Detaljna analiza treninga i regata, nešto je bez čega ozbiljni jedriličari i treneri jedrenja jednostavni ne mogu ako žele napredovati na regatnom polju.

Splićanin Ivan Bulaja, poznati jedriličar i trener, bavi se programiranjem, pa je spojio svoje ljubavi i interese, te osmislio aplikaciju SailViewer za prikupljanje, obradu i analizu podataka s treninga i regata.

- Svrha svega je da se nakon treninga ili regate, može vidjeti što se točno događalo, na brz i jednostavan način - kaže nam.

Da je na pravom putu potvrđuju i pozitivne povratne informacije jedriličara, osvajača medalja na Olimpijskim igrama i svjetskim prvenstvima koji već koriste ovu aplikaciju poput Santiaga Lange, Igora Marenića, Antona Dahlberga, Johna Gimsona, Emme Plachaert, Jamesy Petersy, braće Fantela, švedske i austrijske olimpijske reprezentacije...

SailViewer aplikacija je napravljena za androide, a čita datoteke s više uređaja: pametnih telefona, pametnih satova, SailMon, Trusail, Deckman, Vakaros, Cyclops Marine…

Niz je tehničkih elemenata koje obrađuje: izračun nagiba i stabilnosti jedrilice što je jedan od najvažnijih elemenata jedrenja, smjer vjetra, brzina i kut u vjetar i niz vjetar, gubitak u manevrima, sile na konopima, sajlama, pa taktički detalji s regatnog polja, startna linija sa svim relevantnim podacima...I sve to obrađeno u jako kratkom roku kako bi se jedriličari i njihovi treneri na vrijeme pripremili za nove okršaje na moru s konkurencijom, najčešće već sutradan kako to obično i biva na višednevnim natjecanjima.

- Ukratko, aplikacija je korisna za sve klase, od malih optimista, foiling klasa, preko krstaša i maksi jedrilica, do olimpijskih klasa - kaže autor koji iza sebe ima više od 35 godina jedrenja i treniranja olimpijskih klasa. Trenutno trenira austrijsku 49er ekipu.

Jedri od svoje 7. godine, a čak 7 puta bio je državni prvak u klasi 470 s bratom Tonijem. Sudjelovao je na Olimpijskim igrama u Sydneyu 2000. u klasi 470. Trener postaje 2002. godine te je sudjelovao na još pet Olimpijskih igara kao trener hrvatskih i austrijskih reprezentacija.

Kao trener, neprestalno smišlja taktike kako poboljšati jedrenje svoje ekipe. Kako nije mogao pronaći točno ono što je tražio, Ivan je sam krenuo u izradu softvera, no priča s programiranjem počela je puno prije:

- Kad sam imao 6 godina, davne 1983. godine, moj otac, inženjer elektronike, odlučio nam je kupiti računalo. Sjetite se Spectruma 48k. I dok je moja obitelj igrala igre, ja sam se uključio u svoje prve korake programiranja. Svidjela mi se činjenica da zapravo možete stvoriti nešto što se prikazuje na TV zaslonu.

Bavio sam se s tim u slobodno vrijeme razmišljajući između ostanka u jedrenju ili odlaska na fakultet informatike. Jedrenje je prevladalo, a kodiranje mi je i dalje bilo hobi.

Još 2006. godine osmislio sam nešto poput SailViewera, no tada su u funkciji bila velika kućna računala s kojima se nije moglo putovati. Srećom, kasnije su došli pametni telefoni s kojima je bilo lakše baratati - priča Bulaja koji je proteklih godina sve više svog slobodnog vremena posvećivao razvoju aplikacije za analizu logova sa jedrilica.

Iako do sada prima samo pozitivne recenzije, aplikaciju će svakako nastaviti razvijati.

SailViewer aplikacija je napravljena za androide, a čita datoteke s više uređaja: pametnih telefona, pametnih satova, SailMon, Trusail, Deckman, Vakaros, Cyclops Marine…

Niz je tehničkih elemenata koje obrađuje: izračun nagiba i stabilnosti jedrilice što je jedan od najvažnijih elemenata jedrenja, smjer vjetra, brzina i kut u vjetar i niz vjetar, gubitak u manevrima, sile na konopima, sajlama, pa taktički detalji s regatnog polja, startna linija sa svim relevantnim podacima...I sve to obrađeno u jako kratkom roku kako bi se jedriličari i njihovi treneri na vrijeme pripremili za nove okršaje na moru s konkurencijom, najčešće već sutradan kako to obično i biva na višednevnim natjecanjima.

- Ukratko, aplikacija je korisna za sve klase, od malih optimista, foiling klasa, preko krstaša i maksi jedrilica, do olimpijskih klasa - kaže autor koji iza sebe ima više od 35 godina jedrenja i treniranja olimpijskih klasa. Trenutno trenira austrijsku 49er ekipu.

Jedri od svoje 7. godine, a čak 7 puta bio je državni prvak u klasi 470 s bratom Tonijem. Sudjelovao je na Olimpijskim igrama u Sydneyu 2000. u klasi 470. Trener postaje 2002. godine te je sudjelovao na još pet Olimpijskih igara kao trener hrvatskih i austrijskih reprezentacija.

Kao trener, neprestalno smišlja taktike kako poboljšati jedrenje svoje ekipe. Kako nije mogao pronaći točno ono što je tražio, Ivan je sam krenuo u izradu softvera, no priča s programiranjem počela je puno prije:

- Kad sam imao 6 godina, davne 1983. godine, moj otac, inženjer elektronike, odlučio nam je kupiti računalo. Sjetite se Spectruma 48k. I dok je moja obitelj igrala igre, ja sam se uključio u svoje prve korake programiranja. Svidjela mi se činjenica da zapravo možete stvoriti nešto što se prikazuje na TV zaslonu.

Bavio sam se s tim u slobodno vrijeme razmišljajući između ostanka u jedrenju ili odlaska na fakultet informatike. Jedrenje je prevladalo, a kodiranje mi je i dalje bilo hobi.

Još 2006. godine osmislio sam nešto poput SailViewera, no tada su u funkciji bila velika kućna računala s kojima se nije moglo putovati. Srećom, kasnije su došli pametni telefoni s kojima je bilo lakše baratati - priča Bulaja koji je proteklih godina sve više svog slobodnog vremena posvećivao razvoju aplikacije za analizu logova sa jedrilica.

Iako do sada prima samo pozitivne recenzije, aplikaciju će svakako nastaviti razvijati.

Detaljna analiza treninga i regata, nešto je bez čega ozbiljni jedriličari i treneri jedrenja jednostavni ne mogu ako žele napredovati na regatnom polju.

Splićanin Ivan Bulaja, poznati jedriličar i trener, bavi se programiranjem, pa je spojio svoje ljubavi i interese, te osmislio aplikaciju SailViewer za prikupljanje, obradu i analizu podataka s treninga i regata.

- Svrha svega je da se nakon treninga ili regate, može vidjeti što se točno događalo, na brz i jednostavan način - kaže nam.
