Živa ličinka plemenite periske pronađena je u uvali Artatore na Malom Lošinju, a dano joj je ime Luce po biologinji Luciji Cordobi Lopez iz Seville koja ju je prva uočila, priopćio je u srijedu Hrvatski veterinarski institut.

Ličinka plemenite periske otkrivena je u ponedjeljak tijekom istraživanja koje vodi Veterinarski institut u suradnji s udrugom Plavi svijet i specijalnom policijom iz Malog Lošinja. Mala periska pronađena je pri pregledavanju kolektora namijenjenih prikupljanju ličinki periske.

"U svibnju smo postavili mreže u uvali Artatore nadajući se da će morske struje na njih nanijeti ličinke periske. Sada te kolektore vadimo iz mora kako bismo ih pregledali te mladim periskama omogućili razvoj u kontroliranim uvjetima. Kad odrastu, vraćat ćemo ih u more“, kazao je Željko Mihaljević, patolog i epidemiolog na Institutu i voditelj istraživačkog tima. 

Nakon masovnog pomora periski na Sredozemlju, u sklopu projekta očuvanja plemenite periske u Jadranu institucije su u hrvatskom dijelu mora potvrdile otkriće 18 živih jedinki plemenite periske. Svako novo otkriće, pogotovo mladih jedinki, iznimno je dragocjeno, ističu na Veterinarskom institutu.

Dragocjeno otkriće mladih jedinki periske

Budući da je ličinku periske na kolektoru u uvali Artatore prva uočila Lucia Cordoba Lopez, mladoj periski dano je ime Luce. Brzo te s mnogo brige i pažnje odvezena je u pulski Aquarium i smještena u karantenski odjel.

"Periska Luce otkrivena je kasno poslijepodne, a kako bi sigurno i što brže stigla u Aquarium Pula u trenu se povezao lanac ljudi spremnih joj pomoći. Bez brzog, pažljivo izvedenog i koordiniranog transfera iz mora u akvarij mlada periska ne bi preživjela. Iz Aquariuma smo dobili jasan protokol pripreme mlade ličinke za put", ispričala je Angela Bradarić, tehnička suradnica u istraživačkom timu Hrvatskog veterinarskog instituta.

Smjestili su je, rekla je, u specijalni kontejner sa sedimentom s mjesta gdje je pronađena te morskom vodom postojane temperature.

Budući da je spremnik s periskom trebalo promptno prebaciti na kopno, dragocjeni teret preuzeli su djelatnici Jadrolinijina trajekta Porozina-Brestova. Prvi časnik Atila Gršković obećao je brinuti se o jedinstvenom gostu na komandnom mostu. U Brestovi je perisku predao Zoranu Mičiću, koji ju je odvezao u Aquaium Pulu.

Luce smještena u pulski Aquarium

"Juvenilna periska smještena je u karantenski odjel Aquariuma Pula. Održavanje juvenilnih periski u karantenskim uvjetima zahtijeva strogo kontrolirane uvjete, UV tretiranu i filtriranu morsku vodu te određenu količinu žive hrane - različitih vrsta fitoplanktona. Aquarium Pula jedina je institucija u Hrvatskoj zadužena za održavanje mladih i odraslih jedinki periske u kontroliranim (ex-situ) uvjetima", kazala je biologinja Matea Stankić iz Aquariuma.

Projekt očuvanja plemenite periske u Jadranu sufinanciran je sredstvima Fonda za zaštitu okoliša i energetsku učinkovitost, a njegovu provedbu koordinira Ministarstvo gospodarstva i održivog razvoja.

Masovni pomor periske krenuo je prije pet godina iz Španjolske, a u Jadranu je prvo veliko izumiranje periski uočeno prije dvije godine. Masovno uginuće periski prouzročio je parazit Haplosporidium pinnae u kombinaciji s mikobakterijama, podsjeća Hrvatski veterinarski institut.

Živa ličinka plemenite periske pronađena je u uvali Artatore na Malom Lošinju, a dano joj je ime Luce po biologinji Luciji Cordobi Lopez iz Seville koja ju je prva uočila, priopćio je u srijedu Hrvatski veterinarski institut.

Ličinka plemenite periske otkrivena je u ponedjeljak tijekom istraživanja koje vodi Veterinarski institut u suradnji s udrugom Plavi svijet i specijalnom policijom iz Malog Lošinja. Mala periska pronađena je pri pregledavanju kolektora namijenjenih prikupljanju ličinki periske.

"U svibnju smo postavili mreže u uvali Artatore nadajući se da će morske struje na njih nanijeti ličinke periske. Sada te kolektore vadimo iz mora kako bismo ih pregledali te mladim periskama omogućili razvoj u kontroliranim uvjetima. Kad odrastu, vraćat ćemo ih u more“, kazao je Željko Mihaljević, patolog i epidemiolog na Institutu i voditelj istraživačkog tima. 

