Osunčan ten već se dugo smatra idealom ljepote, a sada kada se, nadamo se, oslobađamo ograničenja koja je nametnula pandemija, potražnja za sredstvima za samotamnjenje dodatno je skočila.
Ne čudi što su se svi zaželjeli malo "bojice", ali začuđuje trend koji je uzeo maha među influencerima i njihovim sljedbenicima na TikToku i Instagramu - udisanje sprejeva za koje se tvrdi da potiču tamnjenje kože, piše gloria.hr.
Put do potrošača
Glavni je sastojak u većini takvih nazalnih sprejeva sintetski hormon Melanotan 2. Koristi se u sredstvima za tamnjenje, a uloga mu je poticanje proizvodnje pigmenta melanina u specijaliziranim stanicama melanocitima, što dovodi do tamnjenja kože.
No, namijenjen je samo za istraživačke i medicinske svrhe, a upotrebljavati ga smiju samo obučeni profesionalci.
Tvar nije licencirana na razini EU niti u njenim državama članicama, a slično je i u SAD-u, Australiji, Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu.
Ipak, stiže do kupaca putem interneta te raznih teretana i vježbačkih klubova, kao sprej ili čak kao otopina za unos injekcijama.
Ne vrijedi riskirati
Influenceri sprejeve dobivaju i besplatno u zamjenu za promociju, a jedna od njih, Lauren, priznala je nedavno za BBC da je promovirala nazalni sprej za tamnjenje na TikToku, ne znajući da je ilegalan.

"Tada nisam puno razmišljala o tome, sada mi je jasno da moram biti oprezna kada nešto promoviram" - rekla je Lauren, koja je prestala ušmrkavati sprej nakon dva mjeseca jer je osjećala mučnine.
A mučnine su samo jedna od mogućih nuspojava ušmrkavanja Melanotana.
Navode se i povećavanje madeža i pjega na koži, povraćanje, gubitak apetita, crvenilo lica, glavobolje, visoki tlak, nevoljno istezanje i zijevanje, pa i spontane erekcije, ali i problemi sa srcem, poremećaji vida i po život opasne alergijske reakcije.
Mogu dovesti i do melanoma
Britanska dermatologinja dr. Catherine Borysiewicz izjavila je da takvi proizvodi "mogu potencijalno voditi do raka, imamo slučajeve koji pokazuju da se melanom razvio nakon upotrebe takvih proizvoda".
Jedna od opasnosti korištenja nelicenciranih proizvoda je i izostanak podataka o njihovim sastojcima.

BBC je poslao uzorke nazalnih sprejeva za tamnjenje na testiranje u laboratorij gdje je pronađeno oko stotinu neidentificiranih sastojaka, deset puta više nego što se očekuje u većini licenciranih lijekova.

Osunčan ten već se dugo smatra idealom ljepote, a sada kada se, nadamo se, oslobađamo ograničenja koja je nametnula pandemija, potražnja za sredstvima za samotamnjenje dodatno je skočila.
Ne čudi što su se svi zaželjeli malo "bojice", ali začuđuje trend koji je uzeo maha među influencerima i njihovim sljedbenicima na TikToku i Instagramu - udisanje sprejeva za koje se tvrdi da potiču tamnjenje kože, piše gloria.hr.
Put do potrošača
Glavni je sastojak u većini takvih nazalnih sprejeva sintetski hormon Melanotan 2. Koristi se u sredstvima za tamnjenje, a uloga mu je poticanje proizvodnje pigmenta melanina u specijaliziranim stanicama melanocitima, što dovodi do tamnjenja kože.
No, namijenjen je samo za istraživačke i medicinske svrhe, a upotrebljavati ga smiju samo obučeni profesionalci.
Tvar nije licencirana na razini EU niti u njenim državama članicama, a slično je i u SAD-u, Australiji, Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu.
Ipak, stiže do kupaca putem interneta te raznih teretana i vježbačkih klubova, kao sprej ili čak kao otopina za unos injekcijama.
Ne vrijedi riskirati
Influenceri sprejeve dobivaju i besplatno u zamjenu za promociju, a jedna od njih, Lauren, priznala je nedavno za BBC da je promovirala nazalni sprej za tamnjenje na TikToku, ne znajući da je ilegalan.

"Tada nisam puno razmišljala o tome, sada mi je jasno da moram biti oprezna kada nešto promoviram" - rekla je Lauren, koja je prestala ušmrkavati sprej nakon dva mjeseca jer je osjećala mučnine.
A mučnine su samo jedna od mogućih nuspojava ušmrkavanja Melanotana.
Navode se i povećavanje madeža i pjega na koži, povraćanje, gubitak apetita, crvenilo lica, glavobolje, visoki tlak, nevoljno istezanje i zijevanje, pa i spontane erekcije, ali i problemi sa srcem, poremećaji vida i po život opasne alergijske reakcije.
Mogu dovesti i do melanoma
Britanska dermatologinja dr. Catherine Borysiewicz izjavila je da takvi proizvodi "mogu potencijalno voditi do raka, imamo slučajeve koji pokazuju da se melanom razvio nakon upotrebe takvih proizvoda".
Jedna od opasnosti korištenja nelicenciranih proizvoda je i izostanak podataka o njihovim sastojcima.

BBC je poslao uzorke nazalnih sprejeva za tamnjenje na testiranje u laboratorij gdje je pronađeno oko stotinu neidentificiranih sastojaka, deset puta više nego što se očekuje u većini licenciranih lijekova.
"Ako ne znate što uzimate, trebali biste to izbjegavati", poručio je Tony Cass, profesor kemije na Imperial Collegeu u Londonu.

Neki korisnici nakon udisanja sprejeva žure u solarij, jer misle da će tako još pojačati učinak. Već je dugo poznato koliko prženje u solarijima može biti štetno - izlaganje UV zrakama koje emitiraju povećava rizik od razvoja karcinoma kože i ubrzava starenje kože.
Svi koji razmišljaju o tamnjenju kože udisanjem melanotana trebali bi se dobro zapitati o njegovim štetnim posljedicama.
One se mogu pojaviti brzo nakon upotrebe, ali i godinama kasnije, upozorava dermatologinja dr. Linda Honet i poručuje kako preplanulost nije vrijedna takvog rizika.
