Farmaceuti na njemačkom Sveučilištu Halle-Wittenberg razvili su način otkrivanja malih količina koronavirusa u otopini za ispiranje usta, koristeći tehniku koja bi mogla poslužiti za testiranja.

Studija je koristila uzorke otopine kojom su pacijenti zaraženi novim koronavirusom ispirali usta, uspješno otkrivajući virus tehnikom masene spektometrije, priopćilo je sveučilište.

Nova metoda mora se dodatno razraditi prije nego što bi se mogla koristiti kao standardni dijagnostički alat za nadopunu postojećih testova na koronavirus, navodi se u priopćenju.

Taj je test visoko specifičan jer cilja proteinske komponente koje postoje samo u novom koronavirusu, također poznatom kao Sars-CoV-2.

"Mi mjerimo peptide koji dolaze iz virusa, a ne genetski materijal", objasnila je Andrea Sinz koja je radila na studiji.

Trenutačno je potrebno 15 minuta za dobivanje rezultata tog testa, a značajni su čak i s malim količinama otopine za ispiranje. Tim farmaceuta radi na skraćivanju vremena testiranja.

Ako se test pokaže uspješnim, mjerenja bi moglo provoditi nespecijalizirano osoblje, kažu znanstvenici.

Iako nova metoda neće biti odmah dostupna, Sinz kaže kako se nada da bi test mogao biti u funkciji za nekoliko mjeseci.

Farmaceuti na njemačkom Sveučilištu Halle-Wittenberg razvili su način otkrivanja malih količina koronavirusa u otopini za ispiranje usta, koristeći tehniku koja bi mogla poslužiti za testiranja.

Studija je koristila uzorke otopine kojom su pacijenti zaraženi novim koronavirusom ispirali usta, uspješno otkrivajući virus tehnikom masene spektometrije, priopćilo je sveučilište.

Nova metoda mora se dodatno razraditi prije nego što bi se mogla koristiti kao standardni dijagnostički alat za nadopunu postojećih testova na koronavirus, navodi se u priopćenju.

Taj je test visoko specifičan jer cilja proteinske komponente koje postoje samo u novom koronavirusu, također poznatom kao Sars-CoV-2.

"Mi mjerimo peptide koji dolaze iz virusa, a ne genetski materijal", objasnila je Andrea Sinz koja je radila na studiji.

Trenutačno je potrebno 15 minuta za dobivanje rezultata tog testa, a značajni su čak i s malim količinama otopine za ispiranje. Tim farmaceuta radi na skraćivanju vremena testiranja.

Ako se test pokaže uspješnim, mjerenja bi moglo provoditi nespecijalizirano osoblje, kažu znanstvenici.

Iako nova metoda neće biti odmah dostupna, Sinz kaže kako se nada da bi test mogao biti u funkciji za nekoliko mjeseci.

Njemački farmaceuti otkrili da koronavirus mogu detektirati tekućinom za ispiranje usta, test bi mogao biti u funkciji za nekoliko mjeseci

Farmaceuti na njemačkom Sveučilištu Halle-Wittenberg razvili su način otkrivanja malih količina koronavirusa u otopini za ispiranje usta, koristeći tehniku koja bi mogla poslužiti za testiranja.

Studija je koristila uzorke otopine kojom su pacijenti zaraženi novim koronavirusom ispirali usta, uspješno otkrivajući virus tehnikom masene spektometrije, priopćilo je sveučilište.

Nova metoda mora se dodatno razraditi prije nego što bi se mogla koristiti kao standardni dijagnostički alat za nadopunu postojećih testova na koronavirus, navodi se u priopćenju.

Taj je test visoko specifičan jer cilja proteinske komponente koje postoje samo u novom koronavirusu, također poznatom kao Sars-CoV-2.
