Tijekom prvih nekoliko godina života djeteta, mozak prolazi kroz najveće promjene, zbog čega treba posvetiti veliku pažnju mentalnom stimuliranju djeteta, piše Mamin kutak.

Upravo ona određuje njegove sposobnosti kasnije tijekom života. Kao dokaz ovome može poslužiti i činjenica da kod djece u sirotištima, kojima se ne posvećuje dovoljno pažnje i ne pokazuje ljubav (koju djeca odrasla u svojim obiteljima imaju i na pretek), uočeno puno neaktivnih područja u mozgu.

Stručnjake sada zanima: može li previše stimulacije biti jednako štetno? 

Liječnici iz Centra za razvoj, zdravlje i ponašanje djece u Seattleu zaključili su da pretjerana stimulacija djece u svom trenutno najčešćem obliku - pretjeranom gledanju u ekrane od najmanje dobi, uglavnom ima posljedice. Sve više djece gleda crtiće od jako rane dobi, a današnja djeca mlađa od tri godine provode znatno više vremena pred ekranima nego djeca ranijih generacija.

Najveći pokazatelj da je dijete u ranoj dobi previše gledala televiziju je manjak njegove pažnje koji se primijeti kada krene u školu. Svaki sat proveden pred ekranom dnevno, povećava rizik problema s koncentracijom u školskim kupama za 10%. 

Nije važno samo koliko, bitno je i što naša djeca gledaju. Programi koji ne doprinose stimulaciji i učenju djeteta nose više štete nego koristi. 

Victoria L. Dunckley, dječja psihijatrica, redovito se susreće s djecom koja pate od velikih preopterećenja senzora koji dovodi do lošeg sna ili čak kronične nesanice, pretjerane osjetljivosti živčanog sustava, impulzivnosti i blažih oblika depresije - a sve zbog pretjerane izloženosti ekranima. Ekrani su sastavni dio našeg živote te od velike količine vremena kojeg mi sami provedemo pred njima - ponekad nam je teško procijeniti može li naše dijete u budućnosti zbog toga imati velike probleme.

Ekrani ipak imaju i neke svoje prednosti. Ako imate na umu vrijeme koje provede pred ekranom i ako mu upalite nekakav koristan program, ekrani mogu biti od velike koristi djetetu i potaknuti njegov razvoj.

Ako vaše dijete odvedete na livadu okupanu suncem, malo je vjerojatno da će ono tražiti tablet. Istina, ne možete ga odgajati kao što su odgajali vas - ali dužni ste mu pokazati i poticati ga u aktivnostima na otvorenom. Osim smanjenog rizika od pretilosti, vrijeme vani potiče stvaranje novih prijateljstava, dobro je za imunitet i povezano je s većim osjećajem sreće.

Tijekom prvih nekoliko godina života djeteta, mozak prolazi kroz najveće promjene, zbog čega treba posvetiti veliku pažnju mentalnom stimuliranju djeteta, piše Mamin kutak.

Upravo ona određuje njegove sposobnosti kasnije tijekom života. Kao dokaz ovome može poslužiti i činjenica da kod djece u sirotištima, kojima se ne posvećuje dovoljno pažnje i ne pokazuje ljubav (koju djeca odrasla u svojim obiteljima imaju i na pretek), uočeno puno neaktivnih područja u mozgu.

Stručnjake sada zanima: može li previše stimulacije biti jednako štetno? 

Liječnici iz Centra za razvoj, zdravlje i ponašanje djece u Seattleu zaključili su da pretjerana stimulacija djece u svom trenutno najčešćem obliku - pretjeranom gledanju u ekrane od najmanje dobi, uglavnom ima posljedice. Sve više djece gleda crtiće od jako rane dobi, a današnja djeca mlađa od tri godine provode znatno više vremena pred ekranima nego djeca ranijih generacija.

Najveći pokazatelj da je dijete u ranoj dobi previše gledala televiziju je manjak njegove pažnje koji se primijeti kada krene u školu. Svaki sat proveden pred ekranom dnevno, povećava rizik problema s koncentracijom u školskim kupama za 10%. 

Nije važno samo koliko, bitno je i što naša djeca gledaju. Programi koji ne doprinose stimulaciji i učenju djeteta nose više štete nego koristi. 

Victoria L. Dunckley, dječja psihijatrica, redovito se susreće s djecom koja pate od velikih preopterećenja senzora koji dovodi do lošeg sna ili čak kronične nesanice, pretjerane osjetljivosti živčanog sustava, impulzivnosti i blažih oblika depresije - a sve zbog pretjerane izloženosti ekranima. Ekrani su sastavni dio našeg živote te od velike količine vremena kojeg mi sami provedemo pred njima - ponekad nam je teško procijeniti može li naše dijete u budućnosti zbog toga imati velike probleme.

Ekrani ipak imaju i neke svoje prednosti. Ako imate na umu vrijeme koje provede pred ekranom i ako mu upalite nekakav koristan program, ekrani mogu biti od velike koristi djetetu i potaknuti njegov razvoj.

Ako vaše dijete odvedete na livadu okupanu suncem, malo je vjerojatno da će ono tražiti tablet. Tijekom prvih nekoliko godina života djeteta, mozak prolazi kroz najveće promjene, zbog čega treba posvetiti veliku pažnju mentalnom stimuliranju djeteta, piše Mamin kutak.

Upravo ona određuje njegove sposobnosti kasnije tijekom života. Kao dokaz ovome može poslužiti i činjenica da kod djece u sirotištima, kojima se ne posvećuje dovoljno pažnje i ne pokazuje ljubav (koju djeca odrasla u svojim obiteljima imaju i na pretek), uočeno puno neaktivnih područja u mozgu.
