Širenje nove, potencijalno vrlo opasne varijante koronavirusa na jugu Afrike izazvalo je međunarodnu zabrinutost. Stručnjaci strahuju da je varijanta, nazvana "omicron" ne samo vrlo zarazna zbog neobično velikog broja mutacija, već bi također mogla lakše prodrijeti u zaštitni štit cjepiva, piše Deutsche Welle.

Južnoafrički institut za zarazne bolesti NICD objavio je da su prva 22 slučaja nove varijante otkrivena u Južnoj Africi. Za očekivati ​​je više slučajeva tokom analiza genoma koje se trenutno provode. "Iako je situacija s podacima još uvijek ograničena, naši stručnjaci rade prekovremeno sa svim sustavima praćenja kako bi razumjeli novu varijantu i moguće implikacije povezane s njom", navodi se. Odjednom opet mnogo novih infekcija

Južnoafrički ministar zdravstva Joe Phaahla opisao je varijantu kao "ozbiljno zabrinjavajuću" i kao uzrok "eksponencijalnog" povećanja prijavljenih slučajeva u Južnoj Africi. Bilo je, rekao je on, upadljivo koliko je broj infekcija porastao posljednjih dana - nakon mjeseci s vrlo malo pozitivnih testova. Porast je, prema njegovim riječima, uglavnom zabilježen u Pretoriji, Johannesburgu i Ekuhurleniju. On je pozvao Južnoafrikance da nose maske i da se cijepe.

Broj zaraženih u Južnoj Africi u srijedu je porastao na više od 1.200. Početkom mjeseca ponekad je bilo samo oko 100 novih infekcija. Beta varijanta virusa otkrivena je u Južnoj Africi prošle godine. S oko 2,95 milijuna slučajeva korone i više od 89.600 smrtnih slučajeva, ovo je najteže pogođena zemlja na afričkom kontinentu.

Najmanje deset mutacija

Znanstvenici upućuju na to da nova varijanta ima najmanje deset mutacija, drugi govore i do 32. Posljedice za putnike

Usljed zabrinutost zbog širenja nove varijante više zemalja, uključujući sve članice EU, je ograničilo zračni promet s Južnom Afrikom i još nekoliko afričkih zemalja, piše Deutsche Welle.

Njemačka vlada je proglasila Južnu Afriku područjem „virusnih mutacija" i donijela odluku o ograničavanju prometa koja stupa na snagu večeras. „Aviokompanije smiju samo još prevesti njemačke građane u Njemačku", izjavio je ministar zdravstva Jens Spahn. Prema njegovim riječima ovom odlukom su pogođene i zemlje susjedi Južne Afrike. „Ova novootkrivena varijanta nas zabrinjava. Stoga ovdje djelujemo proaktivno i pravovremeno. Posljednje što nam još treba jest uvezena nova varijanta koja pravi još više problema", rekao je Spahn.

Prethodno je i Izrael zbog zabrinutosti zbog nove varijante virusa Južnu Afriku, Lesoto, Bocvanu, Zimbabve, Mozambik, Namibiju i Esvatini svrstao u "crvene zemlje". Stranci iz ovih zemalja više ne smiju ući u Izrael. Izraelci koji se vraćaju iz ovih zemalja moraju biti u karanteni 14 dana u hotelu predviđenom za to. Međutim, nakon sedam dana mogu prekinuti karantenu ukoliko dva PCR testa budu negativna.

U Izraelu, neovisno od nove varijante iz Afrike, strahuju da se zemlja nalazi pred novim valom infekcije. To je u svakom slučaju procjena nacionalonalnog povjerenika za koronu Salmana Sarka. Prema njegovom mišljenju, posljednji porast novih infekcija dolazi „prerano i prebrzo".

I Velika Britanija ograničava promet s Južnom Afrikom

I Vlada Velike Britanije također ograničava zračni promet iz Južne Afrike, Lesota, Bocvane, Zimbabvea, Esvatinija i Namibije. On će biti obustavljen u petak poslijepodne, saznaje se u Londonu. Putnici koji do tada stignu u Veliku Britaniju iz jedne od ovih zemalja moraju u karantenu i napraviti PCR test drugi i osmi dan od dolaska. Svi putnici koji su došli iz ovih zemalja u proteklih deset dana pozvani da se izoliraju i testiraju.

Do sada u Velikoj Britaniji nije identificiran nijedan slučaj s novom varijantom. No, prema novinskoj agenciji PA, do 700 ljudi samo iz Južne Afrike stiže u zemlju svaki dan. Još veći broj očekuje se za vrijeme božićnih blagdana.

I Japan i Singapur su uveli pooštrene kontrole za putnike iz Južne Afrike i drugih afričkih zemalja. Indijsko ministarstvo zdravstva priopćilo je da međunarodni putnici iz Južne Afrike i drugih zemalja trebaju biti konzekventno testirani i pregledani.

U Brazilu smanjena indicencija

Južnoafrički institut za zarazne bolesti NICD objavio je da su prva 22 slučaja nove varijante otkrivena u Južnoj Africi. Za očekivati ​​je više slučajeva tokom analiza genoma koje se trenutno provode. "Iako je situacija s podacima još uvijek ograničena, naši stručnjaci rade prekovremeno sa svim sustavima praćenja kako bi razumjeli novu varijantu i moguće implikacije povezane s njom", navodi se. Slučajevi su također potvrđeni u Bocvani i Hong Kongu - prenosi Jutarnji list.

