Šezdeset godina nakon što je zaživio, maleni komunistički istočnonjemački automobil Trabant 601, koji se proslavio u vrijeme pada Berlinskog zida, traženi je oldtimer, a cijena mu brzo raste.
“Prosječna cijena dobro očuvanog Trabanta 601 porasla je na oko 7300 eura,” rekao je stručnjak Gerd Heinemann iz njemačke tvrtke BBE Automotive, “i vrijednost mu samo raste”.
Nevjerojatan je to obrat za krhak automobil koji je nekoć bio globalni predmet podsmijeha zbog slabašnog dvotaktnog motora i oblaka smrdljivih ispušnih plinova iza sebe.
Trabant 601 postao je ikona 1989. godine kad su se stotine automobila počele kotrljati preko granice između tadašnje Istočne i Zapadne Njemačke.
No mnoge druge ljubitelje automobila teško će oduševiti trabantove 23 konjske snage, njegovo zračno hlađenje,‘vrtoglava‘ maksimalna brzina od 100 km/h i karoserija od plastike.

Privlačnost mu zato leži u dva velika, okrugla prednja svjetla koja mu daju simpatičan izgled kao u crtanim filmovima.
U komunističkoj Istočnoj Njemačkoj nedostajalo je metala pa su proizvođači trabanta karoserije radili od tvrde plastike, duroplasta, koji je sličan bakelitu.
Početkom ožujka 1964. tvornica automobila VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke prvi je put međunarodnoj javnosti predstavila Trabant 601 na proljetnom sajmu u Leipzigu.
Bila je to modernija verzija trabanta koji je prvi put sišao s proizvodne trake 1957. godine.
Trabbi 601 prodan je u više od 2,8 milijuna primjeraka i proizvodio se sve do 1991. U tipičnoj pastelno plavoj, polarno bijeloj ili zelenoj boji mogao se vidjeti u akciji od istočnog Berlina do sjevernog otoka Rügena.
Broj im raste
Brojke njemačkog autokluba pokazuju da broj registriranih Trabanta 601 raste već otprilike 10 godina.
U 2014. bilo ih nešto više od 32 tisuće, a lani je premašena brojka od 40 tisuća. Četiri petine ih je na istoku zemlje.

Za to što u Njemačkoj ima sve više trabanata zaslužan je ponovni uvoz, objašnjava stručnjak Heinemann. Mnogi su automobili vraćeni iz bivših komunističkih zemalja poput Poljske i Mađarske, gdje su nekoć također bili česti.
Danas se najviše sviđa ‘uradi sam‘ mehaničarima i onima koji su nostalgični za danima jednostavnije vožnje. Auto se može lako popraviti pa je dobar set alata dovoljan za sve što se pokvari.
No ne dijele svi entuzijazam ljubitelja Trabanta. Njemačka ekološka organizacija Deutsche Umwelthilfe zabrinuta je zbog ispušnih plinova dvotaktnih motora. Automobil radi na ekološki neprikladnu mješavinu ulja i benzina i, naravno, nema katalizator za izgaranje štetnih emisija.
Glavni problemi su nepotpuno sagorjeli ugljikovodici i ugljikov monoksid. "Pozivamo na zabranu vožnje starih i novih vozila bez učinkovitog pročišćivanja ispušnih plinova", stoji u priopćenju organizacije.
Povijesno vozilo
No trabanti i drugi klasični automobili registrirani su kao povijesna vozila pa mogu voziti u zonama niske emisije u velikim gradovima gdje inače vrijede strogi propisi o čistoći zraka.
To nije opravdano, "jer pridonose onečišćenju zraka, a time i opasnostima po zdravlje", tvrdi Deutsche Umwelthilfe.
A u međuvremenu se mnoštvo trabanata redovito vidi na ulicama Berlina gdje ih tvrtka za najam nedaleko od bivšega graničnog prijelaza Checkpoint Charlie iznajmljuje turistima.
Prisjećanje je to na one slavne dane ponovnog ujedinjenja Njemačke u studenome 1989. kada su automobili i njihovi zapanjeni vlasnici bili srdačno dočekani diljem zapadne Njemačke. Berlinski zid se rušio usred oblaka oštrog dima koji je izlazio iz ispušne cijevi tanke poput prsta.

