Masovni mortalitet plemenite periske diljem Mediterana potaknuo je mnoge hrvatske stručne i znanstvene institucije na djelovanje. Tako je u 2020. godini pokrenut projekt Očuvanja plemenite periske u Jadranskom moru kojeg sufinancira Fonda za zaštitu okoliša i energetsku učinkovitost, a njegovu provedbu koordinira Ministarstvo gospodarstva i održivog razvoja, piše Gorgonija.com.

Projekt provode sve ustanove zaštite prirode na Jadranskom moru, kao i niz znanstvenih institucija i stručnih udruga. Ovo je rijedak primjer ovakvog sinergijskog djelovanja sviju, što ne čudi, jer prizori groblja plemenite periske u moru nikog ne ostavljaju ravnodušnim.

Pa tako ni naše brojne građane, nastavnike, đake, ronioce, ribare, rekreativce, sve ljubitelje morskog plavetnila, koji svojim brojnim prijavama spašavaju plemenitu perisku. Da ponovimo, plemenita periska je endem Mediterana, najveći školjkaš veličine i do 1 metra.

Filtrira otprilike 60 litara morske vode na sat čime pridonosi čistoći i bistrini morske vode. Ona je ujedno stanište algama, spužvama, cjevašima, mahovnjacima i drugim manjim životinjama, te raku čuvarkući koji živi u simbiozi s periskom.

Sva ta bioraznolikost, kao i bistrina naših uvala je pod prijetnjom. Preživjele jedinke plemenite periske se broje na prste, njihova imena se spominju u medijima, a zapravo ih ima premalo. Ujedno, uzročnik njihovog pomora još je u moru.

Klimatske promjene dodatan su stres perisci da bi se populacija uspješno oporavila. Stoga projekt poduzima dodatne mjere. Diljem Jadrana se postavljaju kolektori za prihvat ličinki plemenite periske. Tijekom kasnog proljeća i početkom ljeta preživjele i stabilne jedinke se razmnožavaju, nastaju gamete koje ako se sretnu tvore ličinku plemenite periske.

Ona kroz period od 5 do 10 dana bude dio zooplanktona nošenog strujama na razne lokacije diljem Jadrana. Kada naiđe na povoljne uvjete ličinka se prihvaća za supstrat.

Događa se takozvana regrutacija. U slučaju kolektora, ličinka će se uloviti u mrežu kolektora gdje će provesti određeno vrijeme dok ne dosegne veličinu od 1 do 2 centimetra. Sukladno uputama Međunarodne unije za zaštitu prirode i prirodnih resursa (IUCN), kolektori se vade tijekom jeseni iste godine.

Mreže se pažljivo probiru ne bi li se uočila periska koja se potom sprema u morsku vodu i transportira do Akvarija Pula. Ostali prikupljeni organizmi vraćaju se moru. Eventualni oporavak pogođenih populacija ovisit će uglavnom o postojanju netaknutih populacija, otpornih pojedinaca i regrutaciji.

Stoga je izuzetno važno srednjoročno i dugoročno pratiti regrutaciju mlađi plemenite periske kako bi se procijenilo postoje li netaknute ili čak otporne jedinke ili populacije.

Javna ustanova More i krš u suradnji s Prirodoslovnim muzejom i zoološkim vrtom iz Splita postavila je kolektore na lokacijama diljem obale Splitsko-dalmatinske županije, od Podgore do Trogira, pa preko Omiša.

Ostali partneri na projektu postavili su ili će postaviti još kolektora čija će se mreža protezati od krajnjeg juga do krajnjeg sjevera hrvatskog dijela Jadrana, te na mnogim isturenim otocima, dovoljno da se procijeni stanje.

Nadamo se da će broj jedinki o kojima brine Akvarij Pula ove godine porasti, a za iduću godinu, ili vjerojatnije neku u skoroj budućnosti, nadamo se da će uvjeti biti takvi da se plemenite periske vrate moru kojem i pripadaju.

Nadasve želimo da ih i buduće generacije promatraju kako svojom veličinom prkose morskim strujama i valovima, te plemenito brinu o brojnim ostalim organizmima.

Masovni mortalitet plemenite periske diljem Mediterana potaknuo je mnoge hrvatske stručne i znanstvene institucije na djelovanje. Tako je u 2020. godini pokrenut projekt Očuvanja plemenite periske u Jadranskom moru kojeg sufinancira Fonda za zaštitu okoliša i energetsku učinkovitost, a njegovu provedbu koordinira Ministarstvo gospodarstva i održivog razvoja, piše Gorgonija.com.

