Uoči 31. godišnjice stradanja grada, simbolično u 18 sati i 11 minuta, na brdu iznad zaseoka Mandarići u Cisti Velikoj na zapadu Imotske krajine, zasjalo je ime grada heroja Vukovar ispisano vatrenim kuglama čime su mještani Ciste iskazali počast i poštovanje prema neprocjenjivoj žrtvi grada Vukovara.

Spektakularan je to bio prizor koji je svakog, pa i usputnog prolaznika državnom cestom kroz Cistu, ostavio bez daha. Vozila su usporavala vožnju, zastajala, a ljudi su izlazili vani kako bi se selfirali i snimili taj fascinantni prizor. A imali su što i vidjeti. Ime Vukovar protegnuto na više od tri stotine metara blistalo je u noći. Vatrene kugle napravljene su od mješavine luga i lož ulja, a truda nisu žalili članovi lokalne udruge okupljeni u lokalnoj Kulturno – umjetničkoj i športskoj udruzi (KUŠU) Cista Velika koji su ovu akciju baštinili od stanovnika Mandarića i sad je zajedno provode.

- Bojali smo se kiše koja je padala zadnjih dana pa smo sve kugle još u subotu odnijeli u brdo i rasporedili ih po slovima koja smo ranije prosikli u šumi – pojašnjava mi Ivan Mandarić, jedan od mještana koji s radošću sudjeluje u ovoj akciji odavanja počasti.

Napravili su to u čast i slavu žrtvi Vukovara i Škabrnje i svih hrvatskih branitelja poginulih u borbi za slobodu Hrvatske. U isto su vrijeme s crkve Svetoga Jakova zajecala crkvena zvona, a u očima mještana zaiskrile su suze za onima kojih više nema s nama.

Tako su Cišćani na poseban način pokazali kako pamte žrtvu grada heroja ispisujući njegovo ime. U njemu je satkano više od 600 vatrenih kugli, raspoređenih u slova visoka 50 metara, dok je umjesto slova O u imenu, iscrtan vodotoranj visok 80 metara. U prosjeku, za jedno slovo trebalo je 60 kugli, a za vodotoranj i preko 150. Za manje od sat vremena skupina momaka razletjela se po brdu i zapalila vatrene kugle!

Sve je počelo još 2013. godine kad su momci iz zaseoka Mandarić uz veliku pomoć hrvatskog branitelja Željka Mandarića koji danas više nije živ, odlučili uz tradicionalno paljenje kugli na Badnjak, ispisati i ime Vukovar u znak podrške i sjećanja na žrtvu Grada heroja. U godinama koje su uslijedile, ni kiša ni vjetar, ni snijeg ni led, nisu mogli spriječiti momke iz Mandarića u ovoj akciji odavanja počasti. Kugle su prve godine radili od slame, a danas ih prave od mješavine luga i petrulja ili lož ulja. Pale ih pomoću baklje izrađene od drveta i stare robe koja je pričvršćena žicom.

Prve godine pripreme su trajale više od mjesec dana jer je zbog teškog i nepristupačnog terena, trebalo pročistiti šumu i pronaći idealne pozicije kako bi sve bilo vidljivo. Mjerenja su napravljena bez pomoći ikakve tehnike, samo uz konop. Više od njih 20 iz Mandarića prigrabilo je kosirače i škare za uređenje terena. Nakon prve godine odlučeno je da će se ime grada heroja nastaviti ispisivati svake godine u noći uoči pada Vukovara. Ovoj, u Hrvatskoj jedinstvenoj akciji, prije nekoliko godina se pridružila udruga KUŠU Cista Velika zajedno sa svim članovima, mještanima i ostalim prijateljima Grada Heroja podržavajući početnu ideju iz Mandarića.

- Veliki broj Cišćana bio je na brojnim bojištima u obrani Hrvatske. Veza prema gradu heroju je jednaka kao i prema ostatku Hrvatske, a to je ljubav i poštovanje prema žrtvi koju je ovaj grad podnio u stvaranju Hrvatske. Tradicionalno paljenje kugli za Božić je naš iskaz ljubavi prema Bogu, stoga smo na jednak nama najljepši način iskazali zahvalnost prema gradu Vukovaru – rekao je Ivan Mandarić.

