U nedjelju se trči 307. Sinjska alka. Staza je postavljena, konji su spremni, a večeras se spremaju i Sinjani. Po dobrom starom običaju, obitelj i prijatelji svakog alkara se sastaju i druže uz iće i piće. Neposredno pokraj trkališta, pri samom dnu staze, u prizemlju stambene zgrade u kojoj je odrastao alkar Pavao Prolić, naišli smo na veselo društvo koje nas je fino ugostilo.
- Odakle ste? Iz Slobodne? Ajde, nema veze, opet ćemo van dat ist i pit - uspješno su nas namamili.
Na garaži zgradi piše "dobrodošli u kvart", a s trećeg kata vise zastave Hrvatske - i Vatikana.
- To je naš stan. Ovo je zastava koju je posvetio papa Ivan Pavao II. - kaže nam Ante, alkarov brat.
On je medicinski tehničar koji se nedavno vratio iz rada u inozemstvu. Ovo će mu biti prvi put nakon šest godina da će prisustvovati Alki. To mu, kaže, puno znači.
- Naravno da znači, pa to je veliki događaj za svakog Sinjanina. Osim toga, brat mi trče, drago mi je da mogu bit tu da ga podržim. To je velika čast za svaku sinjsku obitelj, imat alkara u obitelji - priča Ante.

Njegov brat je večeras, kao i svi alkari, u pobjednika Čoje. Takav je običaj. A onda ujutro, svi sudionici natjecanja idu na misu, alkari svi u ovog šta je dobija čoju, a oko podne na ručak. Fešta pred Alku traje desetak dana i alkari trebaju imat jako čvrst karakter da održe sportski režim pred trku.
- Ante moj, proba san ih, pričaju sto jezika - govori obiteljski prijatelj. Pitamo ga o čemu se radi?
- Da o čemu, o arambašićima moj čovik. Bit će najbolji ikad, viruj ti meni!
Pavao, koji trči drugi put, će bit jedan od 17 alkara koje je vojvoda odabrao za ovogodišnje pripetavanje. Zanima nas kako se uopće alkari pripremaju za najbitniji dan u godini.
- Pripreme kreću u peti misec u Sinjskom polju, a onda se, 15. srpnja, primištaju odi na stazu - objašnjava nam alkarov otac Ante. Otkriva nam i da se velike svote uplaćuju na pobjedu natjecatelja, dosad navodno oko 150.000 kuna. Nagovaramo ga da nam kaže tko je favorit

Tu je i bivši pobjednik Alke iz 2017., Alen Poljak, sa suprugom Moirom i malim Antoniom. Ove godine ne nastupa, ali ne zbog spreme, nego zbog posla. Ali je zato došao podržati prijatelja Prolića.
Iako se uvijek priča o alkarima i oni odnose sve nagrade i konji su iznimno bitni i zaslužni. S njima, kažu nam, alkari praktički i spavaju.
A s obzirom na decibele koji večeras trešte iz zvučnika na sinjskoj Pijaci, naspavat će se samo oni konji koji nisu u blizini. Što se tiče alkara, oni se vjerojatno naspavat neće. Ali uzbuđenje kad staneš na stazu sve to nadoknadi...

U nedjelju se trči 307. Sinjska alka. Staza je postavljena, konji su spremni, a večeras se spremaju i Sinjani. Po dobrom starom običaju, obitelj i prijatelji svakog alkara se sastaju i druže uz iće i piće. Neposredno pokraj trkališta, pri samom dnu staze, u prizemlju stambene zgrade u kojoj je odrastao alkar Pavao Prolić, naišli smo na veselo društvo koje nas je fino ugostilo.
- Odakle ste? Iz Slobodne? Ajde, nema veze, opet ćemo van dat ist i pit - uspješno su nas namamili.
Na garaži zgradi piše "dobrodošli u kvart", a s trećeg kata vise zastave Hrvatske - i Vatikana.
- To je naš stan. Ovo je zastava koju je posvetio papa Ivan Pavao II. - kaže nam Ante, alkarov brat.
On je medicinski tehničar koji se nedavno vratio iz rada u inozemstvu. Ovo će mu biti prvi put nakon šest godina da će prisustvovati Alki. To mu, kaže, puno znači.
- Naravno da znači, pa to je veliki događaj za svakog Sinjanina. Osim toga, brat mi trče, drago mi je da mogu bit tu da ga podržim. To je velika čast za svaku sinjsku obitelj, imat alkara u obitelji - priča Ante.

Njegov brat je večeras, kao i svi alkari, u pobjednika Čoje. Takav je običaj. A onda ujutro, svi sudionici natjecanja idu na misu, alkari svi u ovog šta je dobija čoju, a oko podne na ručak. Fešta pred Alku traje desetak dana i alkari trebaju imat jako čvrst karakter da održe sportski režim pred trku.
- Ante moj, proba san ih, pričaju sto jezika - govori obiteljski prijatelj. Pitamo ga o čemu se radi?
- Da o čemu, o arambašićima moj čovik. Bit će najbolji ikad, viruj ti meni!
Pavao, koji trči drugi put, će bit jedan od 17 alkara koje je vojvoda odabrao za ovogodišnje pripetavanje. Zanima nas kako se uopće alkari pripremaju za najbitniji dan u godini.
- Pripreme kreću u peti misec u Sinjskom polju, a onda se, 15. srpnja, primištaju odi na stazu - objašnjava nam alkarov otac Ante. Otkriva nam i da se velike svote uplaćuju na pobjedu natjecatelja, dosad navodno oko 150.000 kuna. Nagovaramo ga da nam kaže tko je favorit
- A šta ti ja znan, sve van je to na sriću!
Tu je i bivši pobjednik Alke iz 2017., Alen Poljak, sa suprugom Moirom i malim Antoniom. Ove godine ne nastupa, ali ne zbog spreme, nego zbog posla. Ali je zato došao podržati prijatelja Prolića.
Iako se uvijek priča o alkarima i oni odnose sve nagrade i konji su iznimno bitni i zaslužni. S njima, kažu nam, alkari praktički i spavaju.
A s obzirom na decibele koji večeras trešte iz zvučnika na sinjskoj Pijaci, naspavat će se samo oni konji koji nisu u blizini. Što se tiče alkara, oni se vjerojatno naspavat neće. Ali uzbuđenje kad staneš na stazu sve to nadoknadi...
