Koliko vam se puta dogodilo da ste u dućanu ili na tržnici i želite kupiti avokado, ali pred vama niti jedan koji je spreman za jelo? Vjerujemo da ste pritom prepipali cijelu ponudu, da biste na kraju posegnuli za još jednim plastičnim pakiranjem koje nosi natpisi “ready to eat” i izdvojili za njega gotovo dvostruko više od planiranog. Bilo da želite raditi avokado tost i njime nahraniti milenijalca u sebi, ili se spremate za druženje pa želite spremiti guacamole ili ukusnu salatu, postoji nekoliko korisnih trikova kako nabaviti ovu voćku, pripremiti je za jelo i skladištiti, piše Dobra hrana.

U DUĆANU

Kada ste u dućanu, nije baš uputno stisnuti svaki izloženi avokado kako biste otkrili onaj jedan idealni jer tako zapravo oštećujete plodove koje na kraju ipak nećete kupiti. Na tržnici će prodavači brzo podviknuti na vas da se proizvodi ne pipkaju pa budite fer i suzdržite se i kad ste u supermarketu. Većina ponude će biti nezrela kako bi mogla što dulje stajati. Kada uzmete odabrani avokado u dlan, tek ga blago stisnite. Ako se tek neznatno koža utisne, taj će avokado biti dobar za rezanje. Drugi način kako provjeriti je li avokado zreo je da prstom pomaknete peteljku.

Ako je čvrsta, plod još nije sasvim dozrio, a ako otpadne i ispod je lijepa zelena boja, spreman je za korištenje. Ako već sad vidite naznake smeđe boje na mjestu peteljke, velike su šanse da je avokado već prezreo. Male voćke s tamnijom korom, koje najčešće pakiraju pod etiketom “spremno za jelo” većinom su mekše pa ih možete zdrobiti u guacamole po želji. Ako vidite da je voćka već blago smežurana i premekana te je kora tamno smeđa i gotovo crna, radije preskočite jer je to znak da zrenje otišlo predaleko.

KOD KUĆE

Najčešće iz dućana ipak dođemo s još nedovoljno zrelim avokadom, kojem ponekad treba od četiri do sedam dana da sazre kod kuće pa planirajte kupovinu na vrijeme. U slučaju da vam treba od danas do sutra, možete pokušati ubrzati njegovo zrenje. Svakako bi dobro bilo da imate smeđu papirnu vrećicu, kakvu najčešće dobijete u pekarnici, te da u nju ubacite nezreli avokado sa zrelom bananom ili jabukom, zatvorite vrećicu i ostavite je na kuhinjskom pultu na sobnoj temperaturi dan ili čak dva. Zašto to pomaže? Kako banana zrije, tako prirodno ispušta kemijski spoji etilen, koji ćete prepoznati po slatkastom mirisu prezrelog voća. On ubrzava zrenje okolnih voćki pa može pomoći i kod avokada. Pripazite samo da voće ne stavljate u plastičnu vrećicu jer će ona sakupiti i previše vlage, što može dovesti do razvitka plijesni.

A ŠTO AKO MI JE AVOKADO PRERANO SAZREO?

Vaša je fešta tek za vikend, a vama je kuhinja puna zrelih avokada koje bi trebalo jesti sada? Spremite ih u hladnjak cijele, u dobro zatvorenoj posudi ili pak u nižim dijelovima hladnjaka kako biste spriječili njihovo isušivanje. Ako ste ih već narezali, premažite ih s malo soka od limuna kako biste spriječili promjenu boje te ih spremite u posudu.

Ako je moguće, ne vadite košticu van, a ako ste avokado samo razrezali na pola, premažite polovice sokom i vratite ih u prvobitni oblik odnosno “sastavite ga” natrag. Svakako biste ga trebali pojesti u idućih dan ili dva prije nego krene oksidacija i njegovo kvarenje. Nedavno smo naišli na savjet da se cijeli avokado stavi u vodu kako bi se usporilo zrenje, no to nije preporučljivo jer može doći do razmnožavanja bakterija, kao što je primjerice listerija, u vodi u kojoj taj avokado stoji, piše Dobra hrana.