Uoči 31. godišnjice stradanja grada, simbolično u 18 sati i 11 minuta, na brdu iznad zaseoka Mandarići u Cisti Velikoj na zapadu Imotske krajine, zasjalo je ime grada heroja Vukovar ispisano vatrenim kuglama čime su mještani Ciste iskazali počast i poštovanje prema neprocjenjivoj žrtvi grada Vukovara.

Spektakularan je to bio prizor koji je svakog, pa i usputnog prolaznika državnom cestom kroz Cistu, ostavio bez daha. Vozila su usporavala vožnju, zastajala, a ljudi su izlazili vani kako bi se selfirali i snimili taj fascinantni prizor. A imali su što i vidjeti. Ime Vukovar protegnuto na više od tri stotine metara blistalo je u noći. Vatrene kugle napravljene su od mješavine luga i lož ulja, a truda nisu žalili članovi lokalne udruge okupljeni u lokalnoj Kulturno – umjetničkoj i športskoj udruzi (KUŠU) Cista Velika koji su ovu akciju baštinili od stanovnika Mandarića i sad je zajedno provode.

- Bojali smo se kiše koja je padala zadnjih dana pa smo sve kugle još u subotu odnijeli u brdo i rasporedili ih po slovima koja smo ranije prosikli u šumi – pojašnjava mi Ivan Mandarić, jedan od mještana koji s radošću sudjeluje u ovoj akciji odavanja počasti.

Napravili su to u čast i slavu žrtvi Vukovara i Škabrnje i svih hrvatskih branitelja poginulih u borbi za slobodu Hrvatske. U isto su vrijeme s crkve Svetoga Jakova zajecala crkvena zvona, a u očima mještana zaiskrile su suze za onima kojih više nema s nama.

Tako su Cišćani na poseban način pokazali kako pamte žrtvu grada heroja ispisujući njegovo ime. U njemu je satkano više od 600 vatrenih kugli, raspoređenih u slova visoka 50 metara, dok je umjesto slova O u imenu, iscrtan vodotoranj visok 80 metara. U prosjeku, za jedno slovo trebalo je 60 kugli, a za vodotoranj i preko 150. Za manje od sat vremena skupina momaka razletjela se po brdu i zapalila vatrene kugle!

Sve je počelo još 2013. godine kad su momci iz zaseoka Mandarić uz veliku pomoć hrvatskog branitelja Željka Mandarića koji danas više nije živ, odlučili uz tradicionalno paljenje kugli na Badnjak, ispisati i ime Vukovar u znak podrške i sjećanja na žrtvu Grada heroja. U godinama koje su uslijedile, ni kiša ni vjetar, ni snijeg ni led, nisu mogli spriječiti momke iz Mandarića u ovoj akciji odavanja počasti. Kugle su prve godine radili od slame, a danas ih prave od mješavine luga i petrulja ili lož ulja. Pale ih pomoću baklje izrađene od drveta i stare robe koja je pričvršćena žicom.

Prve godine pripreme su trajale više od mjesec dana jer je zbog teškog i nepristupačnog terena, trebalo pročistiti šumu i pronaći idealne pozicije kako bi sve bilo vidljivo. Mjerenja su napravljena bez pomoći ikakve tehnike, samo uz konop. Više od njih 20 iz Mandarića prigrabilo je kosirače i škare za uređenje terena. Nakon prve godine odlučeno je da će se ime grada heroja nastaviti ispisivati svake godine u noći uoči pada Vukovara. Ovoj, u Hrvatskoj jedinstvenoj akciji, prije nekoliko godina se pridružila udruga KUŠU Cista Velika zajedno sa svim članovima, mještanima i ostalim prijateljima Grada Heroja podržavajući početnu ideju iz Mandarića.

- Veliki broj Cišćana bio je na brojnim bojištima u obrani Hrvatske. Veza prema gradu heroju je jednaka kao i prema ostatku Hrvatske, a to je ljubav i poštovanje prema žrtvi koju je ovaj grad podnio u stvaranju Hrvatske. Tradicionalno paljenje kugli za Božić je naš iskaz ljubavi prema Bogu, stoga smo na jednak nama najljepši način iskazali zahvalnost prema gradu Vukovaru – rekao je Ivan Mandarić.
