Anime filmovi sve češće dolaze i u hrvatska kina. Do prije desetak godina gledali smo isključivo japanske animirane filmove legendarnog Hayaoa Miyazakija (“Princeza Mononoke”, “Ponyo na litici kraj mora”, “Avanture male Chihiro”, “Vjetar se diže”). No, sve se promijenilo tijekom dvijetisuće i desetih kad su u distribuciju stigla i ostvarenja Japanca Mamorua Hosode kao što su “Djeca vukovi” i “Mirai”.

Prošlo ljeto u ovo vrijeme gledali smo i Hosodinu animaciju “Belle: Zmaj i pjegava princeza”. Nešto manje od 365 dana kasnije evo nam i “Suzume” (“Suzume no Tojimari”) redatelja Makota Shinkaija. Posljednjih godina Shinkai se nameće kao najveći Hosodin konkurent za titulu Miyazakijeva nasljednika.

Skrenuo je pažnju na sebe velikim kinohitom “Your Name” i “Weathering With You”, a “Suzume” dolazi kao definitivna potvrda njegova talenta, pa i ljubavi prema Miyazakiju. Fanovi Miyazakija pronaći će ovdje referencije na filmove njegova studija Ghibli, od “Kikinog servisa za dostavljanje” do “Šapta srca” i “Howlovog pokretnog dvorca”, ali i druge utjecajne animacije novog milenija poput Pixarovih “Čudovišta iz ormara”.

Referencije se fino uklapaju u Shinkaijevu viziju japanske animacije koja je bliska Miyazakiju u ispreplitanju emotivnog i vizualnog, fantazije i zbilje, duhovnog i prirodnog, osobnog i kolektivnog, kao i pitanjima ekologije i nekim egzistencijalnim razmišljanjima (“Koliko smisla moramo prevladati prije nego što stignemo do odredišta?”).

Shinkaija je za “Suzume” inspirirao strah od potresa nakon onog masivnog u japanskoj regiji Tohoku iz 2011. godine. Upozorenja na potres vrište iz mobitela u jednoj sceni filma, a drhtanje zemlje i slične prirodne katastrofe uzrokuju sile iz paralelne dimenzije Ever-After (nešto kao Upside-Down iz “Stranger Things”) poput golemog čudovišnog crvenog crva nalik zmaju koji biva oslobođen kad se otvore vrata portala gdje se sudaraju prošlost, sadašnjosti i budućnost.

Vrata otvara 17-godišnja Suzume nakon što jednog dana na putu prema školi naleti na mladog i zgodnog stranca Soutu te osjeti neobjašnjivu povezanost među njima. “Vrati se kući i zaboravi što si vidjela”, kaže Souta, “zatvarač” portala i član Čuvara koji se brine da crv ne uđe u naš svijet, no sila je već puštena i on biva pretvoren u pričajuću tronogu dječju stolicu.

Takav Souta svejedno pomaže Suzume da spase svijet, na putovanju im se pridružuje i mačka koja govori, a naša heroina će otkriti i tajnu iz djetinjstva u kojem je izgubila majku (ujna ju je odgojila). “Suzume” funkcionira višestruko.

Ovo je spektakularno animirana avanturistička fantazija u stilu “Alise u zemlji čudesa” s elementima intrigantnog SF-a o putovanju kroz vrijeme poput “Povratka u budućnost”, “Donnieja Darka” ili “Interstellara”, ali i emocionalna priča o odrastanju jedne mlade djevojke na razmeđi traumatične prošlosti, kaotične sadašnjosti i neznane budućnosti svijeta odraslih.

Redatelja najviše interesiraju emotivna podrhtavanja u životu tinejdžerice s traumom iz djetinjstva koja se pretapa u nacionalnu traumu od potresa, ali i univerzalni strah od gubitka bližnjih u neobičnoj, ekstraordinarnoj animaciji. “Ovaj svijet nije za obične ljude”, čujemo. Nije ni “Suzume”.

Murakami kao inspiracija

Makoto Shinkai se za film inspirirao i djelima Harukija Murakamija, konkretno kratkom pričom "Super-Frog Saves Tokyo" i romanom "Kafka on the Shore".

