Narušen je ugled Venecije koja postaje veliko sidrište turističkih kruzera, takva bi mogla biti budućnost grada upisanog na UNESCO-ov popis svjetske baštine ako ta agencija ostvari prijetnju i stavi je na popis ugrožene baštine.   

Gradske vlasti oklijevaju odustati od kruzera i stoga bi UNESCO mogao Veneciju upisati na crvenu listu sredinom srpnja kada se očekuje novo izvješće koje bi moglo osuditi Italiju jer ne smanjuje uplovljavanje brodskih turističkih grdosija i masovnog turizma.

Vlada u Rimu na upozorenje UNESCO-a odgovorila je da će brzo poduzeti korake kako bi popravila situaciju. 

"Rješavanju tog pitanja ozbiljno ćemo pristupiti", rekao je talijanski ministar kulture Dario Franceschini i poručio "Više nema vremena za oklijevanje".

Međutim, već se godinama vodi bitka za očuvanje grada koji je u 2019. godini prije pandemije privukao 5,5 milijuna turista željnih posjetiti Trg sv. Marka i provozati se gondolama venecijanskim kanalima.

Političari u Rimu, u regiji Veneto i samome gradu godinama se natežu s incijativima poslovne zajednice u pogledu najboljeg smjera za dragulj na vodi.

Venecija i njezina laguna upisani su na UNESCO-ov popis svjetske baštine od 1987., a taj status je važan jer može proizvesti prihod za lokalno gospodarstvo.

Ako UNESCO ostvari svoju prijetnju, Italija će morati donijeti novi akcijski plan i predati ga do veljače 2022., prenosi talijanska novinska agencija Ansa. 

UNESO će o tome glasati između 16. i 31. srpnja. Prije nekoliko godina ta svjetska organizacija razmatrala je mogućnost da Veneciju posvema ukloni s popisa svjetske baštine.

Početkom lipnja, nakon godinu i po dana stanke zbog pandemije, prvi veliki kruzer isplovio je praćen glasnim prosvjedima građana.

Službeni Rim početkom travnja odlučio je prikupljati zamisli koje bi omogućile da se veliki kruzeri drže podalje od lagune.

Mnogi su u tome vidjeli zabranu za velike brodove (s više od 40.000 BRTG) kako bi se spriječilo njihovo uplovljavanje do Trga sv. Marka, no to se nije dogodilo.

Rješenja se još traže, a prema medijima, prijelazni period bilo bi sidrenje u industrijskoj luci Marghera, a dugoročno u velikoj, skupoj, novoj luci na otvorenom moru.

"Industrijska luka Marghera dio je lagune. Čak i ako se kruzeri budu ondje sidrili, laguna će se uništavati", rekla je Peta Reski, njemačka autorica koja živi u Veneciji.

Ističe da grad od njih ima malo koristi jer turisti s kruzera ne noće u gradu, u njemu rijetko jedu i provode malo vremena.

U svakom slučaju, stručnjaci UNESCO-a pišu u svojoj analizi da je turistički bum u kombinaciji s padom broja lokalnog stanovništva "u velikoj mjeri doveo do gubitka povijesne autentičnosti" Venecije.

Zabrinutost izražavaju i zbog klimatskih promjena.

Narušen je ugled Venecije koja postaje veliko sidrište turističkih kruzera, takva bi mogla biti budućnost grada upisanog na UNESCO-ov popis svjetske baštine ako ta agencija ostvari prijetnju i stavi je na popis ugrožene baštine.   

Gradske vlasti oklijevaju odustati od kruzera i stoga bi UNESCO mogao Veneciju upisati na crvenu listu sredinom srpnja kada se očekuje novo izvješće koje bi moglo osuditi Italiju jer ne smanjuje uplovljavanje brodskih turističkih grdosija i masovnog turizma.

Vlada u Rimu na upozorenje UNESCO-a odgovorila je da će brzo poduzeti korake kako bi popravila situaciju. 

"Rješavanju tog pitanja ozbiljno ćemo pristupiti", rekao je talijanski ministar kulture Dario Franceschini i poručio "Više nema vremena za oklijevanje".

Međutim, već se godinama vodi bitka za očuvanje grada koji je u 2019. godini prije pandemije privukao 5,5 milijuna turista željnih posjetiti Trg sv. Marka i provozati se gondolama venecijanskim kanalima.

Političari u Rimu, u regiji Veneto i samome gradu godinama se natežu s incijativima poslovne zajednice u pogledu najboljeg smjera za dragulj na vodi.

Venecija i njezina laguna upisani su na UNESCO-ov popis svjetske baštine od 1987., a taj status je važan jer može proizvesti prihod za lokalno gospodarstvo.

Ako UNESCO ostvari svoju prijetnju, Italija će morati donijeti novi akcijski plan i predati ga do veljače 2022., prenosi talijanska novinska agencija Ansa. 

UNESO će o tome glasati između 16. i 31. srpnja. Prije nekoliko godina ta svjetska organizacija razmatrala je mogućnost da Veneciju posvema ukloni s popisa svjetske baštine.

Početkom lipnja, nakon godinu i po dana stanke zbog pandemije, prvi veliki kruzer isplovio je praćen glasnim prosvjedima građana.

Službeni Rim početkom travnja odlučio je prikupljati zamisli koje bi omogućile da se veliki kruzeri drže podalje od lagune.

Mnogi su u tome vidjeli zabranu za velike brodove (s više od 40.000 BRTG) kako bi se spriječilo njihovo uplovljavanje do Trga sv. Marka, no to se nije dogodilo.

Rješenja se još traže, a prema medijima, prijelazni period bilo bi sidrenje u industrijskoj luci Marghera, a dugoročno u velikoj, skupoj, novoj luci na otvorenom moru.

"Industrijska luka Marghera dio je lagune. Čak i ako se kruzeri budu ondje sidrili, laguna će se uništavati", rekla je Peta Reski, njemačka autorica koja živi u Veneciji.

Ističe da grad od njih ima malo koristi jer turisti s kruzera ne noće u gradu, u njemu rijetko jedu i provode malo vremena.

U svakom slučaju, stručnjaci UNESCO-a pišu u svojoj analizi da je turistički bum u kombinaciji s padom broja lokalnog stanovništva "u velikoj mjeri doveo do gubitka povijesne autentičnosti" Venecije.

Zabrinutost izražavaju i zbog klimatskih promjena.

Narušen je ugled Venecije koja postaje veliko sidrište turističkih kruzera, takva bi mogla biti budućnost grada upisanog na UNESCO-ov popis svjetske baštine ako ta agencija ostvari prijetnju i stavi je na popis ugrožene baštine.
