Jedna od mnogih širokougaonih kamera koje proučavaju noćno nebo uočila je komet dok je prolazio pored Jupitera i približavao se Zemlji prošlog ožujka. Iako se ovaj uvod može činiti kao trailer za apokaliptični film, istina je da će proći pored našeg planeta negdje oko 1. veljače i nastaviti svoj put, piše nationalgeographic.rs.

NASA-ini stručnjaci predviđaju da će C/2022 E3 ZTF proći pored nas na udaljenosti od 42 milijuna kilometara, što znači da će ga na nebu golim okom ili dalekozorom moći uočiti svatko tko to želi.

Jedna od mnogih širokougaonih kamera koje proučavaju noćno nebo uočila je komet dok je prolazio pored Jupitera i približavao se Zemlji prošlog ožujka. Iako se ovaj uvod može činiti kao trailer za apokaliptični film, istina je da će proći pored našeg planeta negdje oko 1. veljače i nastaviti svoj put, piše nationalgeographic.rs.

NASA-ini stručnjaci predviđaju da će C/2022 E3 ZTF proći pored nas na udaljenosti od 42 milijuna kilometara, što znači da će ga na nebu golim okom ili dalekozorom moći uočiti svatko tko to želi.

“Sastavljen od leda i prašine, ovaj komet emitira zelenkastu svjetlost, a procjenjuje se da ima promjer od oko jednog kilometra”, objasnio je astrofizičar Nicolas Biver s Pariške zvjezdarnice.

No, ono što bi moglo otežati promatranje je činjenica da će Mjesec tada biti u svojoj "punijoj" fazi. Stoga Beaver i njegovi kolege preporučuju da bilo tko na sjevernoj hemisferi potraži C/2022 E3 ZTF na nebu između Malog i Velikog medvjeda tijekom posljednjeg vikenda u siječnju.

Pretpostavka je da potječe iz Oortova oblaka na vanjskoj granici Sunčevog sustava, za koji se vjeruje da je izvor dugoperiodičnih kometa, kao i kometa tipa Halley i Jupiter, kao i mnogih kentaura poznatih po svojoj dinamici i nestabilne putanje.

Najzanimljiviji podatak vezan uz nju je da je posljednji put prošla pokraj Zemlje tijekom paleolitika te da njezin sljedeći posjet možemo očekivati ​​za 50-ak tisuća godina. Ipak, Bivera ne isključuje mogućnost da nakon njega C/2022 E3 ZTF bude trajno izbačen iz Sunčevog sustava.

Kretanje C/2022 E3 ZTF sljedećih će tjedana pomno pratiti i svemirski teleskop James Webb, no znanstvenici ističu da ovaj put neće snimati fotografije, već samo proučavati njegov sastav, piše nationalgeographic.rs.

Jedna od mnogih širokougaonih kamera koje proučavaju noćno nebo uočila je komet dok je prolazio pored Jupitera i približavao se Zemlji prošlog ožujka. Iako se ovaj uvod može činiti kao trailer za apokaliptični film, istina je da će proći pored našeg planeta negdje oko 1. veljače i nastaviti svoj put, piše nationalgeographic.rs.

NASA-ini stručnjaci predviđaju da će C/2022 E3 ZTF proći pored nas na udaljenosti od 42 milijuna kilometara, što znači da će ga na nebu golim okom ili dalekozorom moći uočiti svatko tko to želi.

“Sastavljen od leda i prašine, ovaj komet emitira zelenkastu svjetlost, a procjenjuje se da ima promjer od oko jednog kilometra”, objasnio je astrofizičar Nicolas Biver s Pariške zvjezdarnice.
