Jedna 16-godišnja djevojka iz Palija u Indiji stalno se žalila na bolove u trbuhu i povraćanje. Bila je bolesna šest mjeseci, zbog čega njezina obitelj nije imala drugog izbora nego ju odvesti liječnicima. Kada je situacija postala nepodnošljiva, morala je na operaciju, piše Jutarnji list.

Kirurzi su joj tada iz trbuha uklonili klupko kose teško čak pola kilograma, a ispostavilo se da djevojčica od svoje osme godine boluje od trihofagije, odnosno kompulzivne potrebe za jedenjem kose. Ova bolest povezuje se s trihotilomanijom, odnosno neodoljivom potrebom za čupanjem kose.

Smeđa masa dlaka koju su liječnici pronašli u trbuhu 16-godišnjakinje bila je duga zastrašujućih 16 centimetara i široka osam centimetara.

Iako se trihotilomanija i trihofagija spominju još u 18. stoljeću, nikada nije točno otkriveno zašto se taj poremećaj javlja kod ljudi. Dlake se naposljetku nakupljaju u gastrointestinalnom traktu te uzrokuju probavne smetnje i bolove u želucu.

Ljudi koji imaju ovaj poremećaj imaju potrebu žvakati svoje vlasi, jesti ih, a nekad jedu i tuđu kosu. Trihotilomanija se često ubraja u spektar opsesivno – kompulzivnih poremećaja.

Opis "navika čupanja kose" je pomalo zavaravajuć jer se osoba koja ima ovaj poremećaj zapravo često čupa dlake i s drugih mjesta, poput obrva, trepavica... Još uvijek se ne može sa sigurnošću utvrditi koji je uzrok trihotilomanije, no moglo bi se raditi o genetskim i okolinskim faktorima, piše Jutarnji list.

Jedna 16-godišnja djevojka iz Palija u Indiji stalno se žalila na bolove u trbuhu i povraćanje. Bila je bolesna šest mjeseci, zbog čega njezina obitelj nije imala drugog izbora nego ju odvesti liječnicima. Kada je situacija postala nepodnošljiva, morala je na operaciju, piše Jutarnji list.

Kirurzi su joj tada iz trbuha uklonili klupko kose teško čak pola kilograma, a ispostavilo se da djevojčica od svoje osme godine boluje od trihofagije, odnosno kompulzivne potrebe za jedenjem kose. Ova bolest povezuje se s trihotilomanijom, odnosno neodoljivom potrebom za čupanjem kose.

Smeđa masa dlaka koju su liječnici pronašli u trbuhu 16-godišnjakinje bila je duga zastrašujućih 16 centimetara i široka osam centimetara.

Iako se trihotilomanija i trihofagija spominju još u 18. stoljeću, nikada nije točno otkriveno zašto se taj poremećaj javlja kod ljudi. Dlake se naposljetku nakupljaju u gastrointestinalnom traktu te uzrokuju probavne smetnje i bolove u želucu.

Ljudi koji imaju ovaj poremećaj imaju potrebu žvakati svoje vlasi, jesti ih, a nekad jedu i tuđu kosu. Trihotilomanija se često ubraja u spektar opsesivno – kompulzivnih poremećaja.

Opis "navika čupanja kose" je pomalo zavaravajuć jer se osoba koja ima ovaj poremećaj zapravo često čupa dlake i s drugih mjesta, poput obrva, trepavica... Još uvijek se ne može sa sigurnošću utvrditi koji je uzrok trihotilomanije, no moglo bi se raditi o genetskim i okolinskim faktorima, piše Jutarnji list.

Jedna 16-godišnja djevojka iz Palija u Indiji stalno se žalila na bolove u trbuhu i povraćanje. Bila je bolesna šest mjeseci, zbog čega njezina obitelj nije imala drugog izbora nego ju odvesti liječnicima. Kada je situacija postala nepodnošljiva, morala je na operaciju, piše Jutarnji list.

Kirurzi su joj tada iz trbuha uklonili klupko kose teško čak pola kilograma, a ispostavilo se da djevojčica od svoje osme godine boluje od trihofagije, odnosno kompulzivne potrebe za jedenjem kose. Ova bolest povezuje se s trihotilomanijom, odnosno neodoljivom potrebom za čupanjem kose.

Smeđa masa dlaka koju su liječnici pronašli u trbuhu 16-godišnjakinje bila je duga zastrašujućih 16 centimetara i široka osam centimetara.

Iako se trihotilomanija i trihofagija spominju još u 18. stoljeću, nikada nije točno otkriveno zašto se taj poremećaj javlja kod ljudi. Dlake se naposljetku nakupljaju u gastrointestinalnom traktu te uzrokuju probavne smetnje i bolove u želucu.
