Stanovnici Vrboske na otoku Hvaru svečano su proslavili blagdan sv. Lovre, đakona, mučenika i nebeskog zaštitnika svoga mjesta.

Brojni vjernici, hodočasnici i turisti nazočili su koncelebriranoj svetoj misi koju je predvodio prof. dr. sc. don Tonči Matulić s Katoličkog bogoslovnog fakulteta Sveučilišta iz Zagreba.

Uz domaćeg župnika, don Antuna Tonija Oršolića, suslavilo je još nekoliko svećenika, dok je u liturgijskom pjevanju sudjelovao crkveni zbor sv. Lovre pod ravnanjem profesorice Marice Fabrio i uz harmonijsku pratnju maestra Slavka Reljića.

Na kraju misnog slavlja mjestom je prošla velebna procesija s kipom sv. Lovre, što su ga nosili bratimi Čudotvornog sv. Križa iz Vrboske.

Dakle, Vrbovljani su slavili sv. Lovrinca (Huesca oko 225. - Rim, 10. kolovoza 258.), kako oni to kažu, jednog od prvih arhivista u Crkvi, pa je zaštitnik knjižničara, ali isto tako i komičara, mesara i kuhara. Za vrijeme rimskog cara Valerijana dijelio je crkveno blago siromašnima, da bi na kraju zbog svoje vjere bio smaknut brutalnom smrću, pekli su ga na roštilju.

Fešta je na uočnicu obogaćena predstavljanjem knjige "Hvarski triptih" autora Damira Carića, a na dan blagdana u Vrboskoj je upriličen promenadni koncert Hrvatske gradske glazbe iz Staroga Grada.

Mještani su priredili bogatu ponudu gastronomskih specijaliteta i izvornih otočnih proizvoda, a svoje goste u obiteljskim kućama, kako i priliči, dočekali s punim trpezama.

Naravno, nakon toga su se svi zajedno prepustili dobroj zabavi uz koncert Vladimira Garića i prijatelja te splitskog "Cortez benda", tako da je pjesme i veselja bilo sve do kasnih noćnih sati.

Stanovnici Vrboske na otoku Hvaru svečano su proslavili blagdan sv. Lovre, đakona, mučenika i nebeskog zaštitnika svoga mjesta.

Brojni vjernici, hodočasnici i turisti nazočili su koncelebriranoj svetoj misi koju je predvodio prof. dr. sc. don Tonči Matulić s Katoličkog bogoslovnog fakulteta Sveučilišta iz Zagreba.

Uz domaćeg župnika, don Antuna Tonija Oršolića, suslavilo je još nekoliko svećenika, dok je u liturgijskom pjevanju sudjelovao crkveni zbor sv. Lovre pod ravnanjem profesorice Marice Fabrio i uz harmonijsku pratnju maestra Slavka Reljića.

Na kraju misnog slavlja mjestom je prošla velebna procesija s kipom sv. Lovre, što su ga nosili bratimi Čudotvornog sv. Križa iz Vrboske.

Dakle, Vrbovljani su slavili sv. Lovrinca (Huesca oko 225. - Rim, 10. kolovoza 258.), kako oni to kažu, jednog od prvih arhivista u Crkvi, pa je zaštitnik knjižničara, ali isto tako i komičara, mesara i kuhara. Za vrijeme rimskog cara Valerijana dijelio je crkveno blago siromašnima, da bi na kraju zbog svoje vjere bio smaknut brutalnom smrću, pekli su ga na roštilju.

Fešta je na uočnicu obogaćena predstavljanjem knjige "Hvarski triptih" autora Damira Carića, a na dan blagdana u Vrboskoj je upriličen promenadni koncert Hrvatske gradske glazbe iz Staroga Grada.

Mještani su priredili bogatu ponudu gastronomskih specijaliteta i izvornih otočnih proizvoda, a svoje goste u obiteljskim kućama, kako i priliči, dočekali s punim trpezama.

Naravno, nakon toga su se svi zajedno prepustili dobroj zabavi uz koncert Vladimira Garića i prijatelja te splitskog "Cortez benda", tako da je pjesme i veselja bilo sve do kasnih noćnih sati.

Stanovnici Vrboske na otoku Hvaru svečano su proslavili blagdan sv. Lovre, đakona, mučenika i nebeskog zaštitnika svoga mjesta.

Brojni vjernici, hodočasnici i turisti nazočili su koncelebriranoj svetoj misi koju je predvodio prof. dr. sc. don Tonči Matulić s Katoličkog bogoslovnog fakulteta Sveučilišta iz Zagreba.

Uz domaćeg župnika, don Antuna Tonija Oršolića, suslavilo je još nekoliko svećenika, dok je u liturgijskom pjevanju sudjelovao crkveni zbor sv. Lovre pod ravnanjem profesorice Marice Fabrio i uz harmonijsku pratnju maestra Slavka Reljića.

Na kraju misnog slavlja mjestom je prošla velebna procesija s kipom sv. Lovre, što su ga nosili bratimi Čudotvornog sv. Križa iz Vrboske.

Dakle, Vrbovljani su slavili sv. Lovrinca (Huesca oko 225. - Rim, 10. kolovoza 258.),...
