Manje je vjerojatno da će žene biti na javnom mjestu oživljavane, nego muškarci, ako izgube svijest i srce im prestane kucati, pokazalo je novo istraživanje.

Prolaznici bi mogli biti "zabrinuti zbog ozljeđivanja ili dodirivanja žena" što bi ih moglo spriječiti u pružanju spasonosne kardiopulmonalne reanimacije na ulici ili drugim javnim mjestima, sugeriraju znanstvenici.

Oni su pozvali ljude da nauče kako izvoditi postupak oživljavanja i da ga primjene "bez oklijevanja" na svima kojima je to potrebno, bez obzira na njihovu dob, spol ili mjesto.

Tim kanadskih znanstvenika istraživao je pružanje pomoći ljudima kada dožive srčani zastoj - kada im srce iznenada prestane kucati.

Analizirali su podatke o više od 39.000 srčanih zastoja koji su se dogodili izvan bolničkog okruženja u Kanadi i SAD-u između 2005. i 2015. godine.

Gotovo četvrtina (23 posto) dogodila se na javnim mjestima.

Pacijenti su bili prosječne dobi od 67 godina, a 29 posto slučajeva bile su žene.

Prolaznici su samo polovicu pacijenata (54 posto) oživljavali.

Znanstvenici su otkrili da su žene na javnim mjestima imale 28 posto manju vjerojatnost da će biti oživljavane u usporedbi s muškarcima.

Čini se da u domovima i na drugim privatnim mjestima spol nije bio povezan s time je li osoba oživljavana ili nije.

Prema studiji koja je predstavljena na Europskom kongresu hitne medicine u Barceloni, znanstvenici su otkrili da je manja vjerojatnost da će stariji ljudi biti oživljavani na privatnim lokacijama.

Sa svakih 10 godina više, muškarci su imali oko 9 posto manju vjerojatnost da će biti oživljavani tijekom srčanog zastoja, a žene su imale 3 posto manje izglede.

Predstavljajući studiju dr. Sylvie Cossette iz istraživačkog centra Montreal Heart Institute u Kanadi, rekla je: "Proveli smo ovu studiju kako bismo pokušali otkriti čimbenike koji bi mogli obeshrabriti ljude od postupka oživljavanja uključujući sve čimbenike koji bi mogli odvratiti ljude od oživljavanja žena.

"Željeli bismo detaljnije proučiti to pitanje kako bismo razumjeli što se krije iza razlike. To bi nam moglo pomoći da budemo sigurni da će postupak oživljavanja dobiti svatko tko to treba, bez obzira na spol, dob ili lokaciju.”

Dr. Alexis Cournoyer iz bolnice Hopital du Sacre-Coeur de Montreal u Kanadi, dodaje: "U hitnim slučajevima kada je netko bez svijesti i ne diše pravilno, osim pozivanja hitne pomoći, prolaznici bi trebali oživljavati. To će pacijentu dati mnogo veće šanse za preživljavanje i oporavak."

"Naša studija pokazuje da je manje vjerojatno da će žene, koje dožive srčani zastoj, biti oživljavane u usporedbi s muškarcima, osobito ako se hitan slučaj dogodi u javnosti. Ne znamo zašto je to tako. Moguće je da su ljudi zabrinuti zbog ozljeđivanja ili dodirivanja žena ili da misle da je manja vjerojatnost da će žena doživjeti srčani zastoj", kaže Cournoyer.

Manje je vjerojatno da će žene biti na javnom mjestu oživljavane, nego muškarci, ako izgube svijest i srce im prestane kucati, pokazalo je novo istraživanje.

Prolaznici bi mogli biti "zabrinuti zbog ozljeđivanja ili dodirivanja žena" što bi ih moglo spriječiti u pružanju spasonosne kardiopulmonalne reanimacije na ulici ili drugim javnim mjestima, sugeriraju znanstvenici.

Oni su pozvali ljude da nauče kako izvoditi postupak oživljavanja i da ga primjene "bez oklijevanja" na svima kojima je to potrebno, bez obzira na njihovu dob, spol ili mjesto.

Tim kanadskih znanstvenika istraživao je pružanje pomoći ljudima kada dožive srčani zastoj - kada im srce iznenada prestane kucati.

Analizirali su podatke o više od 39.000 srčanih zastoja koji su se dogodili izvan bolničkog okruženja u Kanadi i SAD-u između 2005. i 2015. godine.

Gotovo četvrtina (23 posto) dogodila se na javnim mjestima.

Pacijenti su bili prosječne dobi od 67 godina, a 29 posto slučajeva bile su žene.

Prolaznici su samo polovicu pacijenata (54 posto) oživljavali.

Znanstvenici su otkrili da su žene na javnim mjestima imale 28 posto manju vjerojatnost da će biti oživljavane u usporedbi s muškarcima.

Čini se da u domovima i na drugim privatnim mjestima spol nije bio povezan s time je li osoba oživljavana ili nije.

Prema studiji koja je predstavljena na Europskom kongresu hitne medicine u Barceloni, znanstvenici su otkrili da je manja vjerojatnost da će stariji ljudi biti oživljavani na privatnim lokacijama.

Sa svakih 10 godina više, muškarci su imali oko 9 posto manju vjerojatnost da će biti oživljavani tijekom srčanog zastoja, a žene su imale 3 posto manje izglede.

Predstavljajući studiju dr. Sylvie Cossette iz istraživačkog centra Montreal Heart Institute u Kanadi, rekla je: "Proveli smo ovu studiju kako bismo pokušali otkriti čimbenike koji bi mogli obeshrabriti ljude od postupka oživljavanja uključujući sve čimbenike koji bi mogli odvratiti ljude od oživljavanja žena.

"Željeli bismo detaljnije proučiti to pitanje kako bismo razumjeli što se krije iza razlike. To bi nam moglo pomoći da budemo sigurni da će postupak oživljavanja dobiti svatko tko to treba, bez obzira na spol, dob ili lokaciju.”

Dr. Alexis Cournoyer iz bolnice Hopital du Sacre-Coeur de Montreal u Kanadi, dodaje: "U hitnim slučajevima kada je netko bez svijesti i ne diše pravilno, osim pozivanja hitne pomoći, prolaznici bi trebali oživljavati. To će pacijentu dati mnogo veće šanse za preživljavanje i oporavak."

"Naša studija pokazuje da je manje vjerojatno da će žene, koje dožive srčani zastoj, biti oživljavane u usporedbi s muškarcima, osobito ako se hitan slučaj dogodi u javnosti. Ne znamo zašto je to tako. Moguće je da su ljudi zabrinuti zbog ozljeđivanja ili dodirivanja žena ili da misle da je manja vjerojatnost da će žena doživjeti srčani zastoj", kaže Cournoyer.
