Danci su proljetos dobili Oscara za priču o piću ("Još jedna runda" Thomasa Vinterberga), a nekih mjesec dana ranije na marketu u sklopu Berlinalea premijerno je prikazan danski film o iću – "Okus gladi" Christoffera Boea. Nisu to jedine poveznice između "Another Round" i "A Taste Of Hunger", izvorno naslovljen "Smagen af sult". Koscenarist oba filma je Tobias Lindholm, poznato pero danske kinematografije ("Lov", "Rat", "Komuna"), ujedno i prokušani režiser ("Otmica").

Listu Lindholmovih filmova, redom drama, uputno je istaknuti u kontekstu "Okusa gladi" da publika zna što može očekivati, uz činjenicu da je posrijedi novi predstavnik propulzivne danske (festivalske) kinematografije. Jer, "A Taste Of Hunger" možda jest prvi istaknutiji danski film kulinarskog podžanra, ali definitivno nije lepršav kao njegovi recentni primjerci, recimo "Indijski začin na francuski način" s Helen Mirren ili "Glavni kuhar" Jona Favreaua.

I "Paklena kuhinja" s Bradleyjem Cooperom ima manje drame od "Okusa gladi" s još jednim miljenikom žena Nikolajem Coster-Waldauom i velikom danskom zvijezdom koja gravitira Hollywoodu ("Igra prijestolja", "Lovci na glave", "Druga šansa", "Zakon jačeg", "Domino", "Ušutkivanje"), najvećom iza Madsa Mikkelsena.

Doduše, film počinje upravo ležerno kulinarski, oblikovanjem jela za lizati prste s prepoznatljivim prizorima. Pedantno sjeckanje i pripremanje hrane u krupnom i srednjem planu, "masterchefovski" aranžmani na tanjuru...

Gledatelju rastu zazubice i smjesta dobiva želju da uleti u ekran i kuša profinjene gastronomske specijalitete kakve priprema "masterchef" Carsten (Coster-Waldau) uz asistenciju životne partnerice, antropologinje specijalizirane za hranu Maggi (Katrine Greis-Rosenthal; "Ubojice fazana", "Most", "Kursk"), majke njegove dvoje djece koja ga uvjerava da bi trebao ostvariti san, imati svoj restoran i "Michelinovu" zvjezdicu kao krunu svih priznanja u ovom svijetu.

Nanizat će "A Taste Of Hunger" sličnih scena, kao i još nekih drugih, podjednako standardnih za podžanr, poput "masterchefove" nervoze oko spremanja večere za mnoštvo gostiju i istresanja na kuharima, njegove posvećenosti da kreira "jelo s potpisom", zbog čega će sve ostalo pasti u sjenu itd. Međutim, ovo nije film o glavnom kuharu i njegovu usponu do "Michelinovih" zvjezdica.

Odnosno, načelno jest, ali fokus priče seli se s Carstenove hrane na njegov brak s Maggi, garniran epizodičnim trilersko-melodramsko-sapuničastim podzapletima koje ponekad nije lako provariti unutar centralne kulinarsko-obiteljske drame. Nije ni superiornija "Još jedna runda" bila tipična filmska priča o uživanju u piću, no umješnije je miješala koktel interesa skrivenih ispod površine, nenametljivo postajući životna drama o životu samome.

Nešto slično pokušava i "Okus gladi", spraviti film od prirodnih sastojaka, ali na trenutke djeluje umjetno i proizvoljno, tj. gledatelj osjeća ruku scenarista kako kuha, pa i prekuhava, priču. Profesionalno (ambicije) i osobno (zadovoljstvo) neravnomjerno su suprostavljeni kad Maggi poželi da otvore novi restoran i dobiju "tu zvjezdicu, našu zvjezdicu", pritom ugrožavajući sve što su zajedno postigli, kad se upusti u aferu i ugrozi ne samo brak s Corstenom, već zamalo i život jednog djeteta.

Kronika bračne krize ostvaruje se neujednačenom stilskom kombinacijom dramskog festivalca i sapunice, ali i ujednačenim izvedbama glumaca, sklonijim drami nego melodrami. Greis-Rosenthal i Coster-Waldau veoma predano pristupaju ulogama; njega je kuharskom zanatu i ponašanju u kuhinji podučavao Rasmus Kofoed, glavni kuhar i suvlasnik vrhunskog restorana "Geranium".

Glumci su iznad filma i doprinose održavanju zanimacije gledatelja za sudbinu njihovih likova, malenih ispod "Michelinovih" zvjezdica, dok napokon ne uvide da je "najbolji obrok u životu onaj koji dijele zajedno". Jasno, interes se održava i spektrom okusa na ekranu u filmu vizualno začinjenim kulinarskim užicima. Hrana budi i hrani strast likova, a gotovo da se može okusiti s ove strane ekrana, zbog čega film vrijedi kušati. "A Taste Of Hunger" potiče okus gladi.

Rasmus Kofoed kao kuhar-mentor

"Dozvola da pratim Rasmusa Kofoeda u njegovom restoranu pretvorila se u veliko iskustvo i bila je vrlo vrijedna pomoć u pripremama za naš film. Rasmus je vrhunski profesionalac, a njegova velikodušnost i ustrajnost kad sam postavljao glupa pitanja nagrada je vrijedna sama po sebi. A onda je tu bila i hrana. Bilo je uistinu sjajno", izjavio je Coster-Waldau o snimanju "Okusa gladi".

Danci su proljetos dobili Oscara za priču o piću ("Još jedna runda" Thomasa Vinterberga), a nekih mjesec dana ranije na marketu u sklopu Berlinalea premijerno je prikazan danski film o iću – "Okus gladi" Christoffera Boea. Nisu to jedine poveznice između "Another Round" i "A Taste Of Hunger", izvorno naslovljen "Smagen af sult". Koscenarist oba filma je Tobias Lindholm, poznato pero danske kinematografije ("Lov", "Rat", "Komuna"), ujedno i prokušani režiser ("Otmica").

Listu Lindholmovih filmova, redom drama, uputno je istaknuti u kontekstu "Okusa gladi" da publika zna što može očekivati, uz činjenicu da je posrijedi novi predstavnik propulzivne danske (festivalske) kinematografije. Jer, "A Taste Of Hunger" možda jest prvi istaknutiji danski film kulinarskog podžanra, ali definitivno nije lepršav kao njegovi recentni primjerci, recimo "Indijski začin na francuski način" s Helen Mirren ili "Glavni kuhar" Jona Favreaua.

I "Paklena kuhinja" s Bradleyjem Cooperom ima manje drame od "Okusa gladi" s još jednim miljenikom žena Nikolajem Coster-Waldauom i velikom danskom zvijezdom koja gravitira Hollywoodu ("Igra prijestolja", "Lovci na glave", "Druga šansa", "Zakon jačeg", "Domino", "Ušutkivanje"), najvećom iza Madsa Mikkelsena.

Doduše, film počinje upravo ležerno kulinarski, oblikovanjem jela za lizati prste s prepoznatljivim prizorima. Pedantno sjeckanje i pripremanje hrane u krupnom i srednjem planu, "masterchefovski" aranžmani na tanjuru...

Gledatelju rastu zazubice i smjesta dobiva želju da uleti u ekran i kuša profinjene gastronomske specijalitete kakve priprema "masterchef" Carsten (Coster-Waldau) uz asistenciju životne partnerice, antropologinje specijalizirane za hranu Maggi (Katrine Greis-Rosenthal; "Ubojice fazana", "Most", "Kursk"), majke njegove dvoje djece koja ga uvjerava da bi trebao ostvariti san, imati svoj restoran i "Michelinovu" zvjezdicu kao krunu svih priznanja u ovom svijetu.

Nanizat će "A Taste Of Hunger" sličnih scena, kao i još nekih drugih, podjednako standardnih za podžanr, poput "masterchefove" nervoze oko spremanja večere za mnoštvo gostiju i istresanja na kuharima, njegove posvećenosti da kreira "jelo s potpisom", zbog čega će sve ostalo pasti u sjenu itd. Međutim, ovo nije film o glavnom kuharu i njegovu usponu do "Michelinovih" zvjezdica.

Odnosno, načelno jest, ali fokus priče seli se s Carstenove hrane na njegov brak s Maggi, garniran epizodičnim trilersko-melodramsko-sapuničastim podzapletima koje ponekad nije lako provariti unutar centralne kulinarsko-obiteljske drame. Nije ni superiornija "Još jedna runda" bila tipična filmska priča o uživanju u piću, no umješnije je miješala koktel interesa skrivenih ispod površine, nenametljivo postajući životna drama o životu samome.

Nešto slično pokušava i "Okus gladi", spraviti film od prirodnih sastojaka, ali na trenutke djeluje umjetno i proizvoljno, tj. gledatelj osjeća ruku scenarista kako kuha, pa i prekuhava, priču. Profesionalno (ambicije) i osobno (zadovoljstvo) neravnomjerno su suprostavljeni kad Maggi poželi da otvore novi restoran i dobiju "tu zvjezdicu, našu zvjezdicu", pritom ugrožavajući sve što su zajedno postigli, kad se upusti u aferu i ugrozi ne samo brak s Corstenom, već zamalo i život jednog djeteta.

Kronika bračne krize ostvaruje se neujednačenom stilskom kombinacijom dramskog festivalca i sapunice, ali i ujednačenim izvedbama glumaca, sklonijim drami nego melodrami. Greis-Rosenthal i Coster-Waldau veoma predano pristupaju ulogama; njega je kuharskom zanatu i ponašanju u kuhinji podučavao Rasmus Kofoed, glavni kuhar i suvlasnik vrhunskog restorana "Geranium".

Glumci su iznad filma i doprinose održavanju zanimacije gledatelja za sudbinu njihovih likova, malenih ispod "Michelinovih" zvjezdica, dok napokon ne uvide da je "najbolji obrok u životu onaj koji dijele zajedno". Jasno, interes se održava i spektrom okusa na ekranu u filmu vizualno začinjenim kulinarskim užicima. Hrana budi i hrani strast likova, a gotovo da se može okusiti s ove strane ekrana, zbog čega film vrijedi kušati. "A Taste Of Hunger" potiče okus gladi.

Rasmus Kofoed kao kuhar-mentor

"Dozvola da pratim Rasmusa Kofoeda u njegovom restoranu pretvorila se u veliko iskustvo i bila je vrlo vrijedna pomoć u pripremama za naš film. Rasmus je vrhunski profesionalac, a njegova velikodušnost i ustrajnost kad sam postavljao glupa pitanja nagrada je vrijedna sama po sebi. A onda je tu bila i hrana. Bilo je uistinu sjajno", izjavio je Coster-Waldau o snimanju "Okusa gladi".
