Pretvaranje "ružnog pačeta" u labuda je klasični bajkoviti "template" i njime su se okoristile mnoge (filmske) priče, počevši od "Pepeljuge". Jedna od njih je i "Ona je sve to" ili "She's All That" za koju je scenarij napisao R. Lee Fleming Jr.

Razmjerno simpatična tinejdžerska romantična komedijica postala je krajem devedesetih popriličan hit, s preko stotinu milijuna dolara zarade u kinima na budžet od deset. Uspjeh je potvrdio Freddieja Prinzea Jr-a kao teen-zvijezdu nakon uloga u hororima "Znam što si radila prošlog ljeta" i "Još uvijek znam što si radila prošlog ljeta".

Prinze je, sjetimo se, glumio najpopularnijeg mladića u srednjoj školi koji se okladi da neuglednu "geeky" djevojku (Rachel Leigh Cook) može pretvoriti u kraljicu maturalne večeri da bi, izlazeći i družeći se s njom, shvatio značenje poslovice "ne sudi knjigu po koricama" jer ona je bila, kako se reče, "more than meets the eye". Ona je bila sve to, sukladno naslovu filma.

Za razliku od nje, "She's All That" baš i nije bio "sve to". Lomio se neravnomjerno između dražesnog rom-coma i vulgarne tinejdžerske komedije s pubičnim dlakama na pizzi, valjda kako bi konkurirao vršnjačkoj "Američkoj piti".

Međutim, kemija centralnog para Prinze-Cook bila je postojana, a pjesma "Kiss Me" benda Sixpence None The Richer ušla u uho, i to je primarni razlog da se ondašnje generacije s nostalgijom sjećaju filma "Ona je sve to" koji je, k tome, predstavio novi naraštaj glumaca (Matthew Lillard, Paul Walker).

Nostalgija za "She's All That" može samo biti još veća kad se pogleda friški i prilično loš Netflixov remake ili inverzija – "He's All That". Snimljen na valu trendovskih "gender switch" remakeova ili rebootova nekadašnjih hitova poput "Oceanovih 8" i "Istjerivači(ca) duhova", "On je sve to" obrće spolove glavnih likova.

Sada se, opet prema Flemingovu scenariju, najpopularnija djevojka u školi, influencerica Padgett Sawyer ("stvarna" TikTok zvijezda Addison Rae), kladi da će povučenog "geeka" Camerona Kwellera (Tanner Buchanan; serija "Cobra Kai"), koji se odijeva kao grunger devedesetih, načiniti kraljem maturalne večeri nakon "makeovera".

Dakle, ovo je remake za društveno-mrežnu generaciju TikTokera, influencera, followera... "Update" je logičan budući da "online" generacija današnjice, ciljana demografija filma, gravitira ka društvenim mrežama, čak i hvalevrijedno zamišljen računajući stres mladih izazvan pritiskom da im "online" sve izgleda savršeno, ali i da od konstantne umreženosti propuštaju život "uživo".

"Pustite TikTok i pogledajte malo pravog plesa", poručuje ravnatelj škole na maturalnoj večeri kojeg, štosno, glumi Lillard, dok se Cook nalazi u ulozi Padgettine majke, a Prinze je, pametan, preskočio povratak. No, Padgett baš i neće naučiti lekciju nakon druženja s Cameronom pa se na kraju opet spaja "online" za influencerski "live stream".

Film odašilje suprotive poruke, a Mark Waters ("Kronike Spiderwick", "Sve moje bivše", "Zločesti Djed Mraz 2") ničim ne odaje da je nekoć režirao izvrsnu crnohumornu srednjoškolsku komediju "Opasne djevojke" s puno boljom glumačkom ekipom Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams i Amandom Seyfried.

Brojne scene traže glumačke repete, ali Waters ih nije ponavljao jer bolje od toga glumci očito ne mogu, mizanscena je umjetna kao da je preslikana s Instagrama, tinejdžeri su ulickani, nitko ne pije, ne puši i ne prostači, kamoli da liježu zajedno u krevet jer poljubac je ovdje najveći doseg.

Čini se kao da je film složio Netflixov algoritam pa u jednom trenutku Cameron, niotkuda, demonstrira karate u tučnjavi s Padgettinim bivšim dečkom (Peyton Meyer) da podsjeti na "Cobra Kai" i najavi skorašnju četvrtu sezonu hit-serije nakon uspjeha treće.

"He's All That" isuviše izgleda kao tvornički "zgrabi lovu i bježi" streaming proizvod koji kapitalizira na zvučnom imenu prethodnika, krajnje bezdušan komadičak filmčeta, lišen šarma, energije i kemije među ukočenim glumcima (u scenama Cameronova "makeovera" i zaljubljivanja) s kojima se teško povezati. Game (make)over. On nije sve to.

Mlađa i pametnija sestra

Mlađu i pametniju sestru protagonista ovaj put glumi Isabella Crovetti, a u originalu je to bila oskarovka Anna Paquin. U jednoj od uloga nalazi se i Madison Pettis koja je kao klinka glumila s Dwayneom Johnsonom u filmu "The Game Plan".

