Nakon velikog pomora periski na Mediteranu, pronađena je nova živa jedinka u južnom Jadranu, u podmorju Lastovskog otočja, izvijestio je u subotu Hrvatski veterinarski institut (HVI), naglasivši da je to fantastična vijest.

Kraj Pasadura na Lastovu pronađena je živa periska. Lastovsko otočje tako je postalo najjužnija točka Jadrana na kojoj je zabilježena živa jedinka nakon velikog pomora periski na Mediteranu, navode iz HVI-a.

Na južnom Jadranu do sada je otkriveno svega nekoliko živih jedinki.

Hrvatski veterinarski institut radi na dijagnosticiranju bolesti koja je dovela do uginuća periski, te istražuje gdje postoje žive jedinke i radi na njihovoj zaštiti i obnovi populacije periski.

Masovni pomor periske krenuo je prije pet godina iz Španjolske, a u Jadranu je prvo veliko izumiranje periski uočeno prije dvije godine na Paklinskim otocima.

Uginuće periski u Jadranu prouzročio parazit u kombinaciji s mikobakterijama

„Kad smo na vanjskim rubovima staništa periski vidjeli da dolazi do uginuća školjaka, prva istraživačka područja koja su nam pomogla u otkrivanju kako i od čega periske ugibaju, te kako se bolest širi - postavili smo u suradnji s Javnom ustanovom Nacionalni park Mljet na Malom jezeru. Utvrdili smo da je masovno uginuće periski u Jadranu prouzročio parazit Haplosporidium pinnae u kombinaciji s mikobakterijama“, kazao je Boris Habrun, ravnatelj Hrvatskog veterinarskog instituta.

Agresivni parazit podmorjem je širio bolest poput požara i staništa periski brzo pretvorio u njihove masovne grobnice. Zato svaka živa periska koja se otkriva u Jadranu, djeluje poput feniksa, dodao je.

„Otkriće žive periske kraj Lastova fantastična je vijest jer se činilo da su u najjužnijem dijelu hrvatskog Jadrana sve periske uginule. Periske koje su preživjele, imaju posebnu imunost koja nam je zanimljiva za istraživanje, ali i koja nam daje nadu da bi se populacija periski u Jadranu mogla obnoviti. Sada je važno pronaći što više preživjelih jedinki", rekao je Željko Mihaljević, patolog i epidemiolog na Hrvatskom veterinarskom institutu.

Zamolio je i za pomoć građane, pogotovo one koji će ljeto provesti u rekreativnom ronjenju.

Projekt „Očuvanja plemenite periske u Jadranu“

"Ako opaze perisku za koju posumnjaju da je živa, trebaju iznad nje nježno proći kroz morsku vodu rukom, a periska će se, osjećajući vibracije, zatvoriti. Lokaciju žive periske građani potom trebaju prijaviti Ministarstvu gospodarstva i održivog razvoja“, savjetuje patolog i epidemiolog Mihaljević, voditelj istraživačkog tima koji je u zaron kraj Pasadura krenuo nakon dojave lokalnog ribara i pod nadzorom stručne voditeljice Parka prirode Lastovsko otočje, Lucije Kapiteli Rakić, i biologinje i ekologinje Parka, Brune Đuković.

Budući da se periska nalazi na dva metra dubine, radi njezine zaštite od predatora i slučajnih oštećenja zaštićena je privremenim kavezom.

Na to područje Mihaljević je stigao radeći na projektu „Očuvanje plemenite periske u Jadranu“ na kojem Hrvatski veterinarski institut surađuje s Javnom ustanovom More i krš i Javnom ustanovom Nacionalni park Brijuni.

Projekt je sufinanciran sredstvima Fonda za zaštitu okoliša i energetsku učinkovitost, a njegovu provedbu koordinira Ministarstvo gospodarstva i održivog razvoja.

„Kako bismo pomogli oporavku populacije periski u prirodi, na nekoliko smo mjesta u Jadranu postavili kolektore za ličinke periski. Nadamo se da će preživjele periske dati ličinke te da će nam morske struje pomoći u njihovu prikupljanju. Ličinke potom prevozimo u Aquarium Pula gdje se periske uzgajaju kako bismo ih mogli vratiti u more u trenutku kad ih više neće ugrožavati opasni parazit“, rekao je Mihaljević.

Periska je endem Sredozemlja, najveći je školjkaš koji živi u Jadranu i u Hrvatskoj je strogo zaštićena vrsta. Periske su najčešće visoke između 30 i 50 centimetara, no neke dosežu i visinu od 120 centimetara.

Riječ je o izuzetno osjetljivoj vrsti, a njezina prisutnost potvrda je čistoće mora.

Nakon velikog pomora periski na Mediteranu, pronađena je nova živa jedinka u južnom Jadranu, u podmorju Lastovskog otočja, izvijestio je u subotu Hrvatski veterinarski institut (HVI), naglasivši da je to fantastična vijest.

Kraj Pasadura na Lastovu pronađena je živa periska. Lastovsko otočje tako je postalo najjužnija točka Jadrana na kojoj je zabilježena živa jedinka nakon velikog pomora periski na Mediteranu, navode iz HVI-a.

Na južnom Jadranu do sada je otkriveno svega nekoliko živih jedinki.

Hrvatski veterinarski institut radi na dijagnosticiranju bolesti koja je dovela do uginuća periski, te istražuje gdje postoje žive jedinke i radi na njihovoj zaštiti i obnovi populacije periski.

Masovni pomor periske krenuo je prije pet godina iz Španjolske, a u Jadranu je prvo veliko izumiranje periski uočeno prije dvije godine na Paklinskim otocima.

