Jug Europe pogodile su ekstremne vrućine koje će potrajati većinu ovog tjedna. Zbog dnevnih temperatura koje dosežu 40°C ili više Grčka je od petka tijekom najtoplijih sati dana, od podne do 17 sati, zatvorila za posjetitelje atensku Akropolu, najpopularniju turističku znamenitost kako bi od štetnih posljedica toplinskog vala zaštitila posjetitelje.

Je li se o sličnim preventivnim mjerama razmišljalo i u Društvu prijatelja dubrovačke starine pod čijom su ingerencijom turistima uvijek privlačni lokaliteti, poput dubrovačkih gradskih zidina, Stonskih zidina i Sokol Grada u Konavlima? Predsjednik DPDS-a Vedran Kosović kaže kako redovito prate vijesti o visokim temperaturama diljem Sredozemlja, no ni o kakvim restrikcijama tog tipa nije se razmišljalo.
- Za razliku od grčke Akropole, kod nas na zidinama postoje prostori za osvježenje, na Minčeti, primjerice, ima hlada, a duž zidina su raspoređeni volonteri Gradskog društva Crvenog križa koji su posjetiteljima uvijek dostupni za pomoć i savjet. Naša suradnja s Crvenim križem je dugogodišnja i pokazala je mnoge prednosti na tom planu – kaže Kosović koji upozorava kako bi se zatvaranjem ulaza na zidine u najtoplijem dijelu dana stvorile gužve u preostalim ranim jutarnjim i kasnim poslijepodnevnim satima, što nikome ne bi odgovaralo.

Što se tiče Sokol grada koji dizala nema, ali mu skalina ne fali, predsjednik DPDS-a kaže kako i tamo postoje unutarnji prostori gdje se izletnici mogu skloniti od žege:
- Onaj tko se može popeti na Sokola, sigurno je vitalan i nema ozbiljnih zdravstvenih problema. Prije je gore bio i mali kafić za osvježenje, no nakon korone više nije radio, postoji mogućnost da ga se rehabilitira – kaže nam sugovornik. Kad je riječ o Stonskim zidinama, s terena im ovog ljeta nije došla nijedna dojava o problemima s prekomjernim vrućinama ili da je eventualno nekom pozlilo, a mogućnost za skrivanje od vrućine svakako postoji.
U Društvu prijatelja dubrovačke starine inače su zadovoljni prometom na najposjećenijim dubrovačkim gradskim zidinama, u lipnju je primjerice zabilježen dnevni rekord od 5 tisuća posjetitelja. Broj izletnika još je daleko od rekorda i predpandemijske 2019. kad je fortifikacijski sustav razgledalo od 7 do 8 tisuća turista dnevno, no oporavak prometa itekako je evidentan.
U godini prije pandemije ovu je gradsku znamenitost obišlo 1,25 milijuna ljudi, dok je lani za trajanja pandemijskih restrikcija u šetnji po zidinama uživalo nešto više od od 700 tisuća gostiju.

Jug Europe pogodile su ekstremne vrućine koje će potrajati većinu ovog tjedna. Zbog dnevnih temperatura koje dosežu 40°C ili više Grčka je od petka tijekom najtoplijih sati dana, od podne do 17 sati, zatvorila za posjetitelje atensku Akropolu, najpopularniju turističku znamenitost kako bi od štetnih posljedica toplinskog vala zaštitila posjetitelje.

Je li se o sličnim preventivnim mjerama razmišljalo i u Društvu prijatelja dubrovačke starine pod čijom su ingerencijom turistima uvijek privlačni lokaliteti, poput dubrovačkih gradskih zidina, Stonskih zidina i Sokol Grada u Konavlima? Predsjednik DPDS-a Vedran Kosović kaže kako redovito prate vijesti o visokim temperaturama diljem Sredozemlja, no ni o kakvim restrikcijama tog tipa nije se razmišljalo.
- Za razliku od grčke Akropole, kod nas na zidinama postoje prostori za osvježenje, na Minčeti, primjerice, ima hlada, a duž zidina su raspoređeni volonteri Gradskog društva Crvenog križa koji su posjetiteljima uvijek dostupni za pomoć i savjet. Naša suradnja s Crvenim križem je dugogodišnja i pokazala je mnoge prednosti na tom planu – kaže Kosović koji upozorava kako bi se zatvaranjem ulaza na zidine u najtoplijem dijelu dana stvorile gužve u preostalim ranim jutarnjim i kasnim poslijepodnevnim satima, što nikome ne bi odgovaralo.

Što se tiče Sokol grada koji dizala nema, ali mu skalina ne fali, predsjednik DPDS-a kaže kako i tamo postoje unutarnji prostori gdje se izletnici mogu skloniti od žege:
- Onaj tko se može popeti na Sokola, sigurno je vitalan i nema ozbiljnih zdravstvenih problema. Prije je gore bio i mali kafić za osvježenje, no nakon korone više nije radio, postoji mogućnost da ga se rehabilitira – kaže nam sugovornik. Kad je riječ o Stonskim zidinama, s terena im ovog ljeta nije došla nijedna dojava o problemima s prekomjernim vrućinama ili da je eventualno nekom pozlilo, a mogućnost za skrivanje od vrućine svakako postoji.
U Društvu prijatelja dubrovačke starine inače su zadovoljni prometom na najposjećenijim dubrovačkim gradskim zidinama, u lipnju je primjerice zabilježen dnevni rekord od 5 tisuća posjetitelja. Broj izletnika još je daleko od rekorda i predpandemijske 2019. kad je fortifikacijski sustav razgledalo od 7 do 8 tisuća turista dnevno, no oporavak prometa itekako je evidentan.
U godini prije pandemije ovu je gradsku znamenitost obišlo 1,25 milijuna ljudi, dok je lani za trajanja pandemijskih restrikcija u šetnji po zidinama uživalo nešto više od od 700 tisuća gostiju.
