Sa žaljenjem vas obavještavamo da je uginuo Žorž, jedinka glavate želve (Caretta caretta) koja je 29. 12. 2021. stigla u Centar za oporavak morskih kornjača u vrlo teškom stanju, objavio je Aquarium Pula na svojoj Facebok stranici.

Kako bi saznali razlog smrti, jedinku smo predali Hrvatskom veterinarskom institutu gdje je predstojnik Odjela za patologiju, dr.sc. Željko Mihaljević, dr. med. vet. proveo autopsiju.

Postmortalnom analizom utvrđeno je da se u probavilu Žorža nalazio ribarski najlon od 40-tak cm koji se nije mogao dijagnosticirati na rendgenskoj snimci. Najlon je izazvao nekrozu od preko 90% crijeva koja na žalost nije bila izlječiva, te jedinki nije bilo spasa. 

Da se prisjetimo, Žorž je pronađen 21. 12. 2021. na obalama otoka Visa te mu je amputirana desna, prednja peraja. Bio je vidno neuhranjen pri čemu je primijenjen i poseban protokol ishrane. 

Ovom prilikom zahvaljujemo se Hrvatskom veterinarskom institutu kao i svim ostalim suradnicima koji su nam pripomogli u spašavanju Žorža, kažu iz pulskog akvarija.

Sa žaljenjem vas obavještavamo da je uginuo Žorž, jedinka glavate želve (Caretta caretta) koja je 29. 12. 2021. stigla u Centar za oporavak morskih kornjača u vrlo teškom stanju, objavio je Aquarium Pula na svojoj Facebok stranici.

Kako bi saznali razlog smrti, jedinku smo predali Hrvatskom veterinarskom institutu gdje je predstojnik Odjela za patologiju, dr.sc. Željko Mihaljević, dr. med. vet. proveo autopsiju.

Postmortalnom analizom utvrđeno je da se u probavilu Žorža nalazio ribarski najlon od 40-tak cm koji se nije mogao dijagnosticirati na rendgenskoj snimci. Najlon je izazvao nekrozu od preko 90% crijeva koja na žalost nije bila izlječiva, te jedinki nije bilo spasa. 

Da se prisjetimo, Žorž je pronađen 21. 12. 2021. na obalama otoka Visa te mu je amputirana desna, prednja peraja. Bio je vidno neuhranjen pri čemu je primijenjen i poseban protokol ishrane. 

Ovom prilikom zahvaljujemo se Hrvatskom veterinarskom institutu kao i svim ostalim suradnicima koji su nam pripomogli u spašavanju Žorža, kažu iz pulskog akvarija.

aquarium pulaUginula glavata želva Žorž, u probavilu mu se nalazio ribarski najlon koji je izazvao nekrozu od preko 90% crijeva

Sa žaljenjem vas obavještavamo da je uginuo Žorž, jedinka glavate želve (Caretta caretta) koja je 29. 12. 2021. stigla u Centar za oporavak morskih kornjača u vrlo teškom stanju, objavio je Aquarium Pula na svojoj Facebok stranici.

Kako bi saznali razlog smrti, jedinku smo predali Hrvatskom veterinarskom institutu gdje je predstojnik Odjela za patologiju, dr.sc. Željko Mihaljević, dr. med. vet. proveo autopsiju.

Postmortalnom analizom utvrđeno je da se u probavilu Žorža nalazio ribarski najlon od 40-tak cm koji se nije mogao dijagnosticirati na rendgenskoj snimci. Najlon je izazvao nekrozu od preko 90% crijeva koja na žalost nije bila izlječiva, te jedinki nije bilo spasa. 

Da se prisjetimo, Žorž je pronađen 21. 12. 2021. na obalama otoka Visa te mu je amputirana desna, prednja peraja. Bio je vidno neuhranjen pri čemu je primijenjen i poseban protokol ishrane. 

Ovom prilikom zahvaljujemo se Hrvatskom veterinarskom institutu kao i svim ostalim suradnicima koji su nam pripomogli u spašavanju Žorža, kažu iz pulskog akvarija.
