Predstavnici Ministarstva gospodarstva i održivog razvoja, županijskih ustanova More i krš, Rere, te Udruge Sunce i Udruga UNESCO Geopark Viški arhipelag obišli su Stupišće u obuhvata grada Komiže koji je u postupku za proglašenje kao posebni rezervat u moru. Zahvaljujući EU projektu Argos, Rera je izradila studiju za stručnu podlogu koja je preduvjet proglašenju zaštićenog područja. Cilj ovog obilaska bio je utvrđivanje granica područja u moru i na kopnu, kao i prikupljanje dodatnih podataka o biološkoj raznolikosti područja.

U obuhvatu budućeg rezervata nalazi se nekoliko atraktivnih ronilačkih lokaliteta na koraligenskim strmcima i potopljenom brodu Vassilios, kao i mediolitoralna morska špilja u uvali Gnjilna koja je u okviru EU projekta Eastern Mediterranean Monk Seal evidentirana kao potencijalno odmorište za sredozemnu medvjedicu.

U obuhvatu zaštite je i stanište Mediteranske morske cvjetnice posidonije. Kopneni dio obuhvaća uski obalni pojas pod utjecajem valova unutar kojeg se nalaze zanimljive geološke formacije poput breče na krajnjoj sjevernom rubu granice.

Cilj budućeg rezervata očuvanje je morske biološke raznolikosti priobalja pa će na prostoru od otprilike 100 ha biti potpuno zabranjen ribolov dok će ronjenje, kajakarenje i slične turističke aktivnosti biti regulirane. Takva zaštita, uz strogi nadzor, može doprinijeti obnovi staništa i vrsta što su potvrdila iskustva drugih zemalja Mediterana poput Italije, Francuske i Španjolske, a i nama blizak primjer Jabučke kotline.

Proglašenje područja očekuje se najranije u 2024. godini.

Predstavnici Ministarstva gospodarstva i održivog razvoja, županijskih ustanova More i krš, Rere, te Udruge Sunce i Udruga UNESCO Geopark Viški arhipelag obišli su Stupišće u obuhvata grada Komiže koji je u postupku za proglašenje kao posebni rezervat u moru. Zahvaljujući EU projektu Argos, Rera je izradila studiju za stručnu podlogu koja je preduvjet proglašenju zaštićenog područja. Cilj ovog obilaska bio je utvrđivanje granica područja u moru i na kopnu, kao i prikupljanje dodatnih podataka o biološkoj raznolikosti područja.

U obuhvatu budućeg rezervata nalazi se nekoliko atraktivnih ronilačkih lokaliteta na koraligenskim strmcima i potopljenom brodu Vassilios, kao i mediolitoralna morska špilja u uvali Gnjilna koja je u okviru EU projekta Eastern Mediterranean Monk Seal evidentirana kao potencijalno odmorište za sredozemnu medvjedicu.

U obuhvatu zaštite je i stanište Mediteranske morske cvjetnice posidonije. Kopneni dio obuhvaća uski obalni pojas pod utjecajem valova unutar kojeg se nalaze zanimljive geološke formacije poput breče na krajnjoj sjevernom rubu granice.

Cilj budućeg rezervata očuvanje je morske biološke raznolikosti priobalja pa će na prostoru od otprilike 100 ha biti potpuno zabranjen ribolov dok će ronjenje, kajakarenje i slične turističke aktivnosti biti regulirane. Takva zaštita, uz strogi nadzor, može doprinijeti obnovi staništa i vrsta što su potvrdila iskustva drugih zemalja Mediterana poput Italije, Francuske i Španjolske, a i nama blizak primjer Jabučke kotline.

Proglašenje područja očekuje se najranije u 2024. godini.

Predstavnici Ministarstva gospodarstva i održivog razvoja, županijskih ustanova More i krš, Rere, te Udruge Sunce i Udruga UNESCO Geopark Viški arhipelag obišli su Stupišće u obuhvata grada Komiže koji je u postupku za proglašenje kao posebni rezervat u moru. Zahvaljujući EU projektu Argos, Rera je izradila studiju za stručnu podlogu koja je preduvjet proglašenju zaštićenog područja. Cilj ovog obilaska bio je utvrđivanje granica područja u moru i na kopnu, kao i prikupljanje dodatnih podataka o biološkoj raznolikosti područja.

U obuhvatu budućeg rezervata nalazi se nekoliko atraktivnih ronilačkih lokaliteta na koraligenskim strmcima i potopljenom brodu Vassilios, kao i mediolitoralna morska špilja u uvali Gnjilna koja je u okviru EU projekta Eastern Mediterranean Monk Seal evidentirana kao potencijalno odmorište za sredozemnu medvjedicu.

U obuhvatu zaštite je i stanište Mediteranske morske cvjetnice posidonije. Kopneni dio obuhvaća uski obalni pojas pod utjecajem valova unutar kojeg se nalaze zanimljive geološke formacije poput breče na krajnjoj sjevernom rubu granice.

Cilj budućeg rezervata očuvanje je morske biološke raznolikosti priobalja pa će na prostoru od otprilike 100 ha biti potpuno zabranjen ribolov dok će ronjenje, kajakarenje i slične turističke aktivnosti biti regulirane. Takva zaštita, uz strogi nadzor, može doprinijeti obnovi staništa i vrsta što su potvrdila iskustva drugih zemalja Mediterana poput Italije, Francuske i Španjolske, a i nama blizak primjer Jabučke kotline.

Proglašenje područja očekuje se najranije u 2024. godini.
