Lipanj - početak klimatološkog ljeta - obilježilo je iznadprosječno toplo i razmjerno suho vrijeme. Prva polovina mjeseca bila je, doduše, promjenljiva i nestabilna, no kiše i pljuskova bilo je uglavnom u unutrašnjosti, povremeno i na sjevernom Jadranu, a znatno rjeđe na jugu, u Dalmaciji, gdje je palo malo ili čak nimalo kiše.

Lovro Kalin, voditelj Službe za vremensku analizu, verifikaciju i prognostički sustav DHMZ-a prokomentirao je za 'Slobodnu' dugoročnu sezonsku prognozu iz koje se nazire kako nas čekaju više temperature od prosjeka s velikom opasnošću od požara.

- Ako uzmemo u obzir da je svemu prethodila dugotrajna suša koja je trajala tijekom proljeća, sigurno je da su vremenske prilike bile razmjerno nepovoljne, odnosno da su se u kontekstu šumskih požara odrazile i na stanje gorivog materijala. U drugoj polovini mjeseca znatno je i zatoplilo, te su nastupila i dva prilično snažna toplinska vala. Visoke temperature dakako dodatno nepovoljno utječu na isušivanje goriva – navodi meteorolog Kalin.

- U razdoblju koje je pred nama, prema dosadašnjim prognostičkim izračunima, srednja se sezonska temperatura za nastavak ljeta te početak jeseni (srpanj, kolovoz i rujan) predviđa viša od klimatološkog srednjaka uz veliku vjerojatnost ostvarenja prognoze. Pritom je pozitivno odstupanje temperature od prosjeka izgledno u sva tri mjeseca. Očekuje se manja ukupna sezonska količina oborina od višegodišnjeg srednjaka ili najviše oko njega uz umjerenu do veliku vjerojatnost ostvarenja prognoze.

Manje oborina nego što je uobičajeno, izgledno je u srpnju. Vjerojatnost za količinu kiše bliže prosječnim vrijednostima povećana je u drugoj polovini sezone, no valja napomenuti da su u priobalnom području u ljetnim mjesecima oborine ionako razmjerno rijetke, osobito u Dalmaciji, odnosno da u prosjeku padne tek nekoliko desetaka milimetara kiše mjesečno – navodi Kalin, napominjući kako dugoročne prognoze treba tumačiti u zbirnom kontekstu, dakle kao prognozu za čitavo razdoblje (mjesec ili sezonu), a unutar toga razdoblja odstupanja su moguća – dapače i vjerojatna.

- Konkretno, iako se srednja sezonska temperatura zraka očekuje uglavnom viša od prosjeka, to ne isključuje barem kraća hladnija razdoblja. Isto tako, iako se ukupna sezonska količina oborina predviđa manja od prosjeka ili oko njega, zbog pljuskovitog karaktera oborina uz jače konvektivne procese lokalno su moguće izraženije oborine, primjerice u kratkom vremenskom razdoblju moguća je količina oborina usporediva s mjesečnim srednjakom.

No, s obzirom na to da se u prosjeku predviđaju temperature više od uobičajenih, mogući su u nastavku ljeta i novi toplinski valovi. Ipak, nemoguće je točno prognozirati hoće li se i kada oni dogoditi. Zbog toga treba pratiti redovne srednjoročne - sedmodnevne - prognoze koje su u tom smislu vrlo pouzdane – objasnio nam je meteorolog Lovro Kalin, zaključujući kako je prognoza pred nama u požarnom smislu relativno nepovoljna, odnosno protupožarna sezona bi mogla biti pojačana.

Na kraju, nije na odmet ponoviti - za vrijeme toplinskog vala izbjegavajte prekomjernu izloženost suncu, zaštitite glavu i, dakako, pijte dovoljno tekućine.

Između 10 i 17 sati ne bi trebalo biti na otvorenom prostoru, a to posebno važi za starije građane, trudnice i kronične bolesnike. Treba piti puno tekućine, boraviti u rashlađenim i klimatiziranim prostorima sa šest stupnjeva razlike od vanjske temperature, jesti češće i manje obroke. Izbjegavati slanu hranu, alkohol i kavu. Idealno bi bilo sobnu temperaturu držati ispod 32 Celzijeva stupnja danju i ispod 24 Celzijeva stupnja noću.

Osobe koje rade na otvorenom trebaju se češće odmoriti, nositi pokrivalo za glavu, skloniti se u hlad i svakih pola sata piti tekućinu. Ne ostavljajte djecu i životinje u parkiranom automobilu. Redovito koristite kreme sa zaštitnim faktorom od štetnog UV zračenja uvažavajući dnevne promjene vrijednosti UV indeksa. Tuširajte se ili kupajte u mlakoj vodi. Nosite laganu, široku i svijetlu odjeću od prirodnih materijala. Za kretanje na otvorenom stavite šešir širokog oboda ili kapu i sunčane naočale.

'VRUĆA TOČKA KANADE'
Lytton - selo nestalo u požaru
Kanada gori, što od požara, što od nezapamćenih vrućina koje u Britanskoj Kolumbiji dosežu i 50 Celzijevih stupnjeva. U toj regiji temperaturni rekordi ruše se svakodnevno: dosegle su šokantnih 47,9 ° C. Zbog saharskih temperatura već su deseci građana umrli od toplinskog stresa, ceste se izvijaju, a električni kabeli tope.
Lytton, selo s 250 stanovnika u toj provinciji tri dana zaredom je obaralo temperaturni rekord u povijesti mjerenja u Kanadi, a fibra u zraku je skakala do 49,6 Celzijevih stupnjeva nakon čega je mjesto - doslovno izgorjelo u požaru!
Načelnik je u srijedu objavio naredbu za hitnu evakuaciju zbog približavanja eksplozivnog požara koji je kroz dvadesetak minuta progutao mjesto, ostavivši za sobom za sada neutvrđeni broj ljudskih žrtava.
Lytton je poznat kao 'vruća točka Kanade' zbog visokih ljetnih temperatura koje su se 'dobacivale' do 35, čak i 40 stupnjeva, ali nikad toliko kao ovog ljeta: najviše je bilo 1941. godine, 44,4 stupnja. Studija iz 2015. godine otkrila je da se planinska područja iznad 2000 metara visine zagrijavaju oko 75 posto brže od nižih mjesta.

Lipanj - početak klimatološkog ljeta - obilježilo je iznadprosječno toplo i razmjerno suho vrijeme. Prva polovina mjeseca bila je, doduše, promjenljiva i nestabilna, no kiše i pljuskova bilo je uglavnom u unutrašnjosti, povremeno i na sjevernom Jadranu, a znatno rjeđe na jugu, u Dalmaciji, gdje je palo malo ili čak nimalo kiše.

Lovro Kalin, voditelj Službe za vremensku analizu, verifikaciju i prognostički sustav DHMZ-a prokomentirao je za 'Slobodnu' dugoročnu sezonsku prognozu iz koje se nazire kako nas čekaju više temperature od prosjeka s velikom opasnošću od požara.

- Ako uzmemo u obzir da je svemu prethodila dugotrajna suša koja je trajala tijekom proljeća, sigurno je da su vremenske prilike bile razmjerno nepovoljne, odnosno da su se u kontekstu šumskih požara odrazile i na stanje gorivog materijala. U drugoj polovini mjeseca znatno je i zatoplilo, te su nastupila i dva prilično snažna toplinska vala. Visoke temperature dakako dodatno nepovoljno utječu na isušivanje goriva – navodi meteorolog Kalin.

- U razdoblju koje je pred nama, prema dosadašnjim prognostičkim izračunima, srednja se sezonska temperatura za nastavak ljeta te početak jeseni (srpanj, kolovoz i rujan) predviđa viša od klimatološkog srednjaka uz veliku vjerojatnost ostvarenja prognoze. Pritom je pozitivno odstupanje temperature od prosjeka izgledno u sva tri mjeseca. Očekuje se manja ukupna sezonska količina oborina od višegodišnjeg srednjaka ili najviše oko njega uz umjerenu do veliku vjerojatnost ostvarenja prognoze.

Manje oborina nego što je uobičajeno, izgledno je u srpnju. Vjerojatnost za količinu kiše bliže prosječnim vrijednostima povećana je u drugoj polovini sezone, no valja napomenuti da su u priobalnom području u ljetnim mjesecima oborine ionako razmjerno rijetke, osobito u Dalmaciji, odnosno da u prosjeku padne tek nekoliko desetaka milimetara kiše mjesečno – navodi Kalin, napominjući kako dugoročne prognoze treba tumačiti u zbirnom kontekstu, dakle kao prognozu za čitavo razdoblje (mjesec ili sezonu), a unutar toga razdoblja odstupanja su moguća – dapače i vjerojatna.

- Konkretno, iako se srednja sezonska temperatura zraka očekuje uglavnom viša od prosjeka, to ne isključuje barem kraća hladnija razdoblja. Isto tako, iako se ukupna sezonska količina oborina predviđa manja od prosjeka ili oko njega, zbog pljuskovitog karaktera oborina uz jače konvektivne procese lokalno su moguće izraženije oborine, primjerice u kratkom vremenskom razdoblju moguća je količina oborina usporediva s mjesečnim srednjakom.

No, s obzirom na to da se u prosjeku predviđaju temperature više od uobičajenih, mogući su u nastavku ljeta i novi toplinski valovi. Ipak, nemoguće je točno prognozirati hoće li se i kada oni dogoditi. Zbog toga treba pratiti redovne srednjoročne - sedmodnevne - prognoze koje su u tom smislu vrlo pouzdane – objasnio nam je meteorolog Lovro Kalin, zaključujući kako je prognoza pred nama u požarnom smislu relativno nepovoljna, odnosno protupožarna sezona bi mogla biti pojačana.

Na kraju, nije na odmet ponoviti - za vrijeme toplinskog vala izbjegavajte prekomjernu izloženost suncu, zaštitite glavu i, dakako, pijte dovoljno tekućine.

Između 10 i 17 sati ne bi trebalo biti na otvorenom prostoru, a to posebno važi za starije građane, trudnice i kronične bolesnike. Treba piti puno tekućine, boraviti u rashlađenim i klimatiziranim prostorima sa šest stupnjeva razlike od vanjske temperature, jesti češće i manje obroke. Izbjegavati slanu hranu, alkohol i kavu. Idealno bi bilo sobnu temperaturu držati ispod 32 Celzijeva stupnja danju i ispod 24 Celzijeva stupnja noću.

Osobe koje rade na otvorenom trebaju se češće odmoriti, nositi pokrivalo za glavu, skloniti se u hlad i svakih pola sata piti tekućinu. Ne ostavljajte djecu i životinje u parkiranom automobilu. Redovito koristite kreme sa zaštitnim faktorom od štetnog UV zračenja uvažavajući dnevne promjene vrijednosti UV indeksa. Tuširajte se ili kupajte u mlakoj vodi. Nosite laganu, široku i svijetlu odjeću od prirodnih materijala. Za kretanje na otvorenom stavite šešir širokog oboda ili kapu i sunčane naočale.

'VRUĆA TOČKA KANADE'
Lytton - selo nestalo u požaru
Kanada gori, što od požara, što od nezapamćenih vrućina koje u Britanskoj Kolumbiji dosežu i 50 Celzijevih stupnjeva. U toj regiji temperaturni rekordi ruše se svakodnevno: dosegle su šokantnih 47,9 ° C. Zbog saharskih temperatura već su deseci građana umrli od toplinskog stresa, ceste se izvijaju, a električni kabeli tope.
Lytton, selo s 250 stanovnika u toj provinciji tri dana zaredom je obaralo temperaturni rekord u povijesti mjerenja u Kanadi, a fibra u zraku je skakala do 49,6 Celzijevih stupnjeva nakon čega je mjesto - doslovno izgorjelo u požaru!
Načelnik je u srijedu objavio naredbu za hitnu evakuaciju zbog približavanja eksplozivnog požara koji je kroz dvadesetak minuta progutao mjesto, ostavivši za sobom za sada neutvrđeni broj ljudskih žrtava.
Lytton je poznat kao 'vruća točka Kanade' zbog visokih ljetnih temperatura koje su se 'dobacivale' do 35, čak i 40 stupnjeva, ali nikad toliko kao ovog ljeta: najviše je bilo 1941. godine, 44,4 stupnja. Studija iz 2015. godine otkrila je da se planinska područja iznad 2000 metara visine zagrijavaju oko 75 posto brže od nižih mjesta.
