Istraživači u Kaliforniji objavili su kako su (vjerojatno) po prvi puta vidjeli novorođenu veliku bijelu psinu. Ne uživo, naravno, nego na slikama koje su snimljene dronom prošlog ljeta, a potom su se mjesecima pregledavale. Ta je objava vijest u svim svjetskim medijima jer novorođenče ove vrste nikad nije viđeno u divljini, piše Jutarnji list.

U srpnju su redatelj filmova o divljini Carlos Gauna i Phillip Sternes, doktorand biologije na Kalifornijskom sveučilištu Riverside, ugledali nešto neočekivano u vodama u blizini Santa Barbare na središnjoj obali Kalifornije.

Gaunina kamera snimila je nešto što je izgledalo kao mladunče velikog bijelog morskog psa, dugačko oko metar i pol i posve bijelo. Neobično je to. jer su morski psi inače s gornje strane tijela sivi, a bijeli samo s donje.

- Uvećali smo snimke i shvatili da se bijeli sloj skida s tijela dok je mladunče plivalo. Vjerujem da je to bio novorođeni psina koja je odbacila svoj embrionalni sloj - rekao je Sternes, piše Guardian.

Sternes i Gauna, koji su do sad snimali morske pse diljem svijeta i čije snimke na YouTubeu imaju milijune pregleda, dokumentirali su svoja otkrića u članku objavljenom ovog tjedna u časopisu Environmental Biology of Fishes.

U tom članku istraživački dvojac priznaje da je moguće kako je tanki bijeli sloj koji prekriva morskog psa možda kožno oboljenje, ali ističu kako su oni uvjereni da je to bio novorođena psina. Životinja koju su vidjeli bila je taman toliko velika da može biti novorođena, dodali su.

Gauna je rekao da je prije toga promatrao potencijalno skotne ženke ovih morskih psa u tom području, a ovo se stvorenje pojavilo unutar vremena u kojem bi bilo za očekivati da je neka od njih donijela mladunče na svijet. Zbog toga je ovo otkriće opisao kao "jedan od svetih gralova znanosti o morskim psima".

- Nitko nikada nije uspio odrediti gdje su rođeni, niti je itko vidio novorođenu bebu morskog psa živog - stoji u članku.

Istraživači smatraju kako je životinja koju su snimili stara nekoliko dana ili sati.

- Unatoč velikom interesu za ove morske pse, nitko nije vidio rođenje ili novorođenče u divljini. Ovo bi mogao biti prvi dokaz koji imamo o mladuncu u njihovom prirodnom okruženju - istaknuo je Sternes, a drugi su stručnjaci ovo otkriće nazvali velikim i značajnim, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Istraživači u Kaliforniji objavili su kako su (vjerojatno) po prvi puta vidjeli novorođenu veliku bijelu psinu. Ne uživo, naravno, nego na slikama koje su snimljene dronom prošlog ljeta, a potom su se mjesecima pregledavale. Ta je objava vijest u svim svjetskim medijima jer novorođenče ove vrste nikad nije viđeno u divljini, piše Jutarnji list.

U srpnju su redatelj filmova o divljini Carlos Gauna i Phillip Sternes, doktorand biologije na Kalifornijskom sveučilištu Riverside, ugledali nešto neočekivano u vodama u blizini Santa Barbare na središnjoj obali Kalifornije.

Gaunina kamera snimila je nešto što je izgledalo kao mladunče velikog bijelog morskog psa, dugačko oko metar i pol i posve bijelo. Neobično je to. jer su morski psi inače s gornje strane tijela sivi, a bijeli samo s donje.

- Uvećali smo snimke i shvatili da se bijeli sloj skida s tijela dok je mladunče plivalo. Vjerujem da je to bio novorođeni psina koja je odbacila svoj embrionalni sloj - rekao je Sternes, piše Guardian.

Sternes i Gauna, koji su do sad snimali morske pse diljem svijeta i čije snimke na YouTubeu imaju milijune pregleda, dokumentirali su svoja otkrića u članku objavljenom ovog tjedna u časopisu Environmental Biology of Fishes.

U tom članku istraživački dvojac priznaje da je moguće kako je tanki bijeli sloj koji prekriva morskog psa možda kožno oboljenje, ali ističu kako su oni uvjereni da je to bio novorođena psina. Životinja koju su vidjeli bila je taman toliko velika da može biti novorođena, dodali su.

Gauna je rekao da je prije toga promatrao potencijalno skotne ženke ovih morskih psa u tom području, a ovo se stvorenje pojavilo unutar vremena u kojem bi bilo za očekivati da je neka od njih donijela mladunče na svijet. Zbog toga je ovo otkriće opisao kao "jedan od svetih gralova znanosti o morskim psima".

Istraživači u Kaliforniji objavili su kako su (vjerojatno) po prvi puta vidjeli novorođenu veliku bijelu psinu. Ne uživo, naravno, nego na slikama koje su snimljene dronom prošlog ljeta, a potom su se mjesecima pregledavale. Ta je objava vijest u svim svjetskim medijima jer novorođenče ove vrste nikad nije viđeno u divljini, piše Jutarnji list.

U srpnju su redatelj filmova o divljini Carlos Gauna i Phillip Sternes, doktorand biologije na Kalifornijskom sveučilištu Riverside, ugledali nešto neočekivano u vodama u blizini Santa Barbare na središnjoj obali Kalifornije.

Gaunina kamera snimila je nešto što je izgledalo kao mladunče velikog bijelog morskog psa, dugačko oko metar i pol i posve bijelo. Neobično je to. jer su morski psi inače s gornje strane tijela sivi, a bijeli samo s donje.

- Uvećali smo snimke i shvatili da se bijeli sloj skida s tijela dok je mladunče plivalo. Vjerujem da je to bio novorođeni psina koja je odbacila svoj embrionalni sloj - rekao je Sternes, piše Guardian.

Sternes i Gauna, koji su do sad snimali morske pse diljem svijeta i čije snimke na YouTubeu imaju milijune pregleda, dokumentirali su svoja otkrića u članku objavljenom ovog tjedna u časopisu Environmental Biology of Fishes.

U tom članku istraživački dvojac priznaje da je moguće kako je tanki bijeli sloj koji prekriva morskog psa možda kožno oboljenje, ali ističu kako su oni uvjereni da je to bio novorođena psina. Životinja koju su vidjeli bila je taman toliko velika da može biti novorođena, dodali su.

Gauna je rekao da je prije toga promatrao potencijalno skotne ženke ovih morskih psa u tom području, a ovo se stvorenje pojavilo unutar vremena u kojem bi bilo za očekivati da je neka od njih donijela mladunče na svijet. Zbog toga je ovo otkriće opisao kao "jedan od svetih gralova znanosti o morskim psima".
