Globalno istraživanje, po kojemu je gotovo 60 posto mladih vrlo zabrinuto, pokazalo je dubinu tjeskobe među mladim ljudima u pogledu klimatskih promjena, prenosi britanska medijska kuća BBC.
Više od 45% ispitanika reklo je da su osjećaji vezani uz klimu utjecali na njihov svakodnevni život.
Tri četvrtine njih reklo je da misli da je budućnost zastrašujuća. Više od polovice (56%) misli da je čovječanstvo osuđeno na propast.
Dvije trećine je izjavilo da se osjeća tužno, uplašeno i tjeskobno. Mnogi su osjećali strah, bijes, očaj, tugu i sram - ali i nadu.
Jedan 16-godišnjak je rekao: "Za mlade je drukčije - za nas je uništavanje planeta osobno."
Istraživanje u 10 zemalja vodilo je sveučilište Bath u suradnji s pet sveučilišta. Financirala ga je kampanja i istraživačka grupa Avaaz. Tvrde da je najveći takve vrste, s odgovorima 10.000 ljudi u dobi od 16 do 25 godina.
Mnogi od ispitanika smatraju da nemaju budućnost, da je čovječanstvo osuđeno na propast i da vlade ne reagiraju na odgovarajući način.
Mnogi osjećaju da su ih političari i odrasli izdali, zanemarili i napustili.
Autori kažu da su mladi zbunjeni zbog nepostupanja vlada. Kažu da strahovi vezani uz okoliš "duboko utječu na ogroman broj mladih ljudi".
Kronični stres zbog klimatskih promjena, smatraju oni, povećava rizik od mentalnih i fizičkih problema. A ako se ozbiljne vremenske nepogode pogoršaju, uslijedit će posljedice na mentalno zdravlje.
U izvješću se kaže da su mladi ljudi posebno pogođeni klimatskim strahovima jer se oni događaju dok se razvijaju u psihološkom, društvenom i tjelesnom smislu.
Glavna autorica Caroline Hickman sa Sveučilišta Bath, rekla je za BBC News: "Ovo pokazuje da ekološka anksioznost nije samo zbog uništenja okoliša, već je neraskidivo povezana s nečinjenjem vlade u vezi s klimatskim promjenama. Mladi osjećaju da su ih vlade napustile i izdale".
"Ne mjerimo samo kako se osjećaju, već i što misle. Četvero od deset oklijeva imati potomstvo".
Autori izvješća, koje će biti objavljeno u časopisu Lancet Planetary Health, kažu da su razine tjeskobe najveće u zemljama u kojima se vladina klimatska politika smatra najslabijom.
Najviše je zabrinutosti bilo na jugu. Najzabrinutija bogata nacija bila je Portugal koji je više puta pogođen velikim požarima.
Tom Burke iz think tanka e3g rekao je za BBC News: "Racionalno je da mladi ljudi budu zabrinuti. Oni ne čitaju samo o klimatskim promjenama u medijima - gledaju ih kako se odvijaju pred njihovim očima."
Autori vjeruju da se neuspjeh vlada u borbi protiv klimatskih promjena, prema zakonima o ljudskim pravima, može definirati kao okrutnost. Šest mladih ljudi već je tužilo portugalsku vladu kako bi to dokazalo.
Istraživanje je provela tvrtka za analizu podataka Kantar u Velikoj Britaniji, Finskoj, Francuskoj, SAD -u, Australiji, Portugalu, Brazilu, Indiji, Filipinima i Nigeriji.
Prema rezultatima 83 posto mladih smatra da se čovječanstvo ne brine za planet, 75 posto smatra da je budućnost zastrašujuća, a 65 posto smatra da su vlasti iznevjerile mlade.
Znanstvenici kažu da su bili potreseni razmjerima tjeskobe.
Jedna je mlada osoba rekla: "Ne želim umrijeti, ali ne želim ni živjeti u svijetu kojemu nije stalo do djece i životinja".