Koliko vam se puta dogodilo da ste u dućanu ili na tržnici i želite kupiti avokado, ali pred vama niti jedan koji je spreman za jelo? Vjerujemo da ste pritom prepipali cijelu ponudu, da biste na kraju posegnuli za još jednim plastičnim pakiranjem koje nosi natpisi “ready to eat” i izdvojili za njega gotovo dvostruko više od planiranog. Bilo da želite raditi avokado tost i njime nahraniti milenijalca u sebi, ili se spremate za druženje pa želite spremiti guacamole ili ukusnu salatu, postoji nekoliko korisnih trikova kako nabaviti ovu voćku, pripremiti je za jelo i skladištiti, piše Dobra hrana.

U DUĆANU

Kada ste u dućanu, nije baš uputno stisnuti svaki izloženi avokado kako biste otkrili onaj jedan idealni jer tako zapravo oštećujete plodove koje na kraju ipak nećete kupiti. Na tržnici će prodavači brzo podviknuti na vas da se proizvodi ne pipkaju pa budite fer i suzdržite se i kad ste u supermarketu. Većina ponude će biti nezrela kako bi mogla što dulje stajati. Kada uzmete odabrani avokado u dlan, tek ga blago stisnite. Ako se tek neznatno koža utisne, taj će avokado biti dobar za rezanje. Drugi način kako provjeriti je li avokado zreo je da prstom pomaknete peteljku.

Ako je čvrsta, plod još nije sasvim dozrio, a ako otpadne i ispod je lijepa zelena boja, spreman je za korištenje. Ako već sad vidite naznake smeđe boje na mjestu peteljke, velike su šanse da je avokado već prezreo. Male voćke s tamnijom korom, koje najčešće pakiraju pod etiketom “spremno za jelo” većinom su mekše pa ih možete zdrobiti u guacamole po želji. Ako vidite da je voćka već blago smežurana i premekana te je kora tamno smeđa i gotovo crna, radije preskočite jer je to znak da zrenje otišlo predaleko.

KOD KUĆE

Najčešće iz dućana ipak dođemo s još nedovoljno zrelim avokadom, kojem ponekad treba od četiri do sedam dana da sazre kod kuće pa planirajte kupovinu na vrijeme. U slučaju da vam treba od danas do sutra, možete pokušati ubrzati njegovo zrenje. Svakako bi dobro bilo da imate smeđu papirnu vrećicu, kakvu najčešće dobijete u pekarnici, te da u nju ubacite nezreli avokado sa zrelom bananom ili jabukom, zatvorite vrećicu i ostavite je na kuhinjskom pultu na sobnoj temperaturi dan ili čak dva. Zašto to pomaže? Kako banana zrije, tako prirodno ispušta kemijski spoji etilen, koji ćete prepoznati po slatkastom mirisu prezrelog voća. On ubrzava zrenje okolnih voćki pa može pomoći i kod avokada. Pripazite samo da voće ne stavljate u plastičnu vrećicu jer će ona sakupiti i previše vlage, što može dovesti do razvitka plijesni.

A ŠTO AKO MI JE AVOKADO PRERANO SAZREO?

Vaša je fešta tek za vikend, a vama je kuhinja puna zrelih avokada koje bi trebalo jesti sada? Spremite ih u hladnjak cijele, u dobro zatvorenoj posudi ili pak u nižim dijelovima hladnjaka kako biste spriječili njihovo isušivanje. Ako ste ih već narezali, premažite ih s malo soka od limuna kako biste spriječili promjenu boje te ih spremite u posudu.

Ako je moguće, ne vadite košticu van, a ako ste avokado samo razrezali na pola, premažite polovice sokom i vratite ih u prvobitni oblik odnosno “sastavite ga” natrag. Svakako biste ga trebali pojesti u idućih dan ili dva prije nego krene oksidacija i njegovo kvarenje. Nedavno smo naišli na savjet da se cijeli avokado stavi u vodu kako bi se usporilo zrenje, no to nije preporučljivo jer može doći do razmnožavanja bakterija, kao što je primjerice listerija, u vodi u kojoj taj avokado stoji, piše Dobra hrana.
