Pandemijski Hollywood dobio je film o sebi s Netflixovom komedijom "U mjehuru" ("The Bubble") u režiji Judda Apatowa. "U mjehuru" se ruga Hollywoodu, njegovim štancanjem franšiza i modernim načinom snimanja filmova. Dinosaurska franšiza "Jurski svijet" je najveća meta.

Snimanje trećeg dijela "Jurassic World" serijala prekinula je pandemija, ali glumci su se ubrzo vratili na izolirani set u britanskim Pinewood studijima jer studio Universal nije htio ništa prepustiti slučaju. Prevelika je lova u igri da se snimanje ne bi zarolalo čim prije.

I tako je "Jurski svijet 3" nastavio sa snimanjem u pandemijskim uvjetima s rigoroznim mjerama kao prvi blockbuster kojemu je to uspjelo u vremenu sveopćeg otkazivanja produkcija, nakon čega su njegov trag slijedili nastavci "Nemoguće misije". Nešto slično se odvija i u Netflixovu filmu o snimanju šestog filma iz blockbusterskog serijala o letećim dinosaurima nazvanog "Cliff Beasts".

Okuplja se glumačka ekipa za "Cliff Beasts 6", mlada Carol (Karen Gillan), veteran Dustin (David Duchovny) i njegova supruga Lauren (Leslie Mann), superzvijezda TikToka Krystal (Iris Apatow)..., producirat će ga Britanac Gavin (Peter Serafinowicz), a režirati izvjesni Darren (Fred Armisen), čovjek koji je osvojio Sundance.

"Mi i Tom Cruise jedini smo u produkciji", ponosno će netko na setu. Razlog okupljanja jest nastavljanje dugogodišnje franšize, ali i zbog nedostatka novog sadržaja, deficitnog u pandemijskim uvjetima. Kad netko spomene ovo drugo, kao da je nenamjerno ukleo film.

Jer, "The Bubble" najvećim dijelom izgleda kao da je snimljen radi stvaranje novog sadržaja, tako potrebnog Netflixu za natjecanje s ostalim streaming servisima. Premisa je iznimno potetna za inteligentnu satiru i (auto)parodiju, ali potencijal je iskorišten samo na mahove.

Primjerice, neki žalci su prilično oštri u samoironiji/samoparodiji na račun današnjeg hollywoodskog biznisa, glumaca i filmaša. "Judi Dench je sjebala 'Cats'...", kaže Caroličin agent (Rob Delaney), referirajući se na kolosalni promašaj od mjuzikla. Carol bi najradije pobjegla iz "Cliff Beasts" franšize, ali njezin posljednji (ozbiljniji) film je krahirao.

"Je li moja karijera mrtva", pita ona i dobije odgovor "Ne ako snimiš ovaj film". Zanimljivo, nju glumi Gillan, glumica koja igra u dvije franšize – "Jumanji" i "Čuvari galaksije", tri ako računamo "Osvetnike" kao dio šireg "Guardians Of The Galaxy" svemira, a ne libi se primiti kritiku u liku Carol ("Ovo nisam glumila. Znamo, to se činilo stvarno.").

Uloge u franšizama ostvarili su i u filmu također angažirani Pedro Pascal ("Kingsman 2", "Mandalorian", "Wonder Woman 1984") i Keegan-Michael Key ("Predator: Evolucija"). "U mjehuru" pokazuje i kako danas "indie" redatelji postaju dio blockbusterskog svijeta na primjeru Darrena, a naročito ne štedi kompjutorizaciju blockbustera, tj. snimanje filmova ispred zelenog ekrana i stvaranje lažnih eksterijera.

Takve stvari su počele uzimati maha i prije pandemijskih uvjeta, da bi sada postale opća praksa. Apatow ima štogod za reći o pandemiji i Hollywoodu pa je zato šteta da mu se film nepovratno gubi u podzapletima i scenama glupastog, iritantnog humora (plesni koraci ispred dinosaura), nerijetko i zahodske vrste (glumci povraćaju dok vise na nevidljivim žicama), a i predugo traje – više od dva sata, previše za parodiju. Mjehur satire se u međuvremenu napuhao i ispuhao.

Apatow se proslavio komedijama "Junfer u 40-oj" i "Zalomilo se", a formi je održao s "Kaosom u glavi" i "Kraljem Staten Islanda". U filmu se pojavljuju i Kate McKinnon, James McAvoy...