Globalno istraživanje, po kojemu je gotovo 60 posto mladih vrlo zabrinuto, pokazalo je dubinu tjeskobe među mladim ljudima u pogledu klimatskih promjena, prenosi britanska medijska kuća BBC.
Više od 45% ispitanika reklo je da su osjećaji vezani uz klimu utjecali na njihov svakodnevni život.
Tri četvrtine njih reklo je da misli da je budućnost zastrašujuća. Više od polovice (56%) misli da je čovječanstvo osuđeno na propast.
Dvije trećine je izjavilo da se osjeća tužno, uplašeno i tjeskobno. Mnogi su osjećali strah, bijes, očaj, tugu i sram - ali i nadu.
Jedan 16-godišnjak je rekao: "Za mlade je drukčije - za nas je uništavanje planeta osobno."
Istraživanje u 10 zemalja vodilo je sveučilište Bath u suradnji s pet sveučilišta. Financirala ga je kampanja i istraživačka grupa Avaaz. Tvrde da je najveći takve vrste, s odgovorima 10.000 ljudi u dobi od 16 do 25 godina.
Mnogi od ispitanika smatraju da nemaju budućnost, da je čovječanstvo osuđeno na propast i da vlade ne reagiraju na odgovarajući način.
Mnogi osjećaju da su ih političari i odrasli izdali, zanemarili i napustili.
Autori kažu da su mladi zbunjeni zbog nepostupanja vlada. Kažu da strahovi vezani uz okoliš "duboko utječu na ogroman broj mladih ljudi".
Kronični stres zbog klimatskih promjena, smatraju oni, povećava rizik od mentalnih i fizičkih problema. A ako se ozbiljne vremenske nepogode pogoršaju, uslijedit će posljedice na mentalno zdravlje.
U izvješću se kaže da su mladi ljudi posebno pogođeni klimatskim strahovima jer se oni događaju dok se razvijaju u psihološkom, društvenom i tjelesnom smislu.
Glavna autorica Caroline Hickman sa Sveučilišta Bath, rekla je za BBC News: "Ovo pokazuje da ekološka anksioznost nije samo zbog uništenja okoliša, već je neraskidivo povezana s nečinjenjem vlade u vezi s klimatskim promjenama. Mladi osjećaju da su ih vlade napustile i izdale".
"Ne mjerimo samo kako se osjećaju, već i što misle. Četvero od deset oklijeva imati potomstvo".
Autori izvješća, koje će biti objavljeno u časopisu Lancet Planetary Health, kažu da su razine tjeskobe najveće u zemljama u kojima se vladina klimatska politika smatra najslabijom.
Najviše je zabrinutosti bilo na jugu. Najzabrinutija bogata nacija bila je Portugal koji je više puta pogođen velikim požarima.
Tom Burke iz think tanka e3g rekao je za BBC News: "Racionalno je da mladi ljudi budu zabrinuti. Oni ne čitaju samo o klimatskim promjenama u medijima - gledaju ih kako se odvijaju pred njihovim očima."
Autori vjeruju da se neuspjeh vlada u borbi protiv klimatskih promjena, prema zakonima o ljudskim pravima, može definirati kao okrutnost. Šest mladih ljudi već je tužilo portugalsku vladu kako bi to dokazalo.
Istraživanje je provela tvrtka za analizu podataka Kantar u Velikoj Britaniji, Finskoj, Francuskoj, SAD -u, Australiji, Portugalu, Brazilu, Indiji, Filipinima i Nigeriji.
Prema rezultatima 83 posto mladih smatra da se čovječanstvo ne brine za planet, 75 posto smatra da je budućnost zastrašujuća, a 65 posto smatra da su vlasti iznevjerile mlade.
Znanstvenici kažu da su bili potreseni razmjerima tjeskobe.
Jedna je mlada osoba rekla: "Ne želim umrijeti, ali ne želim ni živjeti u svijetu kojemu nije stalo do djece i životinja".
