog tlaka čak i za vrlo male vrijednosti može smanjiti rizik za razvoj kardiovaskularnih bolesti, piše Živim.

Tonovi koji diraju srce

U suradnji s Laboratorijem za znanost i tehnologiju glazbe u Parizu i Sveučilištem King‘s Colleg u Londonu, profesorica Elaine Chew radi na razvijanju aplikacije za pametne telefone namijenjene za jačanje zdravlja srca, u sklopu projekta nazvanog HEART.FM financiranom iz EU fondova. - Kreiramo aplikaciju koja će pratiti reakciju ljudi na glazbu koju slušaju te potom "skrojiti" glazbu koja će donositi dobrobiti za njihovo zdravlje – rekla je Chew, profesorica inženjerstva na Sveučilištu King‘s College koja surađuje i s bolnicom St. Bartholomew u Londonu. Riječ je o aplikaciji koja koja koristi mjerenje srca i algoritme umjetne inteligencije kako bi kreirala plan slušanja glazbe koji će regulirati krvni tlak. Dok projekt HEART.FM radi na tome da pomogne ljudima danas, jednu drugi projekt financiran iz EU fondova i nazvan GOING VIRAL analizira kako su javna percepcija i korištenje glazbe u Europi evoluirali tijekom epidemija kroz protekla četiri stoljeća. U

17. stoljeću mnogi su ljudi u Europi vjerovali da glazba ima moć da zaustavi ili čak i spriječi epidemiju kuge, tvrdi profesorica Marie Louise Hezfeld-Schild, voditeljica projekta GOING VIRAL i muzikologinja na Sveučilištu za glazbu i izvedbene umjetnosti u Beču. Ova dva projekta bave se utjecajem glazbe na ljudske emocije kroz povijest i načinom na koji se njezin moćan utjecaj na emocije danas koristi uz pomoć moderne tehnologije.

Osobna perspektiva

Za prof. Chew projekt HEART.FM ima i duboko osobno značenje. Naime, ona je patila od aritmije, odnosno poremećaja srčanog ritma, koja je bila uspješno izliječena. To je iskustvo kod prof. Chew osvijestilo važnost zdravlja srca kako vlastitog tako i drugih ljudi. - Medicina mi je omogućila da imam mnogo bolju kvalitetu života i navela me na to da ponovo razmislim o smislu onoga čime se bavim – rekla je Chew koja je i sama profesionalna pijanistica. Od 2018. istraživala je kako ljudska srca reagiraju na glazbu, i to počevši s pacijentima koji imaju pacemakere. Pacemaker je uređaj koji se koristi za liječenje poremećaja srčanog ritma ili aritmije, uslijed koje srce kuca presporo, prebrzo ili nepravilno. Pacemaker omogućava pacijentovom srcu da kuca pravilnim ritmom tako što mu šalje električne impulse.

Prof. Chew i njezini kolege u bolnici St. Bartholomew otkrili su neke prilično dobre vijesti: period oporavka između otkucaja kod osoba s pacemakerom može se modulirati glazbom. Općenito, brže vrijeme oporavka ukazuje na stres dok duži period ukazuje na opuštenost i smirenost. Na temelju tog otkrića do kojeg je došla u studiji u koju su bili uključeni pacijenti s pacemakerom Chew danas radi na razvoju aplikacije HEART.FM koja će biti namijenjena široj populaciji.

- Ljudi uživaju u glazbi i slušanje glazbe smatraju ugodnim provođenjem vremena, a kod ove aplikacije razlika je u tome što mi pratimo kako tijelo reagira na glazbu – pojašnjava Chew. Cilj projekta HEART.FM je otkriti kardiovaskularne reakcije ljudi na glazbu koju slušaju. Prof. Chew često "spaja" svoje studente na testni uređaj i zatim im šalje podatke s aplikacije kako bi mogli vidjeti svoj vlastiti psihološki odgovor na glazbu. Ovu aplikaciju, koja je još u procesu razvijanja, korisnici će moći preuzeti na svoj pametni telefon, a ona će potom pratiti ritmičku reakciju njihovog srca na glazbu i usmjeriti ih prema terapeutskom glazbenom "koktelu" čiji je cilj sniziti krvni tlak. Plan je da aplikacija bude globalno dostupna za preuzimanje putem trgovina aplikacijama, piše Živim.