Uginuće periski u Jadranu prouzročio parazit u kombinaciji s mikobakterijama

„Kad smo na vanjskim rubovima staništa periski vidjeli da dolazi do uginuća školjaka, prva istraživačka područja koja su nam pomogla u otkrivanju kako i od čega periske ugibaju, te kako se bolest širi - postavili smo u suradnji s Javnom ustanovom Nacionalni park Mljet na Malom jezeru. Utvrdili smo da je masovno uginuće periski u Jadranu prouzročio parazit Haplosporidium pinnae u kombinaciji s mikobakterijama“, kazao je Boris Habrun, ravnatelj Hrvatskog veterinarskog instituta.

Agresivni parazit podmorjem je širio bolest poput požara i staništa periski brzo pretvorio u njihove masovne grobnice. Zato svaka živa periska koja se otkriva u Jadranu, djeluje poput feniksa, dodao je.

„Otkriće žive periske kraj Lastova fantastična je vijest jer se činilo da su u najjužnijem dijelu hrvatskog Jadrana sve periske uginule. Periske koje su preživjele, imaju posebnu imunost koja nam je zanimljiva za istraživanje, ali i koja nam daje nadu da bi se populacija periski u Jadranu mogla obnoviti. Sada je važno pronaći što više preživjelih jedinki", rekao je Željko Mihaljević, patolog i epidemiolog na Hrvatskom veterinarskom institutu.

Zamolio je i za pomoć građane, pogotovo one koji će ljeto provesti u rekreativnom ronjenju.

Projekt „Očuvanja plemenite periske u Jadranu“

"Ako opaze perisku za koju posumnjaju da je živa, trebaju iznad nje nježno proći kroz morsku vodu rukom, a periska će se, osjećajući vibracije, zatvoriti. Lokaciju žive periske građani potom trebaju prijaviti Ministarstvu gospodarstva i održivog razvoja“, savjetuje patolog i epidemiolog Mihaljević, voditelj istraživačkog tima koji je u zaron kraj Pasadura krenuo nakon dojave lokalnog ribara i pod nadzorom stručne voditeljice Parka prirode Lastovsko otočje, Lucije Kapiteli Rakić, i biologinje i ekologinje Parka, Brune Đuković.

Budući da se periska nalazi na dva metra dubine, radi njezine zaštite od predatora i slučajnih oštećenja zaštićena je privremenim kavezom.

Na to područje Mihaljević je stigao radeći na projektu „Očuvanje plemenite periske u Jadranu“ na kojem Hrvatski veterinarski institut surađuje s Javnom ustanovom More i krš i Javnom ustanovom Nacionalni park Brijuni.

Projekt je sufinanciran sredstvima Fonda za zaštitu okoliša i energetsku učinkovitost, a njegovu provedbu koordinira Ministarstvo gospodarstva i održivog razvoja.

„Kako bismo pomogli oporavku populacije periski u prirodi, na nekoliko smo mjesta u Jadranu postavili kolektore za ličinke periski. Nadamo se da će preživjele periske dati ličinke te da će nam morske struje pomoći u njihovu prikupljanju. Ličinke potom prevozimo u Aquarium Pula gdje se periske uzgajaju kako bismo ih mogli vratiti u more u trenutku kad ih više neće ugrožavati opasni parazit“, rekao je Mihaljević.

Periska je endem Sredozemlja, najveći je školjkaš koji živi u Jadranu i u Hrvatskoj je strogo zaštićena vrsta. Periske su najčešće visoke između 30 i 50 centimetara, no neke dosežu i visinu od 120 centimetara.

Riječ je o izuzetno osjetljivoj vrsti, a njezina prisutnost potvrda je čistoće mora.

Nakon velikog pomora periski na Mediteranu, pronađena je nova živa jedinka u južnom Jadranu, u podmorju Lastovskog otočja, izvijestio je u subotu Hrvatski veterinarski institut (HVI), naglasivši da je to fantastična vijest.

Kraj Pasadura na Lastovu pronađena je živa periska. Lastovsko otočje tako je postalo najjužnija točka Jadrana na kojoj je zabilježena živa jedinka nakon velikog pomora periski na Mediteranu, navode iz HVI-a.

Na južnom Jadranu do sada je otkriveno svega nekoliko živih jedinki.

Hrvatski veterinarski institut radi na dijagnosticiranju bolesti koja je dovela do uginuća periski, te istražuje gdje postoje žive jedinke i radi na njihovoj zaštiti i obnovi populacije periski.

Masovni pomor periske krenuo je prije pet godina iz Španjolske, a u Jadranu je prvo veliko izumiranje periski uočeno prije dvije godine na Paklinskim otocima.

Uginuće periski u Jadranu prouzročio parazit u kombinaciji s mikobakterijama

„Kad smo na vanjskim rubovima staništa periski vidjeli da dolazi do uginuća školjaka, prva istraživačka područja koja su nam pomogla u otkrivanju kako i od čega periske ugibaju, te kako se bolest širi - postavili smo u suradnji s Javnom ustanovom Nacionalni park Mljet na Malom jezeru. Utvrdili smo da je masovno uginuće periski u Jadranu prouzročio parazit Haplosporidium pinnae u kombinaciji s mikobakterijama“, kazao je Boris Habrun, ravnatelj Hrvatskog veterinarskog instituta.

Agresivni parazit podmorjem je širio bolest poput požara i staništa periski brzo pretvorio u njihove masovne grobnice. Zato svaka živa periska koja se otkriva u Jadranu, djeluje poput feniksa, dodao je.