Šezdeset godina nakon što je zaživio, maleni komunistički istočnonjemački automobil Trabant 601, koji se proslavio u vrijeme pada Berlinskog zida, traženi je oldtimer, a cijena mu brzo raste.
“Prosječna cijena dobro očuvanog Trabanta 601 porasla je na oko 7300 eura,” rekao je stručnjak Gerd Heinemann iz njemačke tvrtke BBE Automotive, “i vrijednost mu samo raste”.
Nevjerojatan je to obrat za krhak automobil koji je nekoć bio globalni predmet podsmijeha zbog slabašnog dvotaktnog motora i oblaka smrdljivih ispušnih plinova iza sebe.
Trabant 601 postao je ikona 1989. godine kad su se stotine automobila počele kotrljati preko granice između tadašnje Istočne i Zapadne Njemačke.
No mnoge druge ljubitelje automobila teško će oduševiti trabantove 23 konjske snage, njegovo zračno hlađenje,‘vrtoglava‘ maksimalna brzina od 100 km/h i karoserija od plastike.

Privlačnost mu zato leži u dva velika, okrugla prednja svjetla koja mu daju simpatičan izgled kao u crtanim filmovima.
U komunističkoj Istočnoj Njemačkoj nedostajalo je metala pa su proizvođači trabanta karoserije radili od tvrde plastike, duroplasta, koji je sličan bakelitu.
Početkom ožujka 1964. tvornica automobila VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke prvi je put međunarodnoj javnosti predstavila Trabant 601 na proljetnom sajmu u Leipzigu.
Bila je to modernija verzija trabanta koji je prvi put sišao s proizvodne trake 1957. godine.
Trabbi 601 prodan je u više od 2,8 milijuna primjeraka i proizvodio se sve do 1991. U tipičnoj pastelno plavoj, polarno bijeloj ili zelenoj boji mogao se vidjeti u akciji od istočnog Berlina do sjevernog otoka Rügena.
Broj im raste
Brojke njemačkog autokluba pokazuju da broj registriranih Trabanta 601 raste već otprilike 10 godina.
U 2014. bilo ih nešto više od 32 tisuće, a lani je premašena brojka od 40 tisuća. Četiri petine ih je na istoku zemlje.

Za to što u Njemačkoj ima sve više trabanata zaslužan je ponovni uvoz, objašnjava stručnjak Heinemann. Mnogi su automobili vraćeni iz bivših komunističkih zemalja poput Poljske i Mađarske, gdje su nekoć također bili česti.
Danas se najviše sviđa ‘uradi sam‘ mehaničarima i onima koji su nostalgični za danima jednostavnije vožnje. Auto se može lako popraviti pa je dobar set alata dovoljan za sve što se pokvari.
No ne dijele svi entuzijazam ljubitelja Trabanta. Njemačka ekološka organizacija Deutsche Umwelthilfe zabrinuta je zbog ispušnih plinova dvotaktnih motora. Automobil radi na ekološki neprikladnu mješavinu ulja i benzina i, naravno, nema katalizator za izgaranje štetnih emisija.
Glavni problemi su nepotpuno sagorjeli ugljikovodici i ugljikov monoksid. "Pozivamo na zabranu vožnje starih i novih vozila bez učinkovitog pročišćivanja ispušnih plinova", stoji u priopćenju organizacije.
Povijesno vozilo
No trabanti i drugi klasični automobili registrirani su kao povijesna vozila pa mogu voziti u zonama niske emisije u velikim gradovima gdje inače vrijede strogi propisi o čistoći zraka.
To nije opravdano, "jer pridonose onečišćenju zraka, a time i opasnostima po zdravlje", tvrdi Deutsche Umwelthilfe.
A u međuvremenu se mnoštvo trabanata redovito vidi na ulicama Berlina gdje ih tvrtka za najam nedaleko od bivšega graničnog prijelaza Checkpoint Charlie iznajmljuje turistima.
Prisjećanje je to na one slavne dane ponovnog ujedinjenja Njemačke u studenome 1989. kada su automobili i njihovi zapanjeni vlasnici bili srdačno dočekani diljem zapadne Njemačke. Berlinski zid se rušio usred oblaka oštrog dima koji je izlazio iz ispušne cijevi tanke poput prsta.