Prvi taktovi Beethovenove simfonije izazivaju brže kucanje srca, ali ne samo figurativno. Nema sumnje da nas glazba može dirnuti u emocionalnom smislu, no ona i fizički stimulira srce te može smanjiti krvni tlak. Prema statistikama, više od jedne na svakih pet osoba u dobi od 15 i više godina u EU ima povišen krvni tlak, što može dovesti do zatajenja srca, bubrega ili mozga. Snižavanjem krvnog tlaka čak i za vrlo male vrijednosti može smanjiti rizik za razvoj kardiovaskularnih bolesti, piše Živim.

Tonovi koji diraju srce

U suradnji s Laboratorijem za znanost i tehnologiju glazbe u Parizu i Sveučilištem King‘s Colleg u Londonu, profesorica Elaine Chew radi na razvijanju aplikacije za pametne telefone namijenjene za jačanje zdravlja srca, u sklopu projekta nazvanog HEART.FM financiranom iz EU fondova. - Kreiramo aplikaciju koja će pratiti reakciju ljudi na glazbu koju slušaju te potom "skrojiti" glazbu koja će donositi dobrobiti za njihovo zdravlje – rekla je Chew, profesorica inženjerstva na Sveučilištu King‘s College koja surađuje i s bolnicom St. Bartholomew u Londonu. Riječ je o aplikaciji koja koja koristi mjerenje srca i algoritme umjetne inteligencije kako bi kreirala plan slušanja glazbe koji će regulirati krvni tlak. Dok projekt HEART.FM radi na tome da pomogne ljudima danas, jednu drugi projekt financiran iz EU fondova i nazvan GOING VIRAL analizira kako su javna percepcija i korištenje glazbe u Europi evoluirali tijekom epidemija kroz protekla četiri stoljeća. U

17. stoljeću mnogi su ljudi u Europi vjerovali da glazba ima moć da zaustavi ili čak i spriječi epidemiju kuge, tvrdi profesorica Marie Louise Hezfeld-Schild, voditeljica projekta GOING VIRAL i muzikologinja na Sveučilištu za glazbu i izvedbene umjetnosti u Beču. Ova dva projekta bave se utjecajem glazbe na ljudske emocije kroz povijest i načinom na koji se njezin moćan utjecaj na emocije danas koristi uz pomoć moderne tehnologije.

Osobna perspektiva

Za prof. Chew projekt HEART.FM ima i duboko osobno značenje. Naime, ona je patila od aritmije, odnosno poremećaja srčanog ritma, koja je bila uspješno izliječena. To je iskustvo kod prof. Chew osvijestilo važnost zdravlja srca kako vlastitog tako i drugih ljudi. - Medicina mi je omogućila da imam mnogo bolju kvalitetu života i navela me na to da ponovo razmislim o smislu onoga čime se bavim – rekla je Chew koja je i sama profesionalna pijanistica. Od 2018. istraživala je kako ljudska srca reagiraju na glazbu, i to počevši s pacijentima koji imaju pacemakere. Pacemaker je uređaj koji se koristi za liječenje poremećaja srčanog ritma ili aritmije, uslijed koje srce kuca presporo, prebrzo ili nepravilno. Pacemaker omogućava pacijentovom srcu da kuca pravilnim ritmom tako što mu šalje električne impulse.

Prof. Chew i njezini kolege u bolnici St. Bartholomew otkrili su neke prilično dobre vijesti: period oporavka između otkucaja kod osoba s pacemakerom može se modulirati glazbom. Općenito, brže vrijeme oporavka ukazuje na stres dok duži period ukazuje na opuštenost i smirenost. Na temelju tog otkrića do kojeg je došla u studiji u koju su bili uključeni pacijenti s pacemakerom Chew danas radi na razvoju aplikacije HEART.FM koja će biti namijenjena široj populaciji.

- Ljudi uživaju u glazbi i slušanje glazbe smatraju ugodnim provođenjem vremena, a kod ove aplikacije razlika je u tome što mi pratimo kako tijelo reagira na glazbu – pojašnjava Chew. Cilj projekta HEART.FM je otkriti kardiovaskularne reakcije ljudi na glazbu koju slušaju. Prof. Chew često "spaja" svoje studente na testni uređaj i zatim im šalje podatke s aplikacije kako bi mogli vidjeti svoj vlastiti psihološki odgovor na glazbu. Ovu aplikaciju, koja je još u procesu razvijanja, korisnici će moći preuzeti na svoj pametni telefon, a ona će potom pratiti ritmičku reakciju njihovog srca na glazbu i usmjeriti ih prema terapeutskom glazbenom "koktelu" čiji je cilj sniziti krvni tlak. Plan je da aplikacija bude globalno dostupna za preuzimanje putem trgovina aplikacijama, piše Živim.
