Zdravstveni dužnosnici kažu da upravo istražuju neobjašnjive slučajeve hepatitisa kod djece u četiri europske zemlje i SAD-u – javlja BBC.

Slučajevi hepatitisa, odnosno upale jetre, prijavljeni su u Danskoj, Irskoj, Nizozemskoj, Španjolskoj i Americi, kažu zdravstveni dužnosnici.

Prošlog tjedna britanske zdravstvene vlasti rekle su da su među djecom otkrile više slučajeva te bolesti nego što je uobičajeno. Uzrok tome još nije poznat. Europski centar za kontrolu bolesti (ECDC) nije precizirao koliko je slučajeva ukupno utvrđeno u četiri europske zemlje. No, Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija (WHO) rekla je da je manje od pet dijagnosticirano u Irskoj, a tri u Španjolskoj. Dodali su da će se u narednim danima vjerojatno otkriti još slučajeva. Istrage o uzroku bolesti su u tijeku u svim europskim zemljama u kojima su prijavljeni slučajevi, priopćio je ECDC.

U SAD-u, Odjel za javno zdravstvo Alabame priopćio je da je devet slučajeva pronađeno kod djece u dobi od jedne do šest godina, pri čemu je dvoma od njih potrebna transplantacija jetre. Istrage o sličnim slučajevima u drugim državama se vode, dodaje se.

U Velikoj Britaniji je prijavljen dalek najveći broj slučajeva – ukupno 74 dosad. Prošlog tjedna Agencija za zdravstvenu sigurnost Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva objavila je da uobičajeni virusi koji uzrokuju hepatitis (hepatitis A do E) nisu otkriveni kod slučajeva u Velikoj Britaniji. Stoga istraživači traže druge moguće uzroke i vjeruju da bi to mogao biti uobičajeni adenovirus. Adenovirusi su obitelj virusa koji obično uzrokuju niz blažih bolesti kao što su prehlada, povraćanje i proljev.

Međutim, navodi se da se istražuju i drugi mogući uzroci bolesti, a nije isključen ni COVID-19. Dodaje se, međutim, da nema vidljive veze ove pojave hepatitisa kod djece i cijepljenja protiv COVID-a 19.

Što je hepatitis?

Hepatitis je širok pojam koji se koristi za upale jetre. Obično je posljedica virusne infekcije, a može biti uzrokovan i izloženošću nekim kemikalijama, konzumiranjem previše alkohola, droga i određenim genetskim poremećajima.

Postoji pet glavnih tipova hepatitisa uzrokovanih specifičnim virusima – poznatim kao A, B, C, D i E – ali čini se da nijedan od njih nije prouzročio upalu jetre koja sada viđena kod ove djece. Neke vrste hepatitisa mogu proći bez ozbiljnih problema, dok druge mogu biti dugotrajne.

Zdravstveni dužnosnici kažu da upravo istražuju neobjašnjive slučajeve hepatitisa kod djece u četiri europske zemlje i SAD-u – javlja BBC.

Slučajevi hepatitisa, odnosno upale jetre, prijavljeni su u Danskoj, Irskoj, Nizozemskoj, Španjolskoj i Americi, kažu zdravstveni dužnosnici.

Prošlog tjedna britanske zdravstvene vlasti rekle su da su među djecom otkrile više slučajeva te bolesti nego što je uobičajeno. Uzrok tome još nije poznat. Europski centar za kontrolu bolesti (ECDC) nije precizirao koliko je slučajeva ukupno utvrđeno u četiri europske zemlje. No, Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija (WHO) rekla je da je manje od pet dijagnosticirano u Irskoj, a tri u Španjolskoj. Dodali su da će se u narednim danima vjerojatno otkriti još slučajeva. Istrage o uzroku bolesti su u tijeku u svim europskim zemljama u kojima su prijavljeni slučajevi, priopćio je ECDC.

U SAD-u, Odjel za javno zdravstvo Alabame priopćio je da je devet slučajeva pronađeno kod djece u dobi od jedne do šest godina, pri čemu je dvoma od njih potrebna transplantacija jetre. Istrage o sličnim slučajevima u drugim državama se vode, dodaje se.

U Velikoj Britaniji je prijavljen dalek najveći broj slučajeva – ukupno 74 dosad. Prošlog tjedna Agencija za zdravstvenu sigurnost Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva objavila je da uobičajeni virusi koji uzrokuju hepatitis (hepatitis A do E) nisu otkriveni kod slučajeva u Velikoj Britaniji. Stoga istraživači traže druge moguće uzroke i vjeruju da bi to mogao biti uobičajeni adenovirus. Adenovirusi su obitelj virusa koji obično uzrokuju niz blažih bolesti kao što su prehlada, povraćanje i proljev.

Međutim, navodi se da se istražuju i drugi mogući uzroci bolesti, a nije isključen ni COVID-19. Dodaje se, međutim, da nema vidljive veze ove pojave hepatitisa kod djece i cijepljenja protiv COVID-a 19.

Što je hepatitis?

Hepatitis je širok pojam koji se koristi za upale jetre. Obično je posljedica virusne infekcije, a može biti uzrokovan i izloženošću nekim kemikalijama, konzumiranjem previše alkohola, droga i određenim genetskim poremećajima.

Postoji pet glavnih tipova hepatitisa uzrokovanih specifičnim virusima – poznatim kao A, B, C, D i E – ali čini se da nijedan od njih nije prouzročio upalu jetre koja sada viđena kod ove djece. Neke vrste hepatitisa mogu proći bez ozbiljnih problema, dok druge mogu biti dugotrajne.

Zdravstveni dužnosnici kažu da upravo istražuju neobjašnjive slučajeve hepatitisa kod djece u četiri europske zemlje i SAD-u – javlja BBC.

Slučajevi hepatitisa, odnosno upale jetre, prijavljeni su u Danskoj, Irskoj, Nizozemskoj, Španjolskoj i Americi, kažu zdravstveni dužnosnici.

Prošlog tjedna britanske zdravstvene vlasti rekle su da su među djecom otkrile više slučajeva te bolesti nego što je uobičajeno. Uzrok tome još nije poznat. Europski centar za kontrolu bolesti (ECDC) nije precizirao koliko je slučajeva ukupno utvrđeno u četiri europske zemlje. No, Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija (WHO) rekla je da je manje od pet dijagnosticirano u Irskoj, a tri u Španjolskoj. Dodali su da će se u narednim danima vjerojatno otkriti još slučajeva.