Nakon masovnog pomora periski na Sredozemlju, u sklopu projekta očuvanja plemenite periske u Jadranu institucije su u hrvatskom dijelu mora potvrdile otkriće 18 živih jedinki plemenite periske. Svako novo otkriće, pogotovo mladih jedinki, iznimno je dragocjeno, ističu na Veterinarskom institutu.

Budući da je ličinku periske na kolektoru u uvali Artatore prva uočila Lucia Cordoba Lopez, mladoj periski dano je ime Luce. Brzo te s mnogo brige i pažnje odvezena je u pulski Aquarium i smještena u karantenski odjel.

"Periska Luce otkrivena je kasno poslijepodne, a kako bi sigurno i što brže stigla u Aquarium Pula u trenu se povezao lanac ljudi spremnih joj pomoći. Bez brzog, pažljivo izvedenog i koordiniranog transfera iz mora u akvarij mlada periska ne bi preživjela. Smjestili su je, rekla je, u specijalni kontejner sa sedimentom s mjesta gdje je pronađena te morskom vodom postojane temperature.

Budući da je spremnik s periskom trebalo promptno prebaciti na kopno, dragocjeni teret preuzeli su djelatnici Jadrolinijina trajekta Porozina-Brestova. Prvi časnik Atila Gršković obećao je brinuti se o jedinstvenom gostu na komandnom mostu. U Brestovi je perisku predao Zoranu Mičiću, koji ju je odvezao u Aquaium Pulu.

"Juvenilna periska smještena je u karantenski odjel Aquariuma Pula. Održavanje juvenilnih periski u karantenskim uvjetima zahtijeva strogo kontrolirane uvjete, UV tretiranu i filtriranu morsku vodu te određenu količinu žive hrane - različitih vrsta fitoplanktona. Aquarium Pula jedina je institucija u Hrvatskoj zadužena za održavanje mladih i odraslih jedinki periske u kontroliranim (ex-situ) uvjetima", kazala je biologinja Matea Stankić iz Aquariuma.

Projekt očuvanja plemenite periske u Jadranu sufinanciran je sredstvima Fonda za zaštitu okoliša i energetsku učinkovitost, a njegovu provedbu koordinira Ministarstvo gospodarstva i održivog razvoja.

Masovni pomor periske krenuo je prije pet godina iz Španjolske, a u Jadranu je prvo veliko izumiranje periski uočeno prije dvije godine. Masovno uginuće periski prouzročio je parazit Haplosporidium pinnae u kombinaciji s mikobakterijama, podsjeća Hrvatski veterinarski institut.

Živa ličinka plemenite periske pronađena je u uvali Artatore na Malom Lošinju, a dano joj je ime Luce po biologinji Luciji Cordobi Lopez iz Seville koja ju je prva uočila, priopćio je u srijedu Hrvatski veterinarski institut.

Ličinka plemenite periske otkrivena je u ponedjeljak tijekom istraživanja koje vodi Veterinarski institut u suradnji s udrugom Plavi svijet i specijalnom policijom iz Malog Lošinja. Mala periska pronađena je pri pregledavanju kolektora namijenjenih prikupljanju ličinki periske.

"U svibnju smo postavili mreže u uvali Artatore nadajući se da će morske struje na njih nanijeti ličinke periske. Sada te kolektore vadimo iz mora kako bismo ih pregledali te mladim periskama omogućili razvoj u kontroliranim uvjetima. Kad odrastu, vraćat ćemo ih u more“, kazao je Željko Mihaljević, patolog i epidemiolog na Institutu i voditelj istraživačkog tima. 

Nakon masovnog pomora periski na Sredozemlju, u sklopu projekta očuvanja plemenite periske u Jadranu institucije su u hrvatskom dijelu mora potvrdile otkriće 18 živih jedinki plemenite periske. Svako novo otkriće, pogotovo mladih jedinki, iznimno je dragocjeno, ističu na Veterinarskom institutu.

Budući da je ličinku periske na kolektoru u uvali Artatore prva uočila Lucia Cordoba Lopez, mladoj periski dano je ime Luce. Brzo te s mnogo brige i pažnje odvezena je u pulski Aquarium i smještena u karantenski odjel.

"Periska Luce otkrivena je kasno poslijepodne, a kako bi sigurno i što brže stigla u Aquarium Pula u trenu se povezao lanac ljudi spremnih joj pomoći. Bez brzog, pažljivo izvedenog i koordiniranog transfera iz mora u akvarij mlada periska ne bi preživjela.
