Koncem prošle godine u kineskom brodogradilištu porinut je još jedan golemi kontejnerski brod za poznatog švicarskog brodara Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC).

Kontejnerski brod porinut je u brodogradilištu Changxing kineskog brodograditelja Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, samostalno ga je dizajnirala upravo ova kineska tvrtka. Kapaciteta je rekordnih 24.116 kontejnera (240.000 tona tereta) te je dug 400 i širok 61,5 metara, piše Offshore Energy.

MSC je za nove prinove u floti odabrao konvencionalno gorivo za pogon, a ne LNG ili alternativna goriva, no u dizajn je uključeno nekoliko značajki koje navodno poboljšavaju energetsku učinkovitost broda: maleni pramčani bulb, propelere velikog promjera i vodove za uštedu energije. Brodovi u klasi opremljeni su hibridnim scrubberom, a također su među prvim brodovima na kojima će koristiti tzv. sustav zračnog podmazivanja trupa (Air Lubrication System), koji bi prema procjenama trebao smanjiti potrošnju goriva za tri do četiri posto. Implementirani su i drugi sustavi i inovacije dizajna, primjerice osovinskog generatora, kako bi se smanjila potrošnja goriva te da bi se brod uskladio s novim EEDI zahtjevima energetske učinkovitosti plovila.

Dodajmo na kraju da je u posljednje dvije i pol godine MSC kupio više od 260 brodova.

Kontejnerski brod porinut je u brodogradilištu Changxing kineskog brodograditelja Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, samostalno ga je dizajnirala upravo ova kineska tvrtka. Kapaciteta je rekordnih 24.116 kontejnera (240.000 tona tereta) te je dug 400 i širok 61,5 metara, piše Offshore Energy.

MSC je za nove prinove u floti odabrao konvencionalno gorivo za pogon, a ne LNG ili alternativna goriva, no u dizajn je uključeno nekoliko značajki koje navodno poboljšavaju energetsku učinkovitost broda: maleni pramčani bulb, propelere velikog promjera i vodove za uštedu energije. Brodovi u klasi opremljeni su hibridnim scrubberom, a također su među prvim brodovima na kojima će koristiti tzv. sustav zračnog podmazivanja trupa (Air Lubrication System), koji bi prema procjenama trebao smanjiti potrošnju goriva za tri do četiri posto. Implementirani su i drugi sustavi i inovacije dizajna, primjerice osovinskog generatora, kako bi se smanjila potrošnja goriva te da bi se brod uskladio s novim EEDI zahtjevima energetske učinkovitosti plovila.

Dodajmo na kraju da je u posljednje dvije i pol godine MSC kupio više od 260 brodova.

Koncem prošle godine u kineskom brodogradilištu porinut je još jedan golemi kontejnerski brod za poznatog švicarskog brodara Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC).