Pretvaranje "ružnog pačeta" u labuda je klasični bajkoviti "template" i njime su se okoristile mnoge (filmske) priče, počevši od "Pepeljuge". Jedna od njih je i "Ona je sve to" ili "She's All That" za koju je scenarij napisao R. Lee Fleming Jr.

Razmjerno simpatična tinejdžerska romantična komedijica postala je krajem devedesetih popriličan hit, s preko stotinu milijuna dolara zarade u kinima na budžet od deset. Uspjeh je potvrdio Freddieja Prinzea Jr-a kao teen-zvijezdu nakon uloga u hororima "Znam što si radila prošlog ljeta" i "Još uvijek znam što si radila prošlog ljeta".

Prinze je, sjetimo se, glumio najpopularnijeg mladića u srednjoj školi koji se okladi da neuglednu "geeky" djevojku (Rachel Leigh Cook) može pretvoriti u kraljicu maturalne večeri da bi, izlazeći i družeći se s njom, shvatio značenje poslovice "ne sudi knjigu po koricama" jer ona je bila, kako se reče, "more than meets the eye". Ona je bila sve to, sukladno naslovu filma.

Za razliku od nje, "She's All That" baš i nije bio "sve to". Lomio se neravnomjerno između dražesnog rom-coma i vulgarne tinejdžerske komedije s pubičnim dlakama na pizzi, valjda kako bi konkurirao vršnjačkoj "Američkoj piti".

Međutim, kemija centralnog para Prinze-Cook bila je postojana, a pjesma "Kiss Me" benda Sixpence None The Richer ušla u uho, i to je primarni razlog da se ondašnje generacije s nostalgijom sjećaju filma "Ona je sve to" koji je, k tome, predstavio novi naraštaj glumaca (Matthew Lillard, Paul Walker).

Nostalgija za "She's All That" može samo biti još veća kad se pogleda friški i prilično loš Netflixov remake ili inverzija – "He's All That". Snimljen na valu trendovskih "gender switch" remakeova ili rebootova nekadašnjih hitova poput "Oceanovih 8" i "Istjerivači(ca) duhova", "On je sve to" obrće spolove glavnih likova.

Sada se, opet prema Flemingovu scenariju, najpopularnija djevojka u školi, influencerica Padgett Sawyer ("stvarna" TikTok zvijezda Addison Rae), kladi da će povučenog "geeka" Camerona Kwellera (Tanner Buchanan; serija "Cobra Kai"), koji se odijeva kao grunger devedesetih, načiniti kraljem maturalne večeri nakon "makeovera".

Dakle, ovo je remake za društveno-mrežnu generaciju TikTokera, influencera, followera... "Update" je logičan budući da "online" generacija današnjice, ciljana demografija filma, gravitira ka društvenim mrežama, čak i hvalevrijedno zamišljen računajući stres mladih izazvan pritiskom da im "online" sve izgleda savršeno, ali i da od konstantne umreženosti propuštaju život "uživo".

"Pustite TikTok i pogledajte malo pravog plesa", poručuje ravnatelj škole na maturalnoj večeri kojeg, štosno, glumi Lillard, dok se Cook nalazi u ulozi Padgettine majke, a Prinze je, pametan, preskočio povratak. No, Padgett baš i neće naučiti lekciju nakon druženja s Cameronom pa se na kraju opet spaja "online" za influencerski "live stream".

Film odašilje suprotive poruke, a Mark Waters ("Kronike Spiderwick", "Sve moje bivše", "Zločesti Djed Mraz 2") ničim ne odaje da je nekoć režirao izvrsnu crnohumornu srednjoškolsku komediju "Opasne djevojke" s puno boljom glumačkom ekipom Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams i Amandom Seyfried.

Brojne scene traže glumačke repete, ali Waters ih nije ponavljao jer bolje od toga glumci očito ne mogu, mizanscena je umjetna kao da je preslikana s Instagrama, tinejdžeri su ulickani, nitko ne pije, ne puši i ne prostači, kamoli da liježu zajedno u krevet jer poljubac je ovdje najveći doseg.

Čini se kao da je film složio Netflixov algoritam pa u jednom trenutku Cameron, niotkuda, demonstrira karate u tučnjavi s Padgettinim bivšim dečkom (Peyton Meyer) da podsjeti na "Cobra Kai" i najavi skorašnju četvrtu sezonu hit-serije nakon uspjeha treće.

"He's All That" isuviše izgleda kao tvornički "zgrabi lovu i bježi" streaming proizvod koji kapitalizira na zvučnom imenu prethodnika, krajnje bezdušan komadičak filmčeta, lišen šarma, energije i kemije među ukočenim glumcima (u scenama Cameronova "makeovera" i zaljubljivanja) s kojima se teško povezati. Game (make)over. On nije sve to.

Mlađa i pametnija sestra

Mlađu i pametniju sestru protagonista ovaj put glumi Isabella Crovetti, a u originalu je to bila oskarovka Anna Paquin. U jednoj od uloga nalazi se i Madison Pettis koja je kao klinka glumila s Dwayneom Johnsonom u filmu "The Game Plan".