Odjednom opet mnogo novih infekcija

Južnoafrički ministar zdravstva Joe Phaahla opisao je varijantu kao "ozbiljno zabrinjavajuću" i kao uzrok "eksponencijalnog" povećanja prijavljenih slučajeva u Južnoj Africi. Bilo je, rekao je on, upadljivo koliko je broj infekcija porastao posljednjih dana - nakon mjeseci s vrlo malo pozitivnih testova. Porast je, prema njegovim riječima, uglavnom zabilježen u Pretoriji, Johannesburgu i Ekuhurleniju. On je pozvao Južnoafrikance da nose maske i da se cijepe.

Broj zaraženih u Južnoj Africi u srijedu je porastao na više od 1.200. Početkom mjeseca ponekad je bilo samo oko 100 novih infekcija. Beta varijanta virusa otkrivena je u Južnoj Africi prošle godine. S oko 2,95 milijuna slučajeva korone i više od 89.600 smrtnih slučajeva, ovo je najteže pogođena zemlja na afričkom kontinentu.

Najmanje deset mutacija

Znanstvenici upućuju na to da nova varijanta ima najmanje deset mutacija, drugi govore i do 32. Za usporedbu: kada je riječ o delta varijanti tu postoje samo dvije varijante, a kod bete tri varijante. Richard Lessels s Instituta KRISP rekao je kako postoje znakovi da se nova varijanta širi brže od delte te da bi to također moglo dodatno opteretiti ljudski imunološki sustav. Sljedeći dani i tjedni su, rekao je Lessels, ključni za dobivanje više informacija. Do sada se varijanta širila uglavnom među mladima, tvrde stručnjaci.

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija (WHO) priopćila je da "pomno" prati novu varijantu, koju su nazvali omikron, i označili kao "zabrinjavajuću".

Posljedice za putnike

Usljed zabrinutost zbog širenja nove varijante više zemalja, uključujući sve članice EU, je ograničilo zračni promet s Južnom Afrikom i još nekoliko afričkih zemalja, piše Deutsche Welle.

Njemačka vlada je proglasila Južnu Afriku područjem „virusnih mutacija" i donijela odluku o ograničavanju prometa koja stupa na snagu večeras. „Aviokompanije smiju samo još prevesti njemačke građane u Njemačku", izjavio je ministar zdravstva Jens Spahn. Prema njegovim riječima ovom odlukom su pogođene i zemlje susjedi Južne Afrike. „Ova novootkrivena varijanta nas zabrinjava. Stoga ovdje djelujemo proaktivno i pravovremeno. Posljednje što nam još treba jest uvezena nova varijanta koja pravi još više problema", rekao je Spahn.

Prethodno je i Izrael zbog zabrinutosti zbog nove varijante virusa Južnu Afriku, Lesoto, Bocvanu, Zimbabve, Mozambik, Namibiju i Esvatini svrstao u "crvene zemlje". Stranci iz ovih zemalja više ne smiju ući u Izrael. Izraelci koji se vraćaju iz ovih zemalja moraju biti u karanteni 14 dana u hotelu predviđenom za to. Međutim, nakon sedam dana mogu prekinuti karantenu ukoliko dva PCR testa budu negativna.

U Izraelu, neovisno od nove varijante iz Afrike, strahuju da se zemlja nalazi pred novim valom infekcije. To je u svakom slučaju procjena nacionalonalnog povjerenika za koronu Salmana Sarka. Prema njegovom mišljenju, posljednji porast novih infekcija dolazi „prerano i prebrzo".

Izrael je u rujnu s više od 11.000 novih slučajeva bio na vrhuncu pandemije. Zahvaljujući trećoj dozi cjepiva broj infekcija je ponovo smanjen na u prosjeku 400 dnevno. Četvrti val korone je slovio kao prevladan.

Stručnjaci novi porast broja slučajeva objašnjavaju, prema navodima medija, između ostalog i padom imuniteta više od milijun Izraelaca koji su primili drugu dozu cjepiva prije više od šest mjeseci. Izrael je inače bio prva zemlja na svijetu koja je krajem srpnja započela kampanju davanja treće doze.

I Velika Britanija ograničava promet s Južnom Afrikom

I Vlada Velike Britanije također ograničava zračni promet iz Južne Afrike, Lesota, Bocvane, Zimbabvea, Esvatinija i Namibije. On će biti obustavljen u petak poslijepodne, saznaje se u Londonu. Putnici koji do tada stignu u Veliku Britaniju iz jedne od ovih zemalja moraju u karantenu i napraviti PCR test drugi i osmi dan od dolaska. Svi putnici koji su došli iz ovih zemalja u proteklih deset dana pozvani da se izoliraju i testiraju.

Do sada u Velikoj Britaniji nije identificiran nijedan slučaj s novom varijantom. No, prema novinskoj agenciji PA, do 700 ljudi samo iz Južne Afrike stiže u zemlju svaki dan. Još veći broj očekuje se za vrijeme božićnih blagdana.

I Japan i Singapur su uveli pooštrene kontrole za putnike iz Južne Afrike i drugih afričkih zemalja. Indijsko ministarstvo zdravstva priopćilo je da međunarodni putnici iz Južne Afrike i drugih zemalja trebaju biti konzekventno testirani i pregledani.

U Brazilu smanjena indicencija

Istodobno iz Brazila, zemlje koja je bila jako pogođena koronavirusom, stižu pozitivnije vijesti.

Sedmodnevna incidencija u ovoj zemlji trenutno iznosi 30, na odjelima intenzivne njege u velikim gradovima nema nijednog pacijenta oboljelog od COVID-a 19. Najmanje jednom dozom je cijepljeno 76 posto građana.