Pandemijski Hollywood dobio je film o sebi s Netflixovom komedijom "U mjehuru" ("The Bubble") u režiji Judda Apatowa. "U mjehuru" se ruga Hollywoodu, njegovim štancanjem franšiza i modernim načinom snimanja filmova. Dinosaurska franšiza "Jurski svijet" je najveća meta.

Snimanje trećeg dijela "Jurassic World" serijala prekinula je pandemija, ali glumci su se ubrzo vratili na izolirani set u britanskim Pinewood studijima jer studio Universal nije htio ništa prepustiti slučaju. Prevelika je lova u igri da se snimanje ne bi zarolalo čim prije.

I tako je "Jurski svijet 3" nastavio sa snimanjem u pandemijskim uvjetima s rigoroznim mjerama kao prvi blockbuster kojemu je to uspjelo u vremenu sveopćeg otkazivanja produkcija, nakon čega su njegov trag slijedili nastavci "Nemoguće misije". Nešto slično se odvija i u Netflixovu filmu o snimanju šestog filma iz blockbusterskog serijala o letećim dinosaurima nazvanog "Cliff Beasts".

Okuplja se glumačka ekipa za "Cliff Beasts 6", mlada Carol (Karen Gillan), veteran Dustin (David Duchovny) i njegova supruga Lauren (Leslie Mann), superzvijezda TikToka Krystal (Iris Apatow)..., producirat će ga Britanac Gavin (Peter Serafinowicz), a režirati izvjesni Darren (Fred Armisen), čovjek koji je osvojio Sundance.

"Mi i Tom Cruise jedini smo u produkciji", ponosno će netko na setu. Razlog okupljanja jest nastavljanje dugogodišnje franšize, ali i zbog nedostatka novog sadržaja, deficitnog u pandemijskim uvjetima. Kad netko spomene ovo drugo, kao da je nenamjerno ukleo film.

Jer, "The Bubble" najvećim dijelom izgleda kao da je snimljen radi stvaranje novog sadržaja, tako potrebnog Netflixu za natjecanje s ostalim streaming servisima. Premisa je iznimno potetna za inteligentnu satiru i (auto)parodiju, ali potencijal je iskorišten samo na mahove.

Primjerice, neki žalci su prilično oštri u samoironiji/samoparodiji na račun današnjeg hollywoodskog biznisa, glumaca i filmaša. "Judi Dench je sjebala 'Cats'...", kaže Caroličin agent (Rob Delaney), referirajući se na kolosalni promašaj od mjuzikla. Carol bi najradije pobjegla iz "Cliff Beasts" franšize, ali njezin posljednji (ozbiljniji) film je krahirao.

"Je li moja karijera mrtva", pita ona i dobije odgovor "Ne ako snimiš ovaj film". Zanimljivo, nju glumi Gillan, glumica koja igra u dvije franšize – "Jumanji" i "Čuvari galaksije", tri ako računamo "Osvetnike" kao dio šireg "Guardians Of The Galaxy" svemira, a ne libi se primiti kritiku u liku Carol ("Ovo nisam glumila. Znamo, to se činilo stvarno.").

Uloge u franšizama ostvarili su i u filmu također angažirani Pedro Pascal ("Kingsman 2", "Mandalorian", "Wonder Woman 1984") i Keegan-Michael Key ("Predator: Evolucija"). "U mjehuru" pokazuje i kako danas "indie" redatelji postaju dio blockbusterskog svijeta na primjeru Darrena, a naročito ne štedi kompjutorizaciju blockbustera, tj. snimanje filmova ispred zelenog ekrana i stvaranje lažnih eksterijera.

Takve stvari su počele uzimati maha i prije pandemijskih uvjeta, da bi sada postale opća praksa. Apatow ima štogod za reći o pandemiji i Hollywoodu pa je zato šteta da mu se film nepovratno gubi u podzapletima i scenama glupastog, iritantnog humora (plesni koraci ispred dinosaura), nerijetko i zahodske vrste (glumci povraćaju dok vise na nevidljivim žicama), a i predugo traje – više od dva sata, previše za parodiju. Mjehur satire se u međuvremenu napuhao i ispuhao.

Apatow se proslavio komedijama "Junfer u 40-oj" i "Zalomilo se", a formi je održao s "Kaosom u glavi" i "Kraljem Staten Islanda". U filmu se pojavljuju i Kate McKinnon, James McAvoy...
