Neki svoju diplomu proslave uz pivo, a neki diplomiraju na pivu! Tako bi otprilike mogli kazati za Petra Puškarića, sada već bivšeg studenta Odjela za studije mora u Splitu koji je u sklopu svog diplomskog rada na studiju Ekologija i zaštita mora proizveo pivo, prvo na svijetu napravljeno pomoću kvasca izoliranog iz mora.

- Riječ je o eksperimentalnom pivu koje je nastalo kao rezultat diplomskog rada kolege. Trenutno je sve u fazi objave znanstvenog rada nakon čega bi sve trebalo ići prema komercijalizaciji ukoliko pronađemo sredstva - objasnio nam je mentor doc. Marin Ordulj ponosan na svog kolegu, sadašnjeg magistra inženjera ekologije i zaštite mora.

Svemu je ‘krivo‘ predavanje iz Mikrobiologije mora na preddiplomskom studiju Biologija i tehnologijamora gdje smo uz šalu došli do potencijalne ideje izrade piva pomoći kvasaca iz mora. Kako se Puškarić bavi pivarstvom, nije trebalo dugo da se odluči na ovaj eksperiment.

Kako pričaju, s punte Kašteleta uzeti su uzorci mora iz kojeg je uspješno izolirano 16 kvasaca. Četiri su pokazala mogućnost fermentacije, a samo jedan, Candidafamata, fermentirao je pivo. 

Tako je  u laboratoriju za mikrobiologiju Odjela za studije mora Sveučilišta u Splitu nastalo morsko pivo nazvano ‘Morski kukumar‘ s 4,6 posto alkohola, voćnih aroma, najviše citrusnih nota. Ostalo se sve posložilo: pivo je skuhano uz pomoć L.A.B. Split pivovare, boce su uzete iz kućne zalihe jer Puškarić, kako smo već rekli, bavi se pivarstvom, a oko etikete imao je pomoć prijatelja.

Ovo morsko pivo se još ne može kupiti, no jednog dana kada se skupe sredstva i potrebna oprema, moći će se nazdraviti ovim nesvakidašnjim pićem proizašlog iz znanstvenih krugova.

Neki svoju diplomu proslave uz pivo, a neki diplomiraju na pivu! Tako bi otprilike mogli kazati za Petra Puškarića, sada već bivšeg studenta Odjela za studije mora u Splitu koji je u sklopu svog diplomskog rada na studiju Ekologija i zaštita mora proizveo pivo, prvo na svijetu napravljeno pomoću kvasca izoliranog iz mora.

- Riječ je o eksperimentalnom pivu koje je nastalo kao rezultat diplomskog rada kolege. Trenutno je sve u fazi objave znanstvenog rada nakon čega bi sve trebalo ići prema komercijalizaciji ukoliko pronađemo sredstva - objasnio nam je mentor doc. Marin Ordulj ponosan na svog kolegu, sadašnjeg magistra inženjera ekologije i zaštite mora.

Svemu je ‘krivo‘ predavanje iz Mikrobiologije mora na preddiplomskom studiju Biologija i tehnologijamora gdje smo uz šalu došli do potencijalne ideje izrade piva pomoći kvasaca iz mora. Kako se Puškarić bavi pivarstvom, nije trebalo dugo da se odluči na ovaj eksperiment.

Kako pričaju, s punte Kašteleta uzeti su uzorci mora iz kojeg je uspješno izolirano 16 kvasaca. Četiri su pokazala mogućnost fermentacije, a samo jedan, Candidafamata, fermentirao je pivo. 

Tako je  u laboratoriju za mikrobiologiju Odjela za studije mora Sveučilišta u Splitu nastalo morsko pivo nazvano ‘Morski kukumar‘ s 4,6 posto alkohola, voćnih aroma, najviše citrusnih nota. Ostalo se sve posložilo: pivo je skuhano uz pomoć L.A.B. Split pivovare, boce su uzete iz kućne zalihe jer Puškarić, kako smo već rekli, bavi se pivarstvom, a oko etikete imao je pomoć prijatelja.

Ovo morsko pivo se još ne može kupiti, no jednog dana kada se skupe sredstva i potrebna oprema, moći će se nazdraviti ovim nesvakidašnjim pićem proizašlog iz znanstvenih krugova.
