Sveti Lovre, prema predaji, preminuo je mučeničkom smrću u Rimu, sredinom trećeg stoljeća poslije Krista.

Povijesne priče govore da su ga progonitelji ispekli na ražnju.

Gotovo dva tisućljeća nakon stradavanja tog rimskog đakona porijeklom iz današnje Španjolske, neki novi mučitelji, možda i vjernici, bacili su ljagu na spomen na svetog Lovru. Naime, kako piše Portal grada Kaštela, u crkvici sv. Lovre na Ostrogu, povijesnom naselju na padinama Kozjaka iz kojeg je nastao Kaštel Lukšić kakav se danas poznaje, zasad nepoznat netko je - gradelavao na oltaru!

Sveti Lovre, prema predaji, preminuo je mučeničkom smrću u Rimu, sredinom trećeg stoljeća poslije Krista.

Povijesne priče govore da su ga progonitelji ispekli na ražnju.

Gotovo dva tisućljeća nakon stradavanja tog rimskog đakona porijeklom iz današnje Španjolske, neki novi mučitelji, možda i vjernici, bacili su ljagu na spomen na svetog Lovru. Naime, kako piše Portal grada Kaštela, u crkvici sv. Lovre na Ostrogu, povijesnom naselju na padinama Kozjaka iz kojeg je nastao Kaštel Lukšić kakav se danas poznaje, zasad nepoznat netko je - gradelavao na oltaru!

Sveti Lovre, prema predaji, preminuo je mučeničkom smrću u Rimu, sredinom trećeg stoljeća poslije Krista.

Povijesne priče govore da su ga progonitelji ispekli na ražnju.

Gotovo dva tisućljeća nakon stradavanja tog rimskog đakona porijeklom iz današnje Španjolske, neki novi mučitelji, možda i vjernici, bacili su ljagu na spomen na svetog Lovru. Naime, kako piše Portal grada Kaštela, u crkvici sv. Lovre na Ostrogu, povijesnom naselju na padinama Kozjaka iz kojeg je nastao Kaštel Lukšić kakav se danas poznaje, zasad nepoznat netko je - gradelavao na oltaru!

- Ovako nešto ni barbarima ne bi palo napamet - na oltaru gradelavati, a ispred njega spremati peku – svjedoči čitatelj Portala grada Kaštela, zgrožen viđenim, te dodaje:
