U Baćini kod Ploča, na području Sladinac, tijekom realizacije kapitalnog projekta izgradnje odvodnje i vodoopskrbe, u iskopu u kolniku Jadranske magistrale, za sada su pronađena tri groba iz nepoznatoga razdoblja.

Grobovi su očišćeni, dokumentirani i snimljeni, ali trenutno je nemoguće utvrditi iz kojeg vremena datiraju. Jedini trag je srebreni dubrovački dinar koji je, uz ostatke kostiju, pronađen u jednome grobu.

Nakon ovoga otkrića, počeo je arheološki nadzor nad tim lokalitetom, jer se ne isključuje mogućnost novih pronalazaka tijekom komunalnih radova koji slijede. Posebice zbog toga što su, prema riječima Tonija Glučine, ravnatelja Arheološkog muzeja Narona, uz samo gradilište otkriveni i ostaci arhitekture za koju se još ne zna što predstavlja i iz kojeg razdoblja potječe.

Radovi se stoga izvode s pojačanim oprezom, jer spomenutom trasom prolazi vodovod, elektroenergetski kabel, kanalizacija, te telefonski i telekomunikacijski vodovi.

Samo nekoliko metara dalje, uz državnu cestu, nalaze se ostaci crkve svetoga Andrije, zbog koje je 60-ih godina prošloga stoljeća, prema kazivanju starijih mještana Baćine, na tome dijelu promijenjena trasa Magistrale. Sakralni objekt potječe iz šestog stoljeća i, kako ističe ravnatelj Glučina, bila je to zavidna građevina za svoje vrijeme s lijepom opremom.

Glavne konture crkve sačuvane su do danas, a unutar građevine i sarkofag s poklopcem. Uz ostatke crkve nalazi se ploča iz 3. stoljeća posvećena rimskom građaninu Murijanu Sekundu, koji je živio, kako piše, 25 godina manje tri mjeseca. Postavila ju je "veoma nesretna sekundina", a natpis je svojevremeno preveo fra Karlo Jurišić.

- Riječ je o vrlo bogatom arheološkom nalazištu, ovo je pravi El Dorado što se tiče arheologije. Očito je Baćina oduvijek bila vrlo atraktivno područje za naseljavanje. Nalazište treba sačuvati, kada je crkva u pitanju neophodno je konzervirati zidove, a interpretacijskom pločom prezentirati lokalitet - smatra muzejski ravnatelj.

Podsjetimo, nekoliko stotina metara od lokacije iznad Ploča, prije nekoliko godina, također uz samu državnu prometnicu, pronađeni su grobovi iz helenističkog razdoblja, iz trećeg stoljeća prije Krista, s uvoznim materijalom podrijetlom iz južne Italije.

Pronađena su i brojna koplja, što upućuje na ratnički ukop, te razni brončani nakit, staklene perlice i novčići.

U Baćini kod Ploča, na području Sladinac, tijekom realizacije kapitalnog projekta izgradnje odvodnje i vodoopskrbe, u iskopu u kolniku Jadranske magistrale, za sada su pronađena tri groba iz nepoznatoga razdoblja.

Grobovi su očišćeni, dokumentirani i snimljeni, ali trenutno je nemoguće utvrditi iz kojeg vremena datiraju. Jedini trag je srebreni dubrovački dinar koji je, uz ostatke kostiju, pronađen u jednome grobu.

Nakon ovoga otkrića, počeo je arheološki nadzor nad tim lokalitetom, jer se ne isključuje mogućnost novih pronalazaka tijekom komunalnih radova koji slijede. Posebice zbog toga što su, prema riječima Tonija Glučine, ravnatelja Arheološkog muzeja Narona, uz samo gradilište otkriveni i ostaci arhitekture za koju se još ne zna što predstavlja i iz kojeg razdoblja potječe.

Radovi se stoga izvode s pojačanim oprezom, jer spomenutom trasom prolazi vodovod, elektroenergetski kabel, kanalizacija, te telefonski i telekomunikacijski vodovi.

Samo nekoliko metara dalje, uz državnu cestu, nalaze se ostaci crkve svetoga Andrije, zbog koje je 60-ih godina prošloga stoljeća, prema kazivanju starijih mještana Baćine, na tome dijelu promijenjena trasa Magistrale. Sakralni objekt potječe iz šestog stoljeća i, kako ističe ravnatelj Glučina, bila je to zavidna građevina za svoje vrijeme s lijepom opremom.

Glavne konture crkve sačuvane su do danas, a unutar građevine i sarkofag s poklopcem. Uz ostatke crkve nalazi se ploča iz 3. stoljeća posvećena rimskom građaninu Murijanu Sekundu, koji je živio, kako piše, 25 godina manje tri mjeseca. Postavila ju je "veoma nesretna sekundina", a natpis je svojevremeno preveo fra Karlo Jurišić.

- Riječ je o vrlo bogatom arheološkom nalazištu, ovo je pravi El Dorado što se tiče arheologije. Očito je Baćina oduvijek bila vrlo atraktivno područje za naseljavanje. Nalazište treba sačuvati, kada je crkva u pitanju neophodno je konzervirati zidove, a interpretacijskom pločom prezentirati lokalitet - smatra muzejski ravnatelj.

Podsjetimo, nekoliko stotina metara od lokacije iznad Ploča, prije nekoliko godina, također uz samu državnu prometnicu, pronađeni su grobovi iz helenističkog razdoblja, iz trećeg stoljeća prije Krista, s uvoznim materijalom podrijetlom iz južne Italije.

Pronađena su i brojna koplja, što upućuje na ratnički ukop, te razni brončani nakit, staklene perlice i novčići.