Projekt provode sve ustanove zaštite prirode na Jadranskom moru, kao i niz znanstvenih institucija i stručnih udruga. Ovo je rijedak primjer ovakvog sinergijskog djelovanja sviju, što ne čudi, jer prizori groblja plemenite periske u moru nikog ne ostavljaju ravnodušnim.

Pa tako ni naše brojne građane, nastavnike, đake, ronioce, ribare, rekreativce, sve ljubitelje morskog plavetnila, koji svojim brojnim prijavama spašavaju plemenitu perisku. Da ponovimo, plemenita periska je endem Mediterana, najveći školjkaš veličine i do 1 metra.

Filtrira otprilike 60 litara morske vode na sat čime pridonosi čistoći i bistrini morske vode. Ona je ujedno stanište algama, spužvama, cjevašima, mahovnjacima i drugim manjim životinjama, te raku čuvarkući koji živi u simbiozi s periskom.

Sva ta bioraznolikost, kao i bistrina naših uvala je pod prijetnjom. Preživjele jedinke plemenite periske se broje na prste, njihova imena se spominju u medijima, a zapravo ih ima premalo. Ujedno, uzročnik njihovog pomora još je u moru.

Klimatske promjene dodatan su stres perisci da bi se populacija uspješno oporavila. Stoga projekt poduzima dodatne mjere. Diljem Jadrana se postavljaju kolektori za prihvat ličinki plemenite periske. Tijekom kasnog proljeća i početkom ljeta preživjele i stabilne jedinke se razmnožavaju, nastaju gamete koje ako se sretnu tvore ličinku plemenite periske.

Ona kroz period od 5 do 10 dana bude dio zooplanktona nošenog strujama na razne lokacije diljem Jadrana. Kada naiđe na povoljne uvjete ličinka se prihvaća za supstrat.

Događa se takozvana regrutacija. U slučaju kolektora, ličinka će se uloviti u mrežu kolektora gdje će provesti određeno vrijeme dok ne dosegne veličinu od 1 do 2 centimetra. Sukladno uputama Međunarodne unije za zaštitu prirode i prirodnih resursa (IUCN), kolektori se vade tijekom jeseni iste godine.

Mreže se pažljivo probiru ne bi li se uočila periska koja se potom sprema u morsku vodu i transportira do Akvarija Pula. Ostali prikupljeni organizmi vraćaju se moru. Eventualni oporavak pogođenih populacija ovisit će uglavnom o postojanju netaknutih populacija, otpornih pojedinaca i regrutaciji.

Stoga je izuzetno važno srednjoročno i dugoročno pratiti regrutaciju mlađi plemenite periske kako bi se procijenilo postoje li netaknute ili čak otporne jedinke ili populacije.

Javna ustanova More i krš u suradnji s Prirodoslovnim muzejom i zoološkim vrtom iz Splita postavila je kolektore na lokacijama diljem obale Splitsko-dalmatinske županije, od Podgore do Trogira, pa preko Omiša.

Ostali partneri na projektu postavili su ili će postaviti još kolektora čija će se mreža protezati od krajnjeg juga do krajnjeg sjevera hrvatskog dijela Jadrana, te na mnogim isturenim otocima, dovoljno da se procijeni stanje.

Nadamo se da će broj jedinki o kojima brine Akvarij Pula ove godine porasti, a za iduću godinu, ili vjerojatnije neku u skoroj budućnosti, nadamo se da će uvjeti biti takvi da se plemenite periske vrate moru kojem i pripadaju.

Nadasve želimo da ih i buduće generacije promatraju kako svojom veličinom prkose morskim strujama i valovima, te plemenito brinu o brojnim ostalim organizmima.

Masovni mortalitet plemenite periske diljem Mediterana potaknuo je mnoge hrvatske stručne i znanstvene institucije na djelovanje. Tako je u 2020. godini pokrenut projekt Očuvanja plemenite periske u Jadranskom moru kojeg sufinancira Fonda za zaštitu okoliša i energetsku učinkovitost, a njegovu provedbu koordinira Ministarstvo gospodarstva i održivog razvoja, piše Gorgonija.com.

Projekt provode sve ustanove zaštite prirode na Jadranskom moru, kao i niz znanstvenih institucija i stručnih udruga. Ovo je rijedak primjer ovakvog sinergijskog djelovanja sviju, što ne čudi, jer prizori groblja plemenite periske u moru nikog ne ostavljaju ravnodušnim.