Anime filmovi sve češće dolaze i u hrvatska kina. Do prije desetak godina gledali smo isključivo japanske animirane filmove legendarnog Hayaoa Miyazakija (“Princeza Mononoke”, “Ponyo na litici kraj mora”, “Avanture male Chihiro”, “Vjetar se diže”). No, sve se promijenilo tijekom dvijetisuće i desetih kad su u distribuciju stigla i ostvarenja Japanca Mamorua Hosode kao što su “Djeca vukovi” i “Mirai”.

Prošlo ljeto u ovo vrijeme gledali smo i Hosodinu animaciju “Belle: Zmaj i pjegava princeza”. Nešto manje od 365 dana kasnije evo nam i “Suzume” (“Suzume no Tojimari”) redatelja Makota Shinkaija. Posljednjih godina Shinkai se nameće kao najveći Hosodin konkurent za titulu Miyazakijeva nasljednika.

Skrenuo je pažnju na sebe velikim kinohitom “Your Name” i “Weathering With You”, a “Suzume” dolazi kao definitivna potvrda njegova talenta, pa i ljubavi prema Miyazakiju. Fanovi Miyazakija pronaći će ovdje referencije na filmove njegova studija Ghibli, od “Kikinog servisa za dostavljanje” do “Šapta srca” i “Howlovog pokretnog dvorca”, ali i druge utjecajne animacije novog milenija poput Pixarovih “Čudovišta iz ormara”.

Referencije se fino uklapaju u Shinkaijevu viziju japanske animacije koja je bliska Miyazakiju u ispreplitanju emotivnog i vizualnog, fantazije i zbilje, duhovnog i prirodnog, osobnog i kolektivnog, kao i pitanjima ekologije i nekim egzistencijalnim razmišljanjima (“Koliko smisla moramo prevladati prije nego što stignemo do odredišta?”).

Shinkaija je za “Suzume” inspirirao strah od potresa nakon onog masivnog u japanskoj regiji Tohoku iz 2011. godine. Upozorenja na potres vrište iz mobitela u jednoj sceni filma, a drhtanje zemlje i slične prirodne katastrofe uzrokuju sile iz paralelne dimenzije Ever-After (nešto kao Upside-Down iz “Stranger Things”) poput golemog čudovišnog crvenog crva nalik zmaju koji biva oslobođen kad se otvore vrata portala gdje se sudaraju prošlost, sadašnjosti i budućnost.

Vrata otvara 17-godišnja Suzume nakon što jednog dana na putu prema školi naleti na mladog i zgodnog stranca Soutu te osjeti neobjašnjivu povezanost među njima. “Vrati se kući i zaboravi što si vidjela”, kaže Souta, “zatvarač” portala i član Čuvara koji se brine da crv ne uđe u naš svijet, no sila je već puštena i on biva pretvoren u pričajuću tronogu dječju stolicu.

Takav Souta svejedno pomaže Suzume da spase svijet, na putovanju im se pridružuje i mačka koja govori, a naša heroina će otkriti i tajnu iz djetinjstva u kojem je izgubila majku (ujna ju je odgojila). “Suzume” funkcionira višestruko.

Ovo je spektakularno animirana avanturistička fantazija u stilu “Alise u zemlji čudesa” s elementima intrigantnog SF-a o putovanju kroz vrijeme poput “Povratka u budućnost”, “Donnieja Darka” ili “Interstellara”, ali i emocionalna priča o odrastanju jedne mlade djevojke na razmeđi traumatične prošlosti, kaotične sadašnjosti i neznane budućnosti svijeta odraslih.

Redatelja najviše interesiraju emotivna podrhtavanja u životu tinejdžerice s traumom iz djetinjstva koja se pretapa u nacionalnu traumu od potresa, ali i univerzalni strah od gubitka bližnjih u neobičnoj, ekstraordinarnoj animaciji. “Ovaj svijet nije za obične ljude”, čujemo. Nije ni “Suzume”.

Makoto Shinkai se za film inspirirao i djelima Harukija Murakamija, konkretno kratkom pričom "Super-Frog Saves Tokyo" i romanom "Kafka on the Shore".
