Najiščekivaniji film godine, odnosno njegov prvi od dvaju nastavaka, opravdao je očekivanja. Od redatelja Denisa Villeneuvea nismo ni očekivali manje od perfekcionizma u filmskoj adaptaciji 'Dine' (Dune), znanstveno fantastičkog klasika Franka Herberta iz daleke 1965.
Kanađanin Villeneuve, autor hvaljenog misaonog ZF-a Arrival i nešto slabije prihvaćenog Blade Runnera 2049., sad nam je isporučio svemirsku epopeju iz daleke budućnosti. Velike kuće zaraćene oko nadzora nad vitalnim energentom, mistika, pješčani krajolici i političke intrige, sve su to sastavnice ugođajem snažne i narativno meandrične priče.

Villeneuve je pažljiv graditelj atmosfere, u ovom slučaju nagovještaja prijetnje koja se nadvila nad kuću Atrides i prije dolaska na kobni pustinjski planet Arrakis gdje ih čeka sigurna pogibelj. Arrakis je velikodušno udomila stvarna Mjesečeva dolina (Wadi Rum) u Jordanu, a po njoj se kreće, lebdi i ponire pomno odabran glumački tim.
Predvodi ga mladac Timothee Chalamet koji fino uranja u ulogu Paula Atridesa, nasljednika plemenitaške loze pred istrebljenjem. Junakov asketski izgled korespondira s mističnim moćima naslijeđenim s majčine strane i nakon prvog, gotovo ritualnog ubojstva protivnika, obećava daljnju nadogradnju liderskih osobina budućeg Mesije.
Rebecca Ferguson decentno, a opet vrlo moćno, tumači lik Paulove majke Lady Jessice koja je tek počela razotkrivati moći prirođene pripadnicama njezina malicioznog sestrinstva Bene Gesserit.
Oscar Isaac kao Paulov otac vojvoda Leto glumački je uznapredovao od role pilota u Star Wars. Upravo niže pohvale za HBO-ove Prizore iz bračnog života, pa je prava šteta što se u 'Dini' ne stigne razigrati. Slično je i s lokalnim 'beduinima' iz pustinjskog plemena Fremena, Chani (Zendaya) i Stilgarom (Javier Bardem), no za njih još ima nade, kao i za korpulentnog Duncana Idahoa (Jason Momoa), Paulova mentora.
Na strani antagonista, i ne samo gabaritima, izdvaja se zlokobni baron Vladimir (Stellan Skarsgard). Dušmani iz kuće Harkonnen intrigiraju i vizualno i ustrojem, što će svakako začiniti sequel koji nagovješćuju jedna trudnoća i jedan plavooki ratnik.

Villeneuveova saga u svemu je superiorna bućkurišu Davida Lyncha iz 1980-tih, no nosi teški balast usporedbe s Lucasovim Ratovima zvijezda. Zli car u sjeni, militarističke odore, pustinja...motiva za komparaciju je napretek, a autor im dodaje i par reminiscencija na vlastite uratke, poput letjelica sličnih onima iz Arrivala.
Za 'Dinu' je pak sretna okolnost što, s izuzetkom jednog pustinjskog glodavca, ne prati obrazac SW u likovima koji humorom razbijaju napetost. Ništa neozbiljnog nema ni u dijalozima, sve naginje filozofskoj ozbiljnosti kakva je rijetka u recentnim superherojskim blockbusterima. Čak i zastrašujuća bića poput divovskih crva imaju dublji smisao (ekološki?) koji će nam se valjda otkriti u mrvicu pretencioznoj najavi drugog nastavka, čije je snimanje netom potvrđeno.

Najiščekivaniji film godine, odnosno njegov prvi od dvaju nastavaka, opravdao je očekivanja. Od redatelja Denisa Villeneuvea nismo ni očekivali manje od perfekcionizma u filmskoj adaptaciji 'Dine' (Dune), znanstveno fantastičkog klasika Franka Herberta iz daleke 1965.
Kanađanin Villeneuve, autor hvaljenog misaonog ZF-a Arrival i nešto slabije prihvaćenog Blade Runnera 2049., sad nam je isporučio svemirsku epopeju iz daleke budućnosti. Velike kuće zaraćene oko nadzora nad vitalnim energentom, mistika, pješčani krajolici i političke intrige, sve su to sastavnice ugođajem snažne i narativno meandrične priče.

Villeneuve je pažljiv graditelj atmosfere, u ovom slučaju nagovještaja prijetnje koja se nadvila nad kuću Atrides i prije dolaska na kobni pustinjski planet Arrakis gdje ih čeka sigurna pogibelj. Arrakis je velikodušno udomila stvarna Mjesečeva dolina (Wadi Rum) u Jordanu, a po njoj se kreće, lebdi i ponire pomno odabran glumački tim.
Predvodi ga mladac Timothee Chalamet koji fino uranja u ulogu Paula Atridesa, nasljednika plemenitaške loze pred istrebljenjem. Junakov asketski izgled korespondira s mističnim moćima naslijeđenim s majčine strane i nakon prvog, gotovo ritualnog ubojstva protivnika, obećava daljnju nadogradnju liderskih osobina budućeg Mesije.
Rebecca Ferguson decentno, a opet vrlo moćno, tumači lik Paulove majke Lady Jessice koja je tek počela razotkrivati moći prirođene pripadnicama njezina malicioznog sestrinstva Bene Gesserit.
Oscar Isaac kao Paulov otac vojvoda Leto glumački je uznapredovao od role pilota u Star Wars. Upravo niže pohvale za HBO-ove Prizore iz bračnog života, pa je prava šteta što se u 'Dini' ne stigne razigrati. Slično je i s lokalnim 'beduinima' iz pustinjskog plemena Fremena, Chani (Zendaya) i Stilgarom (Javier Bardem), no za njih još ima nade, kao i za korpulentnog Duncana Idahoa (Jason Momoa), Paulova mentora.
Na strani antagonista, i ne samo gabaritima, izdvaja se zlokobni baron Vladimir (Stellan Skarsgard). Dušmani iz kuće Harkonnen intrigiraju i vizualno i ustrojem, što će svakako začiniti sequel koji nagovješćuju jedna trudnoća i jedan plavooki ratnik.

Villeneuveova saga u svemu je superiorna bućkurišu Davida Lyncha iz 1980-tih, no nosi teški balast usporedbe s Lucasovim Ratovima zvijezda. Zli car u sjeni, militarističke odore, pustinja...motiva za komparaciju je napretek, a autor im dodaje i par reminiscencija na vlastite uratke, poput letjelica sličnih onima iz Arrivala.
Za 'Dinu' je pak sretna okolnost što, s izuzetkom jednog pustinjskog glodavca, ne prati obrazac SW u likovima koji humorom razbijaju napetost. Ništa neozbiljnog nema ni u dijalozima, sve naginje filozofskoj ozbiljnosti kakva je rijetka u recentnim superherojskim blockbusterima. Čak i zastrašujuća bića poput divovskih crva imaju dublji smisao (ekološki?) koji će nam se valjda otkriti u mrvicu pretencioznoj najavi drugog nastavka, čije je snimanje netom potvrđeno.
